I went a few days ago. Got Kai. Ok massage. Left happy but likely won't repeat. Place is nice though. Rooms are big and it's clean.

Why won't you repeat? Didn't like the place or the one guy?

  2. Yes to all of the above.

I would say the massages are "tourist massages" or "wyt lady massages" ie lavendar scented light to medium pressure rub downs with a very high price tag ($120ish before tip).  Is it worth it? I treat myself on vacation but I wouldn't pay that at home for a mediocre rub down. They are mostly female, but there are male masseurs too. I don't think any masseur would risk his job even for a good tip. Many of these cruise lines use foreign labor and this is big money for them. If they were cuaght they'd be bounced off the boat and lose their reference.

As for cruisy areas - these ships are VERY cameraed in public areas and they take a hard line with any public sexual activity. I would strong advise caution. Has it happened in a men's restroom stall.. sure. But if you were caught you're not just kicked outta the rest room you could be kicked off the boat. I've had a lot of fun with other passengers in the privacy of my own room.

The last time I was at Casa, their pool party was a sad state of affair.

They had obese go-gos working it.  Literally.  Like 40+ lbs overweight.  I didn't understand it.

Perhaps they're going full-in on the whole 'inclusion' thing.  We'll see how long it lasts.

I also read it went Co-ed and no more hanky-panky.  Last time I was there in January it was packed, so I don't know why they need to cram more people in. I'll pass - Too many better options.

I'll be in Puerto Vallarta for three weeks this Christmas.  Right now is still PV's slow/hot season, so not every bar/strip club/venue will be open.  Busy season starts week of Thanksgiving.

There's a new bar opened this year called STUDS.  It's a Bear/Leather bar.  It's in Zona Romantica, but it's not on the same block as most of the other gay bars.  If bears/leather is your scene, be sure to check it out.

For strip clubs, Club 69 is my favorite.  It's next door to Wet dreams, another gay strip club, but Club 69 is better.  There's also Anthropology gay strip club, it's one block north of Zona Romantica.  Pervert, a 4th gay strip club, probably won't be open until busy season.

If you're there on a Friday, book PV Delice Party Cruise.  It's about $140 US.  It's a day of snorkeling, lunch, clothing optional beach, and sexy games with the crew on a party boat.

As for the pool party at Casa Cupula, I'm sad to say it's gone co-ed on Saturdays and Sundays.  The new term is "inclusive", which means pay your $$$ but keep your clothes on and no hanky panky.  Time and money would be better spent on the beach near Blue Chairs.  Friday pool parties at Casa Cupula are still clothing optional men only, a decent alternative if you arrive too late to book a PV Delice Party Cruise.  For Sunday afternoons, Beers Burgers Boys at Hotel Mercurio is fun.

Amarilla Villas isn't offering men-only days yet, but they said they will bring that back during their busy winter season.

Check out Palm Cabaret and Incanto for English gay entertainment.  There are a few shows performing now, and more will arrive soon as the month progresses.

Sauna Spartacus is open again.  It's a multi-story bathhouse with open roof deck.  They offer massages.  For a cheap price, you get a sure thing.

Plus half of the massage parlors in Zona Romantica can offer happy ending.  On Grindr, pretty much everyone with Massage or massage icon on their profile title  is available for hire.  Expect about $1000-$1500 pesos for a massage or $3000 pesos for escort found via Grindr.  RentMen guys will charge $4000-$5000 pesos.

    Have fun!

I'm heading there for Thanksgiving. Thanks for the tips. I can't wait

The original poster in this thread is evidently not a forum member anymore. His question was, of course, very subjective and bordering on breaking the forum rules. Frankly, I don't think it's possible to find a "best" in this case (ten people ten opinions).

That's OK. The peanut gallery didn't really answer his question anyway.

Masseurs should take a close look at their client's body when naked to alleviate any concern.  This is not something that can be hidden.  I believe it's very important for the masseur to be vaxed since he gets a lot more exposure than me.

I agree that having both people vax'ed would be ideal. However this whole forum is testament that practitioners are not always honest. I'm [partially] vax'ed and I trust that. I trust some guy going under a false name, who only accepts cash, and I probably never see again much much less.

Second your solution turns every 24 year old masseurs into a virologist/dermatologist. This week alone I had a large mosquito bite, an ingrown hair, and a small circular scrape. You really want a masseur to evaluate what's what in a dimly lit room? Initial lesions are few and flat and can be in the mouth or anus where the masseur can't see. Putting the onus on the masseur to determine what's acne or other benign skin conditions vs MPX seems irresponsible and provides a false sense of security. Not to mention they are no where near qualified to do so.

  7. In NYC we can't get 2nd doses. They won't even hint when we can.

My question is how long to wait before getting another massage?  At 4 weeks after first dose I should be about 85% protected. If there was some clue when 2nd doses would be available I'd be happy to wait, but at this point there's no finish line in sight.

Fortunately between behavior modification and vaccines cases are dropping in NYC.

Does anyone know where Sebastian from TSMS went? He’s not working there anymore

    He's at 24 Chelsea Spa now.  Recently opened on 24th & 9th.

  9. I went recently and I can recommend. It's nice, clean, and new. One Ave from the subway stop. Called to schedule about an hour in advance and had no issues. Rooms were a nice size and there is a shower (I didn't use it). Prices are accurate as posted.

If you've been to Times Square [Mens] Spa then you'll be very familiar.  It's TSMS 2.0

Hey buddy... I did not try Pablo - I really was hoping for some intel before I took the plunge.  Good luck!  And by the way - check on the sewage situation in Ptown where you are staying.  The big storm the other day caused some significant damage.  I know for the next 48 hours a lot of residences and business are under severe restrictions for using showers, toilets etc.  Many businesses on Commercial Street if they are on the town sewage system are required to close - at least for the next 48 hours.

Thanks! We heard about it this morning. Our AirBnB is on a private system and not impacted. Should be cleared up by Saturday.

Pablo is a bit pricey but PTown is such a massage desert I may reach out. I was hoping for a bit of Intel too.  Being in NYC we get spoiled with choice.

I don't know if there are any studies on it, but I'd like to see them add the childhood smallpox vax to that chart.

I know that question has been asked a lot. I'm sure they will look into it, but just looking at NYC data we can see people 50+ are getting it.

    Reference link: https://www1.nyc.gov/site/doh/data/health-tools/monkeypox.page

I would also note that the smallpox vaccine given in the 60s/70s included a booster recommendation after 3 years if still in a high smallpox risk area.

  12. I got my first dose in NYC today. I asked about second dose and they said they people are starting to become eligible for second doses and that they are beginning to load second doses into the booking system, but it's not live yet. They said we'd be contacted. But even one dose provide solid protection after 28 days.

I'd like to wait til second dose before getting another massage, but it'll get harder to resist after 28 days.

I wish they would say how many people over 50 have gotten it. It would at least give some indication whether the thought has truth. I mean 30 something’s aren’t the only ones with multiple partners!

Here's a link to the data (updated weekly). All men and a few trans persons. Median age is 35 but goes up to 69.

Has anyone over 50 who had the smallpox vaccine gotten monkey pox? It’s not clear.

The CDC said the smallpox vaccine from 50 years ago may provide "some protection" but I doubt they really know.

The NY Health Dept response has been a comedy of errors.

To get back to the original topic I'm pausing massages til I get vaccinated as a precaution.
