Since the OP isn’t around others, I personally see nothing wrong with his hygiene options.

For me, I love showers and baths. At least twice a day, I’m showering.

    1.) Shower in the morning
2.) Shower after the gym-or right before bed.
3.) and an extra shower if there’s an extra event in my life (if I’m going out to dinner or on a date or something socially. I’m scrubbing up before that too)
I have no skin conditions, dryness, or allergic reactions either.
I rarely get sick, and never catch infections or rashes that stem from being around others.
The modern narrative that cleanliness is bad for your skin, is “unhealthy”, and “bad” for you, needs to cease. There’s nothing wrong with being clean and fresh, and no one should be shamed for that either.

I appreciate the sentiment and applaud the effort.
But there are some perspectives that might be helpful to provde some context from someone who lives in LA and was in an evacuating warning area.
For anyone who would like some information regarding some Fire related facts in California at the large macro level. Like discussion of budgets, water reserve systems etc.. you can PM if you like and I can provide a link.
Regarding some context specifically to things that happened in Palisades and Eaton Fires specifically there's been ad hoc comments about a range of things and certain elements wanting to take tid bits of information and trying to oversensationalize for specific unrelated cynical purposes.
There's way too many examples to discuss but I'll mention a couple.
    1) "Fire Hydrants" had low and little water pressure and/or were dry in some areas. Yes some firefighters commented about that in local news. That was used as outrage. Not saying that it isn't a problem but the initial assertion was that the LA system screwed up.
Fyi, Wildland firefighters don't use Hydrants they use water tenders. The fire hydrants in city infrastructure isn't built to fight fires that large, but yes of course hydrant's water supply is obviously absolutely critical.
But was inconveniently not emphasized (in some quarters) was in that particular situation much of the reason hydrants of the few in question were low for firefighters was from an unusual surge of residents initially trying to hose down properties, at the same time Commercial buildings with smoke detectors their internal systems automatically kicked-in to drench building interiors, coupled with a large swell from residents as they appropriately evacuated, but also turned on gardening sprinkler systems full blast. All totally understandable!
Not assigning blame at all but that contributed to some local fire hydrants "being low pressure" when firefighters were battling.
Just pointing out that many took the low pressure in isolated areas as something representative of grossly negligent all over versus potentially understanding a confluence of other complexities. (And yes personally I have many many friends who lost homes in these and other areas.)
    2) I'll also add another example related to the assertion that the City was ill equipped and incompetent by not immediately putting up Airborne helicopter assistance with water drops.
I'll just add for perspective that Firefighters from neighboring areas privately tell people that besides the fact that it was absolutely too dangerous to fly those helicopters in 60mph - 90mph Hurricane gust like winds. (Personal side note, i had significant wind damage to property).
In their professonal opinion not only was it absolutely too dangerous, it wouldn't have been in any way effective regardless that first night.
    They gave this example;
    a) Imagine trying to direct your piss onto a specific object on the ground.
    b) Now add that your pissing out of a window more than two stories up.
    c) Now add that the window you're pissing out of is moving in 3 dimensions upwards, downwards, laterally and diagonally.
    d) Now add this is all being done in ~80mph winds.
Have you ever spat outside your window when driving fast down the freeway? Did it hit the ground intact?
It would have been as they said "pissing in the wind".
Now yes let's focus on recovery.

And how would you do that?
Rainwater harvesting is impossible without rain.
Harvesting water from the air is impossible when the humidity is virtually nonexistent?
I realize that you're probably looking to place blame on someone or something. Maybe you can start by blaming human civilization for global warming and climate change.

I’ve reached out twice and both times he kind of gave me the run around. I text him basically with a “hi I’m so and so, saw your ad on rentmasseur and would like to book you for 90 min. Are you free Monday at 10am?”

Any other masseur it’s either a yes or no and then they give me some other options. But this guy, first time he responds back by mentioning he’s been so booked lately ? ok good for you, so when are you free?!

Second time, he asks what city I’m in? I wasn’t looking for an outcall, but I let him know I’d be coming from highland park, he eventually got back to me much later, but I had already moved on to another provider.

Maybe both times I just caught him at a bad time ??‍♂️

should mention the first time I reached out was way before the pandemic and second time has been more recent like two weeks ago

I hate the providers whose say "Ask". I'm much more inclined to book someone who publishes their rates and clearly outlines what's included. I saw a masseur here a while back who charged a flat rate for 60 minutes and one for 90 minutes, regardless of modality or "extras." And I seem to recall the prices were pretty reasonable.

If they want to offer a menu of pricing that's fine.  But a client should at least be able to know where the range starts.  There is a significant difference between a 150 starting price and a 300 starting price.

The problem with the rate hikes is this:
A large crop of masseurs really aren’t masseurs at all.
They are hustlers who actually should be escorting, but have found  the easiest “money grab”, without the actual work of escorting…. here’s their method:
    1.) hot, salacious pics
    2.) exorbitant pricing
3.) provide mediocre massage without any massage tools (no table, no proper massage oil, and no skills) or having to provide any other service, because only massage it’s “what’s advertised.”
on sites such as RM, they are usually good looking, nice bodies, and look like instagram models, and are usually self-described as “Mediterranean” or “Latin”.
They rope suckers in by the hot pics and the “idea” and “innuendo” of what’s to happen, all for the customer to end up snookered, with an empty wallet, and a pair of blue balls.

    Agreed!
Not only PNP but, also for me, smoking is a red flag. I can't stand the smell or taste of tobacco so cross-referencing a rentmasseur ad with a provider's rentmen ad helps me eliminate the tobacco smokers.
I don't understand how a guy can put a "no" for smoking and then in his "intos" list smoking. When I questioned one guy about it, he said that he never would smoke tobacco but was 420-friendly.

I also like it when I find someone on both rent sites, as it gives me a hint as to what might happen. If his escort profile says vers or bottom, bonus! The fetishes he indicates are sometimes helpful, too.  Also, if he indicates PnP, then that’s a red flag, and I avoid even a massage from the guy.
