I’d say “yes” but don’t forget, there is a not insignificant number of hobbyists who while they are, do not identify as “gay” because of unresolved internal homophobic issues. They want “a man” not “a gay”. A man who is “straight acting”, not a gay who lisps, and listens to Liza, Judy, and Barbra.

I don’t agree with any of it, I’m just acknowledging this mindset still exists in 2023, both in the world and in these forums 🤷🏼‍♂️

@LFABWC, IMHO you have to follow your gut. If it’s telling you something is wrong, listen to it.
You may have a great time, one of the best. But you also may not and it’s the “not” that’s irreversible. If you’re not 100% comfortable and looking forward to a meet, don’t do it. There’s plenty of others out there.

I have to disagree. In this hobby, both providers need to leave their jealousies at the door. If they can’t, they shouldn’t be offering 3somes, period. There are some provider couples that are absolutely fantastic at the 3some experience, while there are others where one of the couple can’t seem to separate the personal from the professional. Chances are the client will for all sorts of reasons prefer and concentrate more on one of you over the other, same way a professional provider will always concentrate more on the client vs his partner. If you can’t handle either scenario without pouting with a scowl, you shouldn’t be offering 3somes because you clearly can’t handle them. It’s not my job, or any other client’s job, to soothe wounded egos, make sure both providers feel equally sexy.

Ugh - the idea of a floating scale really gets my goat.  A discount for hotness is ultimately a surcharge to those not as hot.  When I lived in Victoria, BC, there was a Chinese restaurant that had two menus with two sets of pricing - the one written in Chinese had lower prices, but you only benefitted if you could read the menu and understand the price differences.  I was really hungry, so that might be why I am still ticked off about floating scales - hahaha.

Yes, you must learn to obey (and not ignore) your instincts.

I’ve played with numerous men in 3somes (and some 4gies) and had a lot of fun. My rule for personal safety has always been “First play with each man singly” before setting up a group date.

RM does not show rates or review text for US based users, thanks to the laws passed a few years ago.  You can use a VPN/proxy to see the site from a non-US server, but most escorts in the US don't enter a rate since their potential clients can't see it.

LOL I am not upset. I am scoffing at your faux morality on a site explicitly dedicated to the discussion of the oldest profession.  And no, this thread is not "about people who are in a vulnerable position being exploited." You made that up.  It's about non-providers being tempted to provide.

Why don't you go off and play church lady somewhere else? Or, to put it another way, what are you doing on a site dedicated to this particular line of commerce?

What a scold.  I wouldn't "choose" to show up at my job if it wasn't for financial pressure LOL. And I have news for you: even if we gays were all in church 7 days a week feeding soup to the homeless those "anti-gay forces" would still twist things to make us look bad.  Don't be so naive.
As long as a person is an adult and mentally competent, they are and should be free to enter into arrangements as they choose.  When I was young and first living in NY city, I regularly bounced the rent check for the cramped 1 bedroom apartment I shared with three roommates in a shitty neighborhood. My food budget kept me thin. At that point I could easily have rented myself out but chose not to.

The guys I have "exploited" all have better phones, fancier watches, more expensive colognes, and more active social lives than I do.   The ones I have chosen NOT to exploit: Those who appeared to be on something, or mentally-unwell, or too close to the age line.  I can live with myself just fine.

Forgive my naïveté…but is there a "search" function on Grindr?
I know I can filter results and change my location,
but that doesn’t really help me find "Cris in Hampton Bays".
I mean, yeah if he was just on I might get lucky, but so far

    needle in a haystack.

jayrae is on my list, but I spoke with him via an app or something (I can’t remember) and I know his rates are (to me) exceptionally high. I think he quoted me $500/hr. He’s still on my short list tho, but that’s mainly because there’s a dearth of good ones on Long Island.

You just made me think of another rule I forgot to mention 🙂 .
I think that pricing that ends with a $5 increment is obnoxious and I hold it against the provider. Realistically, $185 almost always turns into $200 because the chance of me having $5 is close to zero, and asking for change is just awkward. In fact, I see $185 and $265 as more dishonest than $195 and $275, so I'd be even less likely to book.
