  1. Based on this thread in this forum, I asked my Doctor about the Meningitis vaccine and he recommended it. I received my first dose today. Thank you, everybody.
  2. I have Just Walked Out and left cash at the counter before when I had already consumed a meal and the restaurant told me afterwards that they are cashless, and I had no cards. It worked out.
  3. They're not "free". Someone has to pay for them. Usually the merchants. Since I avoid big box retailers like Walmart and Amazon, that means small mom and pop merchants are paying for it through transaction fees (They pay over 5% transaction fee, just so the customer gets 2% back and the bank gets the rest. That's not healthy for a neighborhood grocery store with a slim profit margin). And, since I stopped using credit cards in 2020, my spending has significantly declined. It turns out the statistics are true and I am more thoughtful of my spending when I pay with cash, leaving me with more cash to pay for flights, hotels, and escorts than those "free" points ever gave me.
  4. It's so much easier to pay with cash. No worries about paying bills at the end of the month, it checking to see how much is left in a bank account. When my wallet is empty, then I'm done spending until next payday. I guess it's people's preference for what they think is easier. My life is easier with cash and no cards or online accounts. Your life is easier with everything digital and no cash.
  5. How does this work with cash payments?
  6. My experience with an advertisement in the middle of a session is different, because I wasn't hiring a man from China. My man was from Russia.
  7. Not only do I loathe self check out and don't do it, I don't even do self check in at the airport. I always wait in line and speak to the ticket agent and check my bags. I don't fly with the few airlines that don't have ticket agents at the airport.
  8. According to the US Census, the rate of US Citizens moving from one address to another has been steadily decreasing since the 1960s, with the sharpest rate of decline since 2015. (This could be movement across state lines, or across the same city. But I have seen a similar graph somewhere that only listed moves greater than 10 miles, and it showed the same trend) While this data looks at the entire population and not just the GLBT, it's interesting to show because I think it proves most people's conceptions wrong. If only there was enough similar data collected and separated by GLBT status.
  9. Yes! And folks who have lived in generational working class and middle class in West Coast and Northeast cities (gay or straight) are making use of their citizenship to go to move thriving areas such as the South and the Bible Belt to see if they can have a better quality of life as well.
  10. That's how the gay bars are in my town as well.
  11. In southern California in the 1990s, I never had a Snow Day but I had several Rain Days where school was cancelled because of too much rain. My school also implemented "Shorts Days" when it became very warm, so we could wear short pants to school instead of long pants which were required by school dress code on all other days. Where I work now in Las Vegas, during the summer months we do not have to wear suit jackets and we can forgo neckties until it cools down into the 90s F.
  12. Maybe that's why I find myself mostly watching "vintage" pornography? I find those men very attractive
  13. I wouldn't expect otherwise at a strip club. Cash is King for tipping dancers
  14. Lest we not forget, these averages include two and three bedroom apartments which the typical young escort does not need to rent. So, original commentary's price range is probably closer to what an escort would pay for a one bedroom. An escort's rent would be even less if the escort shares rent for a two bedroom with a roommate.
  15. I have never used a self checkout, unless you count a vending machine. The few times I went to store where everything was self service, I just called for assistance at the kiosk and let the employee use the kiosk to check me out. Once, the employee would not help, so I left my groceries at the kiosk and left the store, similar to the reaction of @wsc.
  16. I've brought numerous local gay escorts and masseurs into my hotels in Puerto Vallarta, including Casa Cupula and Hotel Mercurio and several timeshares. My timeshares check ID and write down their name. Hotel Mercurio keeps the ID at the front desk until I call/go down to them to let them know it's okay for my guest to leave. At Hotel Mercurio, most of the guys I brought back were known to the hotel front desk staff and they all exchanged pleasantries when the escort showed up.
  17. I remember working as a server for a banquet and being instructed to plate the salad by hand, with no gloves, after washing our hands and in the kitchen out of sight of the guests. So, yes, I've seen it happen, but I would not like to see my host performing said task in front of me. I have one friend in particular who uses his hands while cooking instead of using utensils, and he doesn't wash his hands often enough in my opinion. Whenever we get together for meals, I always suggest we go out to eat.
  18. I have yet to use either. I try not to use the voice responses on the telephone either. I find it easier to press 1 or 2 for yes or no, and 0 for operator. Now that most people have started using email and websites, I find the wait for customer service over the telephone has improved over the last few years.
  19. Oh yeah, that protects your privacy! 😂🤣 sarcasm intended. I look it up in the encyclopedia. I wear gloves so no one can track my fingerprints to the pages I was turning.
  20. I have been on 20 cruises. Some I booked two years in advance (gay river cruise) and others I booked three months in advance (14 night Caribbean cruise). But I try to aim for 11 months in advance to book.
  21. Back in 2003, I was compelled to leave the state of California to Nevada. In about four years, I will leave the state of Nevada and am considering Florida or Tennessee. As a Gay man, then somewhat libertarian Nevada at the turn of the century suited me and my job prospects well. Now there are more and more regulations and taxes in Nevada, so I'm looking to move to Florida or Tennessee. I currently enjoy spending my holidays in both of those sates.
  22. True. The two biggest factors to earning/keeping wealth are: 1. Not getting divorced. 2. Not having children. Both 1 and 2 were not easily available to gay men for a long time.
  23. Ultimately attractiveness is in the client's eyes. But here is a setup that would catch my eye when I am trying to search through hundreds of providers in a popular city. PHOTOS: I'd say around 4 to 10 ideally. Make each picture count. Suggested breakdown: 1 Face (even blurred out of you're concerned about identity, to get a general idea of hair/complexio 1 Full Body, can be clothed, to show body size 1 Underwear or swim briefs to show off the body 1 Nude, with penis and buttocks (either 2 separate photos, or 1 combined view from the side) TEXT OF AD: At least 3 sentences. No more than 2 paragraphs. Ideally a price would be listed. But given the legality of it, a link to a provider website or mentioning longer sessions, overnights, etc. would catch my eye. CATEGORIES: A straight forward answer is better than "Ask Me" for things like Orientation, Position, etc.. I look for Anything Goes or at least Ask Me for safer sex. I don't pay attention to vaccine status.
  24. I want to know that bareback is an option, prefer no tattoos or signs of steroids (acne back) and would like to see 3-10 pictures. There needs to be at least one full body naked picture, but I understand the need to not show face pictures in today's technological environment.
  25. So, it is acceptable to wait less for someone not that hot? That logic sounds discriminatory to me
