Interesting indeed. A companion i have been seeing for 2 years, fairly regularly called me over the weekend and told me he wanted to become my live in boyfriend. He wants to quit his job, sell his house and move in with me. I was dumb struck, first because he called me (we usually text!) and secondly because he thinks I have that kind of money that can support his fairly splashy lifestyle! My only hope is to win the Mega Millions this weekend. To be clear: if I had the money I'd jump at the chance!

I think a different rate sounds appropriate and clearly would make you more comfortable @figureskater. A corporate consultant may make $50 per hour behind his desk during the week, but makes $15 per hour when he drives an Uber over the weekend. It is not unusual for time to be valued differently by Mr Market. If driving that Uber means the consultant misses out on a consulting gig, that would be a different consideration.

I would be fascinated to hear how you know the families were mislead. Please provide source or are is that just your assumption? Funny how many of those "fair minded people" allowed him to cloak his hate in religious beliefs for so many years. The families he broke apart, the lives he destroyed... I guess our definition of "fair" may differ quite a bit.

Two come to mind: 1) The best little boy in the world by Andrew Tobias is probably the most recommended book I have seen. 2) Straight Jacket by Matthew Todd. These books are mainly aimed at gay men, but it should give you a start.
