It's part of my Norton subscription and I never notice it except for the occasional time it can't make a wifi connection to turn on and I can't get online until it does.  But that doesn't happen often & usually takes only a minute or two to resolve itself.
I'm technologically illiterate, so I can't give any better details about the situation.
Try it with the deep discount.  What's the worst that can happen?  If you don't like it, uninstall it, and you'll only be out a few bucks.

I'd love to see a major motion picture come out of Hollywood that is 100% happy and has absolutely nothing sad or depressing in it...
a romantic comedy with an ensemble cast of gay men.... maybe like something like "Pride Weekend", and it'll be set in Provincetown, and it's about ten gay men from all different ages and backgrounds who meet there and they have lots of fun.  There can be cameos by Liza and Dolly and Cher and Madonna.... and Charo too!

I think most people are able to make commitments and keep them most of the time.  Being a bit late due to traffic?  Sure, though better prepared people would simply leave earlier if they know they are traveling when there is likely to be heavy traffic, so unless that traffic is worse than usual it's still more about the person's poor planning.  I know some people are just generally late.  I don't like it because I'm generally on time or a little early, but if I like someone I can adjust expectations.  The escort I hired most often was always late.  Having to cancel plans at the last minute is a different thing.  I really don't think most people have jobs where emergencies come up at the last minute that they cannot say no to, at least not very often.  So, again, it gets back to planning.  Why not just schedule a meeting with an escort at a time you know you will be available?  And if that really isn't possible for someone because he's an on-call doctor or someone else who frequently has last-minute work interruptions of his personal life, then why not just do what Kevin Slater suggested and just book in the moment instead of in advance.

Just a hunch, but I think "Mr. Number"  or some subscription app is  where 'providers' check out the number that texted them. One gent showed me the history of comments made  associated with my phone number, it was sorta funny. "He didn't tip" (yup), "He departed after saying my pictures in my ad weren't  me" (yup)...

Goodness. How about we let the man say who he is and what he is and take him at his word? Time will tell, but I've always wondered why nearly every time I read a story similar to this, it takes the same course. "He's really gay, he can't be bi. Bi's just a stepping stone. There may be Bi guys, but he can't be one cause...x, y, z."

And...he very well could be. He says he is. I'm gonna leave it there and say, "Good for him."

I feel bad for him that he's still buying into the dogma, it's not helping him. 30 and still apparently never having had sex isn't a good thing. I hope he finds someone and can shed the baggage.

Started it last night, 4 episodes watched. Yes a bit slow, but fascinating. Agree it might not have widespread appeal.
    I loved “Dark”.

1899 sucked me into its mystery box after only 1 episode, and I quickly binged it. A little surprising, since I snoozed through the 1st season of Dark (same producers) and never saw the appeal. But 1899 is dark, slow to some, and a little cerebral, so not sure how widespread the appeal will be. I liked the characters, the setting, the abundance of mysteries, and very civilized online fan community trying to decipher all the puzzles.

There is a learning curve on Mastodon, but there was on Twitter and everything else too at first. Worth giving it a try.

Twitter may not be going anywhere, but advertisers are leaving. Users are starting to look elsewhere. Engagement numbers are up, but a trainwreck brings a crowd.  Financially, I find it hard to see how it will find its way back to a $44 Billion valuation.
Leaving politics aside and definitely out of this discussion.
I'm finding the Mastodon fediverse a different experience than Twitter. Some learning curve with the new platform for sure.  Folks are rebuilding some networks. There's definitely more content moderation occuring depending on instance joined. This may not be sustainable in the long term.
At least one of infosec folks has resecurrected a forum site. Imagine that. Company of Men.  Ha! Forum sites being used in the 2020s.

The schadenfreude we are all enjoying over this story was worth every penny of the $44 billion Musk set on fire. This is hilarious.

I moved over my Twitter presence for cybersecurity stuff over to Mastodon because I've joined the club that Twitter will prolly implode badly in the coming months.
50% Layoff and the remaining have to sign a "hardcore" pledge by tomorrow.
Outages are going to be inevitable at this point with that much brain drain.

Crypto is a relatively new angle.  For a long time I was getting the "army guys", who are just waiting to come back home to my welcoming arms.  They followed a pretty predictable script, and I could throw them off just by asking which unit they were in.
