Your original question was not simply whether masseurs should disclose their STD status.

Your question was whether masseurs should feel obligated to share sensitive health information with a random guy texting about getting a massage, even though the masseur does not yet know if the massage will involve sexual activity, just because said random guy wants to allegedly rely on that information to decide whether to book a session given that he is afraid of catching an STD if there is sexual activity. We did answer this question...and I'll copy/paste a line from @CuriousByNature's response that summarizes the gist of what others have said: "Asking someone is no guarantee that they actually know their status or will tell the truth about it, so it's important not to be lulled into a false sense of security." So, you can ask. You may or may not get an answer. The masseur is free to choose which way to go based on how he expects the session to go. After all, you're risking catching herpes if you engage in sexual activity...but not if the massage is strictly therapeutic.

Circling back to the question you didn't ask originally, I think that most non-sociopathic posters would agree that one shouldn't engage in sexual activity if one knows that there is a risk of passing an STD along to others (at least not without disclosing that risk). But everyone would also agree that the world isn't perfect and even well-intentioned people might assess risk incorrectly or even be unaware that they have STDs. So, all roads lead back to you needing to be prepared to assume the risks that come with sexual activity

    Hope that helps.

Your question suggests that you're hiring masseurs from certain websites, and seeing them under circumstances, that imply that sexual activity might happen/is welcome during the massage. So I would either accept the risks that come with that sexual activity, eliminate those risks by changing my hiring practices, or greatly reduce those risks by being upfront with masseurs concerning what sexual activity I'm okay with (e.g., hands only).

I wouldn't bother trying to address STD risks by asking masseurs about their status (or rely on their answers) because some masseurs are going to be dishonest and some are going to be mistaken.

I've watched some of those videos where a guy is "innocently" jerking off in his hotel room when room service comes. I found them interesting from a voyeuristic perspective (wondering how the waiter reacts) but mostly creepy. However, I recently had two unexpected experiences with *willing* staff at two different hotels!

    Room Service

I ordered room service, and heard a knock on my door right after I got out of the shower. I looked through the peephole and saw that a guy was making the delivery, so I figured it'd be okay to open the door in my towel. The guy was very friendly, and I thought I noticed him checking me out a few times during our brief chat. But I didn't make any moves because I didn't want to offend him/get into trouble if I was misinterpreting the situation. But when I signed the check, he asked whether I would like for him to pick up the cart in about an hour. I'm thinking "Hmm, they typically say nothing at all about that or to call room service at any time/leave the cart in the hallway, right? Interesting." So I said that'd be great. He opened the door to leave but exited somewhat slowly...all the while looking at me...so I knew it was on.

I spent the next hour eating and wondering was I was hallucinating his interest? Should just leave the cart in the hallway just in case I'm wrong? If I keep the cart, do I open the door again with only my towel on or should I get dressed? In the end, I figured...if he's going to be bold then so am I. So when he came back as promised, I opened the door naked. He came in, turned on the "do not disturb" sign (it was turn-down service time) and got naked. We jerked each other off, and he left.

During the typical brief "how are you this afternoon, sir?" conversation we had when he first came into my room, I mentioned that I thought I might be getting a cold. And wouldn't you know...after milking me dry, he came back with a bowl of oranges so I could get some vitamin C. Bonus!

    The Club Room

I have top-tier status with SPG, so I get club room access when staying at some hotels. You know, that special room where they serve free breakfast, lunch and dinner to fancy people (read: moochers)? Well, as soon as I walked into this club room (different hotel from above), I saw this cute attendant. He immediately came over to say hello and ask my room number (that's his job). But then, like the room service guy, he lingered and made small talk as I went through the buffet line. Then he came over to my table and kept chatting me up and making eyes at me while I ate (this is not his job). When I asked him where the bathroom was, he said he would show me... He actually walked in with me and said he had to use it quickly too. And surprise, surprise, we ended up jerking each other off at the urinals...right there out in the open (definitely not his job, but I wasn't mad)! It was a thrill for both of us.

He's had the same photos for a while now. But at least he was cute when I saw him a couple of years ago. I saw him for what I expected to be a legit massage, but I got an unexpected bonus at the mid-point and another bonus at the end. I would bet on him being a YMMV kind of guy because I can't imagine he's that...friendly...with just anyone.

I don't think anyone's saying they don't understand why parents get excited about having a kid. People can be as excited about that as they want.

I'd say the discussion is more about how that excitement sometimes ends up translating into throwing a party involving explosives (and potentially fires, property damage, death) to reveal that kid's gender. One can have an opinion on that regardless of whether one is a parent.

I take my hat off to all those who are able to attend gender reveal parties and convincingly pretend that finding out the gender of someone else's baby (a) provides information that is in any way relevant or noteworthy and (b) is cause for celebration.

I get it. We all need touch. We all get that itch. He says he keeps his table super clean. We are both going to wear a mask. The economy needs to keep moving, etc., etc., etc.

And that's all fine and well, except things are getting worse. Period. This isn't speculation, or mind control, or the government trying to take away your rights. This is life or DEATH. There's a new more contagious version of COVID-19 in the UK and now the US. In the Los Angeles area 1 in 5 people tested is showing to be infected. This is an huge increase from before the holidays.

Ambulances are no longer transporting people in cardiac arrest if they cannot revive you on site you get left behind. There's no capacity for people hurt in car accidents or with other health emergencies. https://www.cnn.com/2021/01/05/us/los-angeles-county-california-human-disaster-covid/index.html

So, yes... come here and share stories and tips, make your wish list for when things are more stable, ask about your favorite eye candy, but think twice 365,620 times before you book a massage. (That's the US death toll as of this posting.)

And here's the thing; I know some of you are going to lambast me, and try your straw man arguments, report this post and try to have it taken down, but I really don't care. Somebody has to say this. We need to stop this thing. It starts with each of us acting responsibly.

Several years ago I was in Boca Raton for a meeting and my incident happened. I was delayed in arriving due to weather and it was later in the evening. I had arrived wearing my suit from the day at work in NYC. I noticed a really hot muscular Latin bell man working and we spoke as I was checking in. I go to my room and immediately get started to work on something due the next morning, but a problem with the WiFI!

I call downstairs to tell the front desk about it and they send someone up. The bell man shows up at my door! Hot in his uniform and an obvious package! So I sit down at my laptop and he stands next to me trying to explain what to do. The whole time he is leaning over me and his bulge is rubbing my arm. I am instantly hard! He says let him try something, so he sits down and I am standing over him. Mybulge now is rubbing on h8is arm! That is all it took and we went at it from there! Hot and quick since he was on the clock. Man was that hot! I am always thinkingof ways to lure someone up for that again.

OP asked about pandemic precautions... It stands to reason that pre-pandemic there was no pandemic, and post-pandemic there will be no pandemic. So I'm not sure what point you're trying to make. But I don't think it's necessary to turn this into a "risk of COVID vs. any other risk" thread.

Sure, they're the ones following CDC guidelines and staying at home not seeing any clients right now. All other masseurs pose a risk to your health, to a degree that is unknowable based on anonymous forum posts. Hope that helps.

Going to respectfully disagree. A client may conceivably has things going on after an appointment. @leftbench23 didn’t say if he had dinner arrangements or whatever at 9 pm or whatever. And neither does he need to share that. He had an appointment at 6 pm and the escort didn’t see fit to communicate til 22 minutes later. Depending on the nature of leftbench’s schedule, that 22 minutes could well have robbed him of a quickie before a stressful dinner meeting. Escorts aren’t the only ones with busy lives who value their time and expect certain pleasantries to be observed.

I agree this is the best technique. It has led to extra perks at many legit massages for me!

This you have to be careful with. The masseur might not pay any attention to (or have an issue with) your hands being at the edge of the table at the beginning of the massage, but he's likely to notice you moving them back out to the edge for no reason after he repositioned them (not always in a good way).

If the masseur repositions my hands, I only move them closer to the edge again after they objectively seem to be getting in the masseur's way (like if he keeps bumping into them as he massages the thighs).
