SultanDC reacted to maninsoma in BIG CLIENT BREAKS HOTEL BED
I have to disagree to some extent. Think about it from the client's perspective: He knows he's overweight, but he has no idea what's happened on that bed previously. For all he knows, the bed is about to collapse anyway and the combined weight of both he and the masseur were the tipping point in the bed's collapse. Maybe the masseur had other, similarly large clients before him. Maybe the last people who stayed in that room were even bigger. Who knows? As beds are not cheap, as a client I wouldn't simply fork over several hundred dollars because the masseur asked for it. I am fortunately not so large as to make a bed collapse at this point so I am not arguing this out of a defensive position; I just think it's a bit of a stretch to lay the entire responsibility on one client simply because the obvious damage occurred while he was there.

That’s very courteous to lay a mat to save you both the trouble and embarrassment. Thanks for that.

No! He is giving us a quick summary of his experience and a thank you. I would not call that a formal review. If we can’t do that then why bother with this site at all?

SultanDC reacted to Dmitri in Refund Or No Refund?
No refund for all reasons mentioned by others. But when you started mentioning the other parts of your history with this client, (hitting you up on Scruff, etc.)......it becomes clear that you really need to hit the "delete" button on him and stay FAR away. Do not respond to him via text, phone, etc. Just "ghost" him. He sounds like a nutcase and a future problem if you engage him in any way in the future.

SultanDC reacted to Capitano in John of WeHo now in DC
A competent masseur who should run a regular business and charge $80-100 an hour. Then he wouldn't have to use someone else's pix, offer a rushed, mechanical HE in the end, and do body gymnastics throughout to avoid any accidental contact. But hey, charging ~50% more is too enticing to some, even if it means constant travel in search of new and unsuspecting one-time clients.
I am so glad this forum exists, sometimes you take one for the team but other times it really saves you money, time, and frustration!

If you want to argue that MF is correct in asking for identification, Cruiser, then at least make the correct argument. They are not simply checking IDs to ensure the advertiser is of legal age; they are insisting advertisers have government identification issued by a government authority in the US. I don't think anyone would argue that refusing ads from minors is wrong. And if someone wants a fake ID I think it's pretty easy to get one still, so who are they fooling anyway? Since all of this is being done on line, not in person, it seems like it would be very easy for someone to submit something that looks like legitimate ID that is merely something Photoshopped on a computer. Since MF is not employing the advertisers, there is no law requiring them to document advertisers' authority to work in the US so all MF is doing is a poor "cover your ass" action that isn't necessary but that sends a negative message, at least to some in our community.
I personally think MF is going overboard in its reaction to the current political climate. The website became much less useful when they removed the categories. Then came their stupid shirtless photo rule. Now this. Maybe the site owners should simply shut down their site because, from my perspective, they are steadily making choices that will drive away business -- both advertisers and potential customers.

They are not employing. They are simply running an ad. There is ZERO chance of them being shut for immigration problems of advertisers. That is the furthest of their potential problems.
Maybe they think that by appearing more-right-wing-than-thou they will get brownie points to use against any FOSTA action. Not how it works.
If anything they are shooting themselves in the foot because if they can check immigration status of advertisers they can sure check state licensing status. This was exactly the government's position in the BackPage case; that BP helped the advertisers with suggestions on ads and reviewed much of their information, therefore they were not just a neutral advertising site.
Awful move on their part.

Stay away from him like the plague. I had a session with him several years back in San Francisco and it was horrible. We had a session scheduled and when I got there to his hotel he told me that he needed 20 minutes to shower because he just hooked up with a woman. He also told me he was really into her and he doesn't know if he could start the session with me and wanted to hang out with that woman. Who does that, if you really wanted to stay with the woman you should have called me to cancel your session with me. But stupid me really like him from his films and I went through with the session. The session was very very rush he was not into it at all and was half ass about it. He kept talking about the woman and how much he really wanted to continue the sex with her. It was such a turn off for me, I left after 20 mins and he wanted his fee for the half ass job. My views are that if you're into women then you shouldn't escort with men you shouldn't do films with men and if you do films or escort with men don't act like you're doing us a favor because you're not and we don't need you to do us a favor.

This is not going to the dentist or doctor. I'm hiring an escort. I have an important job nd there are times where I have had to cancel. Same with any escort who cancels on me. Even my regular guy has had medical issues personal issues we move on. As I said no escort will get a deposit fro me.

Savvy shoppers don't proffer deposits on new hires, and established providers who request an advance on a future meeting have just signaled the beginning of the end of what was once a good thing.

Tip #2. Don't drink to the point that you lose control.

Been tracking this. I’ve thought about straight up asking about a more sensual massage. I don’t know though I don’t want to scare him off either. I’m really
Curious of getting massage from him.

Texting he wants $300 for erotic massage (clothes off mutual touching) but he insists NOT escort stuff. And keeps the underwear on for $200.
I wished him luck at that $

SultanDC reacted to mike carey in Crossing the line with long-term therapist?
I'm calm, and it wasn't directed at you specifically! It's something that I've seen frequently, and I always think they mean psychological or similar therapy rather than massage therapy when I first read it. If someone says they are going to see their therapist, masseur is not the first type of therapist I think of, that's all. I characterised what I said as a rant for a reason!

Honestly, you can only be speaking for yourself. I'm too tall to fit on most beds. My body is too crippled, too. Can no longer lie on my stomach without a proper headrest. Way too painful. When I was younger, I didn't care much. Now, for a bed massage, I question when the bed sheets were last changed. I question the stale smell of the pillows. I question the dog, cat, and pubic hair flying up my nose. I question what went on in this bed just before my appointment. Many guys are just in HE massages for the money. They really don't care about the details like clean laundry. When I was younger, I didn't care about these things either. Now I care about everything concerning other people's germs affecting my health.

SultanDC reacted to + nycman in Needing some advice about my hire tomorrow
I understand your feelings.
The short version of my advice? If knowing your partner is poz is too much for you
to handle...to the point that you won’t be able to relax and have fun....then by all
means cancel.
My longer explanation....I’ve been in your shoes...despite having had sex with
hundreds of men....the first time I KNEW my partner was positive....I became
frozen. Rationally I knew that statistically I had to have had sex with men
who were positive. Nonetheless, when I was faced with the reality head on
it was difficult for me to handle.
Emotions are not rational.
Luckily, I was able to reassure myself and be thankful that my sexual
partner cared enough about me to be open and honest with me. This
was years before we understood that PREP and being “undetectable”
significantly reduced risks. I took a deep breath, expressed my
honest concerns....and my desire to move forward safely.
If I were you I’d disclose your unspoken fears to your HIV + partner.
If he’s open and willing to take it slowly, at your pace, and within
your comfort zone....I say go for it. When you really think about it
that’s good advice for any sexual partner.
Use protection....do things that you are comfortable with....and most
importantly relax and have fun!

SultanDC reacted to adventurous old guy in When an escort's profile proves to be misleading
Please consider this request: Will you spill the beans and identify him here? One of the major reasons I visit -- and I'd bet dollars to donuts I speak for others -- is to get intel on who to hire and who to avoid. You don't need to write a review to alert us to who is misrepresenting. Thx.

I wonder if the person in the stolen photo would also "prefer to limit his recognition as best as possible for his private social life, potential l_w enforcement and/or "potentially" being fired at work." Especially since the person in the photo is, in fact, not the person who placed the ad.
This point alone makes all the other points moot to me. If this "provider" is so lacking in respect for others then why should I believe he wouldn't do something shady to me? This speaks to your question of "ripping off" a client.
Also- I read it three times and still have no idea what you're trying to say about spray on tattoos or whatever.
Lastly, each time you double-down on how good a person this guy is it starts to make me wonder what your real connection is to him. If you're such a fan you should probably let him know what he is doing is not only wrong, it is technically a source of potential legal trouble from both the subject of the photo and the photographer, and he should reconsider the strategy.

SultanDC reacted to MisterMike in 411 Tattoednhandsome (LA)
But there's still 2 problems this doesn't address:
1. It's a bait and switch. Show one thing while actually providing another. That's sketchy.
2. Does the actual person in the ad know their photo is being used in this way? Did he give permission? The tattoos are specific so it's almost the equivalent of posting the person's identification. What if someone who knows the person in the photos were to see the ad? Why is it OK to violate this dude's privacy to sell another dude's handjob business?
So he may be "funny and cool" but what he's doing isn't.

SultanDC reacted to Tonyko in Vadim Black: personal experience?
I LOATH the word "lifestyle" when talking about us. Look how much alike Pat Robertson and Ozzie Osborne are, and it makes sense that they're so similar because they both lead a straight "lifestyle" right???? But when it comes to these G4P guys like Vadim I kinda' feel it does apply. What a guy does on cam is his profession and what he goes HOME to eats breakfast with shares a bed with shares a bathroom with is his "lifestyle" so I believe guys like Vadim are STR8 and G4P regardless of ALL they're willing to do and how enthusiastically they do it. (often more than some of us lol). But its that str8 guy DNA that makes them always point out HOW hard it is for them how many pills they have to take to get it up with another dude or, like the other guy in that MTV episode, bitch and moan and practically throw up when talking about their gay porn career and what they "have" to do to support their kids and baby mamas etc. Like they're being FORCED the poor things. They're doing it because Home Depot or Starbucks or the shit jobs they''d be working because it's all they're qualified for won't give them 1500$ or 2K to walk thru the door for a day. THAT'S the tude that makes ME sick.
Sinatra was famous for re-arranging songs he sang changing the style and lyrics. It drove Cole Porter crazy. He wrote him a note saying; if you don't like my songs the way I wrote them don't sing them. Sinatra wrote back; if you don't like the way I sing them don't cash the checks.
