I thought this was going to be about pecan pie.

Better to embrace one or the other, right?

Not dumb at all. The most important thing is to be informed, which many of us now are

Pun intended?

Some guy hooked a juvenile Great White from his kayak while he was fishing in the Minas Basin in the Bay of Fundy earlier this month. The Maritime provinces have always been part of their northern range, but with increasing temperatures I have heard that some White Sharks are bypassing Cape Cod and spending the summers off of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island....

When I lived in the Vancouver area there was a building being constructed that was the tallest in the city at that time, and was being built on the highest point in the downtown core. Even so, it would have been dwarfed by most of the true skyscrapers in NYC. As it was being built a huge controversy erupted - surprise, surprise. The building had been approved to have dark windows, but there was such an uproar that the structure was looking like a black finger of doom emerging from the cityscape that the city forced the developers to change the window colour part way through construction. So the bottom 30 or so floors were dark glass and the top 15 or 20 were lighter. Eventually I believe the top windows had to be changed a decade later due to issues with the quality, and the building became uniformly dark - which I think adds interest to the cityscape rather than detracting from it.

Woke up today to hear the death toll is now 36 people. Horribly tragic. I have visited Lahaina a number of times - such a nice place, and I'm left wondering how many of the people I encountered in shops and restaurants over the years are now homeless, or worse. So very sad.

I don't have any myself, but I think that proper placement is essential. Tattoos can either enhance or detract from physical attributes - if placed along the margin of muscles I find that they can add to the definition, as opposed to covering the muscle itself. And I prefer tattoos to have some relation to each other, rather than being scattered willy-nilly and without any uniting theme.

LOL If I ever meet with anyone, I'm sure the review of me would be something like, "Nice guy, but completely clueless and awkward about even the most basic intimate activities. Seemed genuinely surprised I was willing to stay after he removed the paper bag from over his head." 🤣

Taking Cash With You To Foreign Country
CuriousByNature replied to + Lucky's topic in The Travel Desk
Just make sure that your bank card PIN is the correct number of digits. Many countries apparently require a 4-digit PIN. I always carry cash in the currency of the country I am visiting, as well as my credit cards. In case my wallet is stolen or lost, I keep a photocopy of my various cards (front and back) in a hidden part of my luggage. And I normally divide my cash between my wallet, a jacket pocket, and the hotel room safe, preferably replenishing the cash on me from the safe each day. If I run out while I am sightseeing I just start using my credit cards. -

I'm afraid I don't have any helpful advice, but I'm sorry to hear you are dealing with such a difficult situation. -
I'm afraid this was not the case for me... LOL

Didn't realize that husky, hirsute men would be treated that way. -
Ummmm. Of course they did. But the dinosaurs and unicorns slept in late that day.

Good for him Now, will he choose what's behind door #1, #2 or #3? Or, maybe the point is it can be all of the above? -
Here's a couple that are a decent size. One has no issue being ridden, and the other is into swinging.

At least it's a beverage that's been stored in a well-aged cask.

SMALL ISSUES WITH PROVIDERS THAT GIVE A BAD RAP
CuriousByNature replied to ICTJOCK's topic in Questions About Hiring
I had an uncle who had the most horrible breath. It wasn't because of tooth decay because he had dentures and was meticulous about maintaining them. In his case it was these things called tonsil stones, which I believe are bits of food that get stuck in the tonsils and get covered in layers and layers of bacteria. His mouth smelled like a sewer, which was sad because he was always nice to talk to. You just had to sit far enough away. -
Colombard = also totally unrelated to the above (and a great grape for making wine)

I'm at the opposite end of that spectrum. Being tickled freaks me out. For me the only thing worse would be getting tickled by a clown in a locked room with a snake in it. YIKES
