thedanNYC reacted to Danny-Darko in What are the more gay-friendly nicest areas of San Francisco?
San Francisco is pretty gay-friendly all over. All depends on what your income bracket is and what you can afford there. SF is a condensed tightly packed city that sits on a peninsula, so not so nice areas are in close proximity of those nicer ones. The Castro is nice but not as gay as it used to be years ago. May people were forced to leave the city because of the cost of rent/real-estate, lack of work and rumor has it many went to Portland, OR. Many lesbians have moved to smaller communities in Florida and made up their own communities there. I would suggest doing a scouting trip or two before you decide to move there. It's not the place it used to be. ?

Yes, well, this is not the first time I get a purely therapeutic massage from a man but it's the first time one intentionally brushes his semi-hard c*ck against me so this was all new to me. This is definitely a lesson learned. I won't be doing anything from now on, just be myself and enjoy the next two sessions. He already lost me and my tips with his queen attitude. I suppose he doesn't mind but I no longer care either. I'm too old to keep playing mind games. In my experience, a real straight man confident of his sexuality, either heterosexual or heteroflexible, gets flattered, actually flirts a little bit, even more, if you are alone with him and no one is watching. He'll let you know if he allows you to play with him with or without limits, and if not he will ask about your wife/gf or talk about his, in order to dissuade you from making any additional advances and move the conversation to other topics, but never making any drama out of it, always keeping it professional. Those who react with drama or aggression, are other gay men or the homophobic ones, who are just unresolved closeted cases. This guy can go find someone else to play his tricks.

I think you had the right instinct. This is exactly what I would have done too. When scheduling the second (or at this point what would have been your third session), I would've said something along the lines of "the massage has really been helping me, and those 30 minutes fly so quickly! So I think I want to extend to 60 minutes and get a full body massage while I'm here. Do you think that would be helpful and have availability for that?" That would have given you a legit excuse to be naked during the next appointment and him a chance to steer you towards keeping the shorter session if he'd already started to feel uncomfortable with anything that had happened up to that point.

This shows that any advice encouraging you to push things with a licensed therapist was bad advice. It commonly is. When this happens, you're better off simply enjoying the great therapeutic massage and the "will he/won't he" dynamic when it comes to any hanky-panky.

I think I've said this before here somewhere. I've gotten lucky with a few legit certified therapists over the years (including one working at a chiropractic office). What worked for me was the opposite of the advice you got. For example, if the guy grazed my balls I did not react at all. If the guy pressed a boner on my arm, I did not react at all.

That seems to communicate willingness better than reacting (either when the teasing happens or by changing your behavior during the next session). And I think that's because (a) an unwilling/straight guy would likely react to that by adjusting his position, (b) an unwilling/straight guy would likely feel uncomfortable and consequently wouldn't rebook, and © it suggests I'm not a creep who'll lunge for his dick if he decides to push the envelope a bit more. In my experience, a certified therapist will knock on your door, if you will, not to see if you'll bust it wide open... but instead to decide for himself, based on your reaction, whether he wants to risk checking if it's unlocked and try to slowly open it himself.

Of course, it's possible that one happens to book with a therapist who is legit waiting for the client to grab the therapist's wiener (or send an obvious signal that falls short of that). But the risk with assuming that is that the therapist might end up being offended if you got it wrong. And an offended therapist might blacklist you from his practice, report you to the doctor who gave you the prescription, or even overreact and call the police on you.

I did however have a regular I saw every week for a year or so thru discussions during our meet ups talk about loosing his regular job and how tight money was. He was very selective on who he saw so didnt see many people at all. He NEVER asked me for any advances for money ever but knowing his situation I offered to see him twice a week to help him out. More than able to help him. It was my call... my decision. He eagerly said yes. My father taught me to work for my money, so I did the same with this escort. A win/win for both of us.

After hiring for many years I’ve learnt that as soon as a hire requests a loan, or shares a tale of woe, or offers a discount next time, etc. then it’s time to move on. When I was younger, less jaded and more generous, I used to think why not, I’ll take the risk. And nearly every time I got burned. Just the other day a regular messaged me from his holiday in Greece, saying he’d lost his wallet and I would I loan him 200, which he’d take off our next meet. Such a pity as I thought he was one of the good ones. It sounds harsh but what I’ve learned to tell them when these requests come through is I’m not you father, your therapist or your ATM.

Warts are skin to skin transmitted. You'd be protected from getting internal warts, but skin around the dick is likely coming into contact with the skin of your ass, and you cpuld grt them on the outside. So get the shot if you haven't.

thedanNYC reacted to + Charlie in Any of you have any experience with home flippers?
Flippers are looking for houses that are not worth anywhere near as much in their current condition as they would be with some renovation, and I suspect that your house is not like that. They are usually looking for unoccupied houses in decent neighborhoods that the owners want to get rid of quickly. In our last house in Palm Springs, our nextdoor neighbor had turned his house into a "safe house" for recovering gay alcoholics in an AA program that he ran, and he moved into another house he owned in the neighborhood. When he died, the heirs wanted to get the house cleared out and sold as quickly as possible, so they sold it to a flipper for much less than the Zillow estimate, which is based primarily on what other houses in the neighborhood have sold for, regardless of its condition. The flipper did a major clean-up and cosmetic renovation, and sold it for more than the Zillow estimate.

The stomach bug is an excuse i‘ve heard many times, and also that they are taking ’cough medicine“, or had “recent dental work” or something like that for poor performance. If they know they have a condition that may impair their ability to satisfy your requests/ fantasies that you clearly communicated in advance, they should cancel or at least give you the option to postpone your appointment until they ”feel better“. I‘m sorry you had a poor experience. Perhaps give him another chance? Money lost on poor escort performances is chalked up to “tuition fees” for this hobby.

Let's not hide behind the legal convenience that we're paying for 'time spent' as if it hasn't been detailed in the RM profile and further clarified by messaging/voice, etc. If the agreement is an active top, be prepared to perform or take an enhancer. If you agreed to kiss, then do it. Date your photos, and so on.

In my experience when the performance wasn't what was agreed to, 'the professional' inevitably points to the time-spent clause as their reason for expecting to be paid in full. The OP didn't mention if payment was required prior to time-spent. If so, there is no negotiation. If you haven't, it would be foolish not to evaluate the potential actions of the unpaid provider. I can afford my choices, so I pay them.

Give them a negative review? Where? The providers are advertising text-only, preventing RM from being able to verify there was communication and therefore no review. I spent time with a beloved and well reviewed provider a couple of times before setting up an appointment at my home. I carefully worded the 'problem' that ensued at my house on this site. Not long afterwards, my post disappeared. The provider looked me up and sent a goon to my office. They didn't anticipate our security protocols.

This hobby has produced some amazing experiences over the years. Things, however, are changing... the experiences are 50/50 and the scales of satisfaction are tipped toward the provider.

Hard pass on principle. But also, what if he allows you the coveted "privilege" of paying him for a rubdown based on your photos, but then doesn't actually like the whole of what he sees when he has you on his table? No bueno.
