I have to disagree. That is the same logic that allows gay people to be fired, just because they are gay and choose to go to gay bars. Being gay and going to a gay bar does not impact my ability to underwrite a loan at the bank where I work. Being gay and kinky at home does not impact his ability to provide a weather forecast. It’s not like he is asking his employer (NY1) to make any special allowances to support his kinky behavior. Unlike a recent applicant who HR allowed to bring his emotional support animal (a potbelly pig) to the office. The mess was incredible and the customer complaints (and impact) were very real.

But I understand your confusion, @StarGZ edited his posts after the fact so it is hard to keep up with what, my high school English teacher would call, “verbal diarrhea”.
