I am not suggesting that.  I am well aware it was not universally accepted back then.  Saying all the boys/girl were 13 is a red herring.  The age ranged between the teens all the up to early 30s.  This is well documented.  We get too stuck on our moral high chairs these days and want everything to be simple black and white. 
Indenture servitude, harems and other cultural practices that are frowned upon by most of the world doesn't remove its existence and acceptance in those countries and societies where it is acceptable behavior.  The American moral compass is not the be all and end all.  The world isn't that simplistic.

While not answering your question about slings, I am a tall guy myself and have found a practical solution.  When I replaced my bed and mattress at home, I got rid of the bedframe.  My mattress now sits directly on the "box springs" which sits directly on the floor.  I find this height perfect for doggie style (my current favorite position).

But as others have noted, each person has his priorities.  While I do fly only First or Business Class, I choose to drive a used 15-year old car and often stay in the cheapest room in a nice hotel or cheapest cabin on a cruise ship.  I buy the cheapest mobile phone with a long battery life and use it for years before replacing it.  I don't pay for computers or internet to use at home, going to my local public library instead.  I prioritize live theater if I can get good seats, but skip motion pictures and music concerts as they are not my priority choice of entertainment.  Living in Las Vegas, cost of living for home ownership, utilities, taxes, and restaurants is affordable away from the tourist areas.  I rarely cook, so I avoid the high prices and food waste of buying fresh groceries for one and eat most meals in restaurants.  I never use overpriced food delivery.  I limit my vacations to no more than 1 per month, about 1/3 of which are international trips.  My one go-to spot is Ft Lauderdale every winter.
On average, I hire several times per month. I also have a ceiling for an hourly rate, which is $300 for escort and $180 for massage in the US.  Internationally, my cieling is lower.  If a guy charges more than that, I don't hire him.
But I'm also fortunate to have benefited from the economic boom of the past 2 years. The roughest time was the high inflation of 2021-2023, but I was able to avoid some of that by owning my own house instead of renting.

There's a phenomenon where people who've done a good job saving and building a robust portfolio underspend significantly during their retirements, ending up dying with more money than they had at retirement.  This can lead to regret over what they didn't do when they could.  Things like travel, helping family members...or (in my case) indulging hobbies and treating yourself to various fun experiences (detailed elsewhere on here).  You can find dozens of YouTube videos about the challenges of switching from "saving" mentality to "spending" mentality after retirement.  I've been retired for two years (and three days🤩) and I think I'm getting there.  To paraphrase one such presenter, I don't want to be the richest guy in the cemetery!

You're being overly simplistic.  In ancient Greek times, it was common in society for relationship to exist between a older person and a younger person of either gender.  It was not uncommon for a man to take a wife in her teens.  These were often arranged for political, status or financial reasons.  Yes, the motivations for such things has not changed in thousands of years.  The relationship arrangement involved a contract which entailed the older person to provide gifts of high worth to the younger person.  They also became a ward to the person much like they would be to their blood child.  Judging ancient behavior by our current moral compass is fool-hardy.  I would suggest we focus on the better elements of familial bonds and how it provided a safer passage for the youth to enter military service than the sensationalism of the age gap.   

This is the wording of the law:
