  1. New York City.
  2. I dont follow your meaning. There are plenty of resources, starting with the CDC, your state health department and your primary care physician. I got the vaccine last week. Most of my friends and acquaintances in the gay community got their vaccines in the past week or have it lined up for the coming week. Where are you located? If in a smaller city the risk of transmission is probably lower but the vaccine should be available shortly if not already. To date nobody has died in the USA to my knowledge, as treatment options are available. Chin up, fella.
  3. Some people have all the luck! Applied for renewal in January and have not heard anything back. 😔
  4. Do you mean Bastille day? Or the delightful confluence of events where today is National Nude day AND National Tape Measure day? (Coincidence? I don’t think so!!) 😆
  5. Immunity from vaccination wears off as time passes, just like natural immunity. Please provide the source of your misinformation. 🙄
  6. I am sure that is a great comfort to those who died from the disease before a vaccine was available. 🙄
  7. In NYC I provided my contact details and was told I would be contacted to schedule my 2nd shot. They appear to have the intention to make sure everyone gets two shots. The cute nurse that gave me the shot said “you are only considered fully vaccinated 4 weeks after your 2nd shot”. But they may have been trying to impress me (they did admire my biceps!) 😆
  8. He was so adorable - projected a sense of innocence that was irresistable!
  9. I talked to my friends in Europe (Germany and UK) and they have similar problems getting their hands on the Jynneos vaccine - the NHS in the UK placed a large order on July 1 but delivery of the bulk of the order is targeted for last quarter of the year. The USA placed a smaller order but did get the order in sooner. The manufacturer is a small Danish company with limited capacity. At the moment demand outstrips supply for everyone, basically everywhere.
  10. I got mine yesterday - it's been more than 24 hours and I have not had any reaction, adverse or otherwise (no spider-senses yet!). Arm is a little tender, just like when I get the flu shot. Not stopping me from doing any of my planned Sunday activities. The vaccine has been approved for years - I did some searching and asked my PCP about it before I made the appointment and was told it is safe and recommended.
  11. I look forward to comments by Jamie Dimon from JPMorgan and Charlie Scharf from Wells Fargo during their earnings release in the coming week - should give us real insight into how the economy is faring. Their books of business and crossover between corporate and retail banking (including credit cards and home lending) give them a lot of data to extrapolate from.
  12. Serial bumper alert! 😆
  13. Well, you certainly don't want to talk business on the Grindr platform. So exchange phone numbers and then discuss like you would with any other provider. Be respectful but to the point - nothing different.
  14. Yes, it is only polite. But I refuse to lower my standards.
  15. I got vaxxed in NYC this morning - was lucky enough to get an appointment. Pretty smooth process - about 40 minutes including a mandatory 15 minutes wait time (thanks Warden, can I get out of jail now?). Feeling fine so far. But an afternoon nap may be in order. 😉 Odd thing - they gave me a separate piece of paper, refused to fill in my vaccination card. I guess I will complete it myself since I have all the details. I figured it would be routine, but they looked a little surprised when I asked. Hope you get your turn soon!
  16. I am happy for you. One swallow does not a summer make - hope it is sustainable. Would you share a link to your rentmen profile?
  17. I am sure a provider can still run into issues - my point is that if you are dealing with established, repeat customers, these issues should be reduced. But if I am wrong, I am wrong.
  18. I am curious - when do you come across cancellations? Is it mostly when you travel or particular days/time slots? Over the past 8 years I have only cancelled same day twice: the first was due to unclear communication - the second was when I was called in to deal with a work matter. In both cases I apologized and paid the rate. Both providers are local and were (or subsequently became) regulars. I’ve had far more instances where a provider cancelled in me or didnt show up. I am sharing this because I believe that a provider with an established and loyal set of repeat customers will experience far fewer cancellations… or may be compensated even when a cancellation occurs. So my suggestion is to aim for that. Be a provider that folks want to see again. Go beyond the basics (be on time, good hygiene, dont short on time) and exceed expectations (always friendly and smiling, carry a conversation, be fun and gracious, send a follow up message thanking them for any tip and tell them you would like to see them again if that is indeed the case). Good luck to you!
  19. Did you run a search? Comments as recent as March here:
  20. It isn't just what he said, it is also how he said it. When you look at the TikTok clips, he comes across as being full of himself with a "better than thou" attitude, which I grant you, is not uncommon for a dude of that age. He also implies quite a bit, you don't even have to read between the lines; he basically implies that the Bronx is a shit hole without grocery stores full of losers that survive on ramen. The reference to minorities is also unfortunate - implying that African Americans can't relate to a white bro unless you wear a NAACP t-shirt is at least borderline racist. I respect your opinion, but my read of this is a bit different. I could be wrong. 🤷‍♂️ I would not say the things he said - then again, I am not a 20 year old so have a bit more life experience.
  21. I’d look into that very carefully. I’m assuming this is a revocable living trust - those are associated with your social security number and don’t usually have a separate tax ID. You are unlikely to be able to double up (just like you can’t double up on an IRA contribution in a living revocable trust.)
  22. Young and dumb….just the way I like ‘em. I am sure he would be offended by my saying that. My point: like my momma used to say…If can’t say anything nice, keep your mouth shut. She also said that if you cant take the heat, you should stay out of the kitchen. If he doesnt want attention on his actions, he should stay off of TikTok and Twitter.
  23. You ask for an honest opinion - so I will share mine. Time wasters are a reality for anyone who is in a service business. Building a book of repeat clients is usually the best way to minimize the impact. Personally I frown on the concept of a deposit and don’t agree to it. Too many of the people I talk to got scammed out of their deposit, so for me it is a no go. Leaving a voicemail is…fine, I guess. Now, as for your problem with spam, i have to point out that you just posted the same question on 4 different threads…see the irony?
  24. When you look at the statistics of ownership (from Coinbase for example), Crypto ownership is high under the younger demographics (under 40) and minorities. They have been particularly hard hit by what CNBC calls the “Crypto Carnage”. https://www.cnbc.com/2022/06/14/cramer-tuesday-more-crypto-carnage-oilers-upgraded-oracle-wows.html I guess that means I have a slightly different take on “diversity in the industry” 🤷‍♂️
