  1. Many here have related over the years how paying in advance meant seeing their money disappear. I’d say: Don’t do it. Never pay in advance. And Yes, I ignored the general advice once myself. A guy I knew intimately from having 3 overnight dates with him asked for help with “cash flow” before we had a week-long vacation together. It worked out OK, but I wouldn’t advance money again.
  2. Maybe @glutes when he’s had sex with 20+ men for money and sucked a few cocks, he won’t be so “straight”…
  3. Obviously @KrisParr you fancy him greatly. You stated you find him “beyond sexy”. Now you know he’s available. So what’s stopping you? My opinion is that you must find out if you’re compatible, and whether he will do what you enjoy. I repeat: what’s stopping you?
  4. FWIW I have remote-controlled blackout blinds that cover the glass. They help with sleeping. There’s no City ordnance that I’m aware of. Once, when chatting with an agreeable Police Officer, I asked whether being visibly naked at home might be considered offensive; he said No but added that watching other people at home could be. When I was single, I regularly had overnight guests. I particularly enjoyed it when muscleboys, wandering naked from my bedroom to find me in the kitchen making coffee, stopped to admire the great views from my windows. I’m especially fond of the memory of the morning when one superbly built muscleboy met me as I emerged from the kitchen with coffee. We were both stark naked. He kissed me, got me aroused, and then dropped to his knees to suck me off to completion. I suspect he truly was an exhibitionist.

My understanding @thedanNYC is that @tassojunior is broadly correct. The source is https://wiki.unece.org/display/CTRBSBC/Czech+Republic which shows all non-essential travel is banned. Wanting to go on vacation or simply visit are not regarded as essential. And the rules for Switzerland are complex. The source is https://www.schengenvisainfo.com/news/travel-restrictions-who-can-enter-switzerland-what-are-the-rules/. Again, non-essential travel is very restricted.
  6. I say this with love @Luv2play but if you can also bring climate change into this, then truly this thread will have wandered spectacularly far from Memorial Day Weekend… 😎
  7. For me, @Boy4 the BFE is lots of physical attention, touching, kissing, extended foreplay leading up to passionate love-making. So it is very much the romanticized ideal rather than the reality related by @lonely_john
  8. Going back to this thread’s title and the comment by the OP @Boy4 that it seems the pandemic is “unofficially over”, what on earth is happening in Victoria, Australia? Australia remains closed to the outside world but I read yesterday of a fresh outbreak in the state of Victoria. It is now having a very short lockdown but I wonder what short lockdowns really achieve.
  9. On a more serious note, @Luv2play, I feel your answer describes the zenith of the British Empire well. And in the late 1950s, the saying you mention (“the sun never sets on the British Empire”) was historical but still a matter of quiet pride. I would argue that since WWII the world has enjoyed a Pax Americana as the US became the world’s policeman. But it seems to me that has now been lost, with the rise of China and authoritarian regimes in Russia, Iran and other countries.
  10. Not to quibble @Luv2play but I must correct you. As a young gay child, I was delighted to learn that the British Empire was always coloured in pink on maps.
  11. Gosh @mike carey I had no idea of that. I must say that you look really well, considering your great age.
  12. When I hired, I always posted reviews (on the review site) when I had an excellent or good experience. I didn’t bother with mediocre encounters. I tried hard to be fair and positive but if there were negative aspects, I mentioned them in the reviews. IIRC there were 3 times where I said something negative, and 2x the escort objected furiously to my truthful description/comment. In Hooboy’s day, the escort got the last word.
  13. My building has floor to ceiling glass too. I’ve lived in it for 20+ years and I’ve had a full and varied sex life. Admittedly there’s no other building close by, but the exposure has never inhibited me 😎
  14. Like @bostonman I did jury duty once and I enjoyed it. It was for a week and there were several cases. I enjoyed it as the justice system interests me, and the judge invited us to ask questions if anything seemed unclear. Also I met 2 nice people on the jury who turned out to live near me
  15. Personally @purplekow I feel this topic should be in the Fetish Forum.
  16. I hate early morning flights but I hate even more arriving in a new city very late at night. The only way I have found to make early flights palatable is to spend the night before at an airport hotel.
  17. AFAIK he’s not at all successful as a model. He tried working as a personal trainer in NYC for a while, but that’s an expensive city and a tough place to make it as just a trainer. Undoubtedly, extracting money from gay guys online is his best economic opportunity. I do know that in the past he’s relied on “friends” for “support”.
  18. Interesting view @Walker1. I feel that Nick is just a photographic prick-tease.
  19. I don’t know where you’re based, but if you can get the TV station…Al Jazeera TV News has carried excellent filmed reports of the situation in Colombia. They have local correspondents speaking from Bogota.
  20. I enjoy getting massage regularly but I expect it to be non-erotic. Over the years, I had 3 different guys do more, but it was always the masseur that initiated it. 1. At a gay hotel in Key West, the masseur finished me with a handjob. He didn’t ask me what I wanted so I paid but only gave the usual tip. 2. At a European resort, the masseur started chatting about sex once I’d mentioned I’m gay. He told me he ‘loved to rim a nice ass’ like mine so I told him to go ahead. He was talented and when I turned over, he finished me off with his mouth. I paid and added a large tip. 3. In London, the masseur expressed surprise at my being gay. He made complimentary remarks as he touched me and asked finally if I wanted to top him. I said ‘No, I’m feeling lazy but you can suck me off if you want’. He wanted, as he said he ‘loved the taste of cum’; it was to completion - I paid the fee with the usual tip, and he asked to see me again.
  21. Sorry to hear you’re suffering @Rod Hagen. (I’m no expert on this but I had a problem that affected my feet and in consulting experts, I was advised to do exercises to prevent this developing). Conservative measures to treat this are stretches and exercises to the lower leg muscles and feet. I assume you’ve been shown how to do these? I‘d suggest doing the stretches 3-4x daily. At home, elevate your feet and apply ice packs. And I assume you’ve already done the obvious: switch from running to swimming, throw away any worn athletic shoes, and never wear flip-flops!
  22. Lube, and lots of it.
  23. The one problem, if you like to have sex with ‘straight’ men, that I can foresee is that you’d have to be very explicit and specific in what you want to do/have done to you. I know what I enjoy in bed and I used to say “it’s a menu, not a checklist” as there is a range of things I enjoy. But with a man who identifies as ‘straight’, it would have to be a checklist to avoid disappointment and a poor experience.
  24. I agree with you @Reisr30 as I’ve had similar experiences. Some 12 years ago, I was having a sustained fling with a hot young actor in LA and we often went out for dinner. He was then half my age yet we never had a negative reaction. Sometimes we got smiles from other men when eating out in West Hollywood, and so he would make a definite point of picking up the check; I tried to look like a kept man. But in Manhattan there were looks. Perhaps it is just curiosity. I don’t recall us being the object of comment as we both dress quite smartly for dinner. I do recall one time on the UES when at a table not far from us, a man in his 60s was entertaining a twink in his early 20s; that table did excite quite a bit of comment and I felt sorry for them as the young man looked embarrassed.
