I think "annoyed" is the wrong word. More like "concerned that I’m shopping at the wrong store". Although I have very little experience with OF, I’m all for it. It fills a niche for both parties and doesn’t hurt anyone. I think you’re missing the whole point. grin To answer the question…. I’ve stayed at Island House in Key West. I agree that the price point is driving out the younger/cuter crowd. They used to have give always in other cities where younger guys would get the "less desirable" rooms for free. It was basically stocking the pond, so to speak. I always thought it was a smart business decision. The ages used to run 20’s-50’s. Not sure if that’s still true though. I haven’t been since before the pandemic. The rooms are very nice and at night the scene is very sleazy (in a good way). I’ve also stayed La Hacienda in Palm Springs. Not nearly as sexy as Island House. The rooms are huge and very nice, but a bit "sterile" for my taste. Beautiful but boring. There were several very attractive men in their 40’s-60’s staying there though. So it might be right up your alley. I’ve only seen the pool area and breakfast at INNdulge. It looked nice, clean, and fun. For the record, none of you whores (and I don’t mean just the professional ones) invited me to see your rooms…..grin.

I’m sure everyone here knows this, but just in case…. This is an incredibly bad idea. I also agree that, given his muscular "after" photo, that he more than likely was eating some protein during his "fast". While it is a photo of a man who has eaten very little for 40 days, it’s not the photo of a man who has eaten zero protein for 40 days. If you attempt a fast for more than 3-7 days, I’d suggest doing it with close medical supervision, with the pre-agreement that you break it if they tell you too, no matter what. At the 2-3 week mark you are in serious danger of fucking up your body. It’s one thing for a very muscular (although overweight) professional athlete to fast for 40 days, and another for the average obese American to attempt the same.

Although I’ve never been to Doha, I have travelled to Turkey, Egypt, and Morocco many times and stayed in rooms with another man in all three. At every hotel we had only a single king bed. No one cared. They will assume you are two married men who are traveling without your wives and staying in one room to conserve money (which is not uncommon in Arab countries), or two gay foreigners (which they couldn’t care less about). Although, I would strongly advise against public displays of affection (which can be surprisingly hard to suppress when you’re used to holding hands a lot), in general they don’t give a fuck about gay foreigners as long as you keep it to yourself. Staying in small family hotels, private homes or AirBnB situations is a whole different kettle of fish and that I would avoid all together unless you had inside information that they were "ok with the gay". Arab countries can be surprisingly tolerant as long as you keep your hands off the local men/boys and don’t act like screaming queens in public.
