  1. I would happily invest in the LAND of Argentina. But sadly, like all socialist economies, the people's ideals make the country a poor investment.
  2. In the U.S., I tip with $2 U.S. bills. (The ones with Thomas Jefferson on them). In Mexico, I tip in pesos.
  3. I respectfully disagree. When in Puerto Vallarta I pay in pesos. The boys are happy to be tipped 20 pesos (little more than 1 U.S. dollar) and 10 minute private dances start at 500 pesos (little more than 25 U.S. dollars). I can get escorts to my room for 1000-2000 pesos (50 to 100 U.S. dollars). I have been going every year for 6 years, and have regulars who welcome me with open arms when I walk into 69. Sure, I can pay more and get more, but I'm happy with the level of service these men provide for the prices they ask.
  4. Yet another reason to celebrate the 12 Days of Christmas, beginning on December 25. There's time to buy items on sale for the remaining 11 nights of Christmas.
  5. I put up my decorations at the start of December, and take them down 12 days after December 25 (January 6). As a child we took them down on New Year's Day, but as an adult I enjoy celebrating the full 12 days of Christmas.
  6. To avoid seasickness, avoid taking any boat into the ocean and instead travel by ship. Ships are bigger and more stable in choppy waters than boats. Ocean liners (which the Queen Mary 2 is) are even better than cruise ships for crossing the Atlantic. Their sleek design and front help to cut through the waves at faster speeds. Regardless if you take a cruise ship or an ocean liner, book a cabin mid ship and on a low deck. These rooms are closest to the center of mass of the ship and will rotate less during choppy weather. As for medication, Dramamine works but also makes one sleepy. Medications need to be taken BEFORE sea sickness occurs. On my first few cruises, I took Dramamine as soon as we left the dock on the first day, and took each day thereafter for the first few days of the cruise. I slept a lot those first few days. I now no longer use the pills, but have them in my suitcase just in case. But I still avoid boats including yachts, catamarans, and the ship tenders because I know their motion is unpleasant for me.
  7. Your Christmas decorations look great! Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays 🎄
  8. He has switched from "Safe Only" to "Ask Me"!
  9. Thank you. Anyone who would trade liberty for security deserves neither and will get neither. Wherever I move next will be a place that makes me happy. It will be within my price range and I will pay cash. I'm not going to quibble about a few more thousand dollars per year in insurance or real estate taxes, as long I am happy where I live. Right now, that place looks to be like Ft Lauderdale.
  10. For me it's relative to how I like the post/Pic Like = I liked the guy in the Pic...my type or just plain nice Love = a step above like I LOVE the Pic/guy(s) in the poster Party hat = I use almost exclusively for pics with more than one person...let's all get together and play! I thought it was universally understood: Like = He looks pleasant. Love = I am ready for a monogamous committed relationship with the man in the photograph. Applause = He looks like an upstanding citizen who spends time giving back to the community by volunteering for charity. Party = Let's meet, adorn party hats, get drunk, play pin the tail on the donkey, snort some powder, and have a gang bang wearing handcuffs and puppy masks.
  11. If it's summer, a tight fitting pair of jean shorts and a tank top does wonders clinging to an escort when they arrive at my door. Yum!
  12. Sensual may mean that extra senses are involved, such as the use of aromatherapy and music during the massage. Erotic may mean that someone might get aroused. Honestly... Don't put too much weight into the type of massage offered. I've had penetrative sex during a massage with "Therapeutic only" providers. On the other hand, I've had "Erotic" massages without any touching of the genitals and the masseur remained clothed. I still kept going back to that "Erotic" masseur because he gave a damn good therapeutic massage and his rate was reasonable. When I asked him outright for an "Erotic" massage during a repeat visit, he replied that it was Erotic because I was naked and he worked my glutes and thighs. So, yeah, I don't really pay attention to those categories. If I'm looking for guaranteed sex, I just hire an escort.
  13. I am watching the Ft Lauderdale home prices; albeit not closely, but watching. I hope to move to Florida in about 5 years. It's cheaper for me to stay in Nevada, but for political reasons Florida suits my style more. I won't say why lest I violate the no politics rule.
  14. I like the taste of Papa John's pizza🍕, but I loathe that they require payment via credit card 💳 in advance for delivery. Sorry, I don't pay in advance for delivery. So I order from Domino's or Pizza Hut instead. Their pizza 🍕 might not be as good, but their business model allows me to pay cash 💰 at the door so I hire them.
  15. The last time I saw these loans gain popularity was in 2005. And we all know what happened to the housing market and economy 3-4 years later when everyone's rate jumped higher all at once.
  16. I once had a masseur come out of his apartment and show me where to park my car during the hot summer in Las Vegas. He was shirtless. Wow! That got me going for the massage! And then it was a natural progression for him to start the massage shirtless, since he wasn't going to come inside and put a shirt on just to massage me. I've had a masseur in Palm Springs come out of his private swimming pool to unlock the gate and welcome me dripping wet in his speedo. That was fun!
  17. Thanks for sharing. I was unaware it had reopened. I may check it out. Although I did not see pictures or mention of go-go boys. They mention drag, burlesque, and acrobats, but no go-go. We shall see!
  18. Here's an up to date topic on Las Vegas strip clubs: https://www.companyofmen.org/topic/136143-vegas/?do=findComment&comment=2219026
  19. When I was in Europe a few months ago I encountered self-service check-out stands at some grocery stores in Austria, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. I always went to the cashier for service. One time, I did notice on my receipt that I had been charged some nominal fee (around 0.35 Euros). I was in a hurry to catch a train so I didn't have time to ask about it, and the receipt wasn't in English so I can't be certain what it was for; but, I believe it was a fee for using the human cashier.
  20. @stevenkesslar I don't disagree with you. Just wanted to point out that a lot of people don't own homes and don't own stocks, so they are going to feel different about this inflation cycle than the typical client on this site who already has a nest egg. Being a millennial and in the middle to younger end of the working age, my view is skewed towards the average working person. The age group that benefited the most wealth growth in the last 10 years were people over 60. And because of the aging Baby Boomers, there are more and more people over 60 compared to the number of people working. So the data will continue to show average people getting wealthier, but what it's really saying is the average person is getting older. Ask a 30 year old who is trying to move out of his parents house how they are doing, and it will be a different story.
  21. This is the viewpoint of someone who is benefiting from the increase in wealth inequality. (Nothing wrong with that, I'm in the same boat). Like my Wall Street Journal reference above, it is only the rich/old who have assets such as a home and stocks that have been enjoying the last three years. Meanwhile, working class and young adults with no assets have an uphill climb to even enter the housing or stock market as more of their income is going towards rent, vehicles, and groceries than before.
  22. This is yet another reason why any voter or political party that endorses equitable access to services should support laws that require merchants to accept cash payments. Sex industry, adult performers, and others on the "fringes of society" lack the same access to businesses that don't accept cash.
  23. Yes, I too have a side gig with payment by cash. Pre-2020 I would deposit that cash into the bank and then pay everything by credit card. Since 2020, I have stopped using credit cards and pay for almost everything by cash. My side gig money does not get deposited... It gets spent by me without ever seeing the bank. I find that I am now more intent with my spending and therefore have more money left in my bank account at the end of each month, as there are little to no credit card bills anymore. The "free" rewards I used to receive from credit card I can now afford to buy with cash, since I'm spending so much less because I'm more mindful of my spending. Plus the "pay by cash" discounts that are popping up at more and more restaurants as merchants push back on excessive reward credit card fees. In summary, switching from credit cards and checks back to cash has simplified my life, made me more mindful on purchases and budgeting, and has made me a richer man.
  24. When there is no bag boy, I never start to bag my own groceries until the cashier is finished and I have paid. I do this to keep my eye on the prices until transaction is finished. Then, I will bag my items as the next person begins their check-out. It really takes no time to bag at all. I use paper bags only, and usually can fit everything into 3 paper bags instead of the 10 plastic bags that others use for a similar haul. When emptying my cart for the cashier, I arrange my items in the order I want them to be bagged, grouping together refrigerated items, non-refrigerated items, and non -food items. Typically these fit into one or two paper bags each. It's a habit passed to me by my father, who used to work in a grocery store in the 1940s/1950s.
