I have no debt of any sort but I use one particular credit card as much as I can.   The reward benefits really add up over time.  Of course, I pay off any credit card balance monthly and never carry a balance forward.

I agree with our resident bean counter! ( @Beancounter)
There are income limits for a Roth IRA - you can make too much money to qualify...but there are ways around it. Most firms use a financial firm to administer their 401k - like Vanguard, Fidelity or Empower.  These firms often offer free advice and you can ask to speak to an advisor about a Roth - just don't let them talk you into doing a rollover (moving money from your 401k to an IRA). If you like podcasts - the Moneygirl podcast has episodes on retirement accounts that will be an hour well spent, before you talk to an advisor.

Roth IRA: What It Is and How to Open One
WWW.INVESTOPEDIA.COM A Roth IRA is a special individual retirement account (IRA) in which you pay taxes on contributions, and then all future withdrawals are tax-free. Here’s a link to one of my favorite websites dealing with financial topics.   It will explain a lot about Roth IRAs.

Based on the information you provided, you are eligible to open a Roth IRA.  Having earned income qualifies you to contribute funds to a Roth.  If, on the other hand, you had only passive income you would not be able to contribute funds to a Roth.  You could convert existing traditional IRA funds to a Roth but that’s an entirely different situation

I have no credit card debt. When I met my future spouse at the age of 25, he was disturbed that I had credit card debt for vacation trips I had taken; from then on, I never charged anything on a card that I couldn't pay off in full when the monthly bill arrived. The only long term debt I have had in the last 50 years was for houses or cars, and I haven't even had much of that.

Because this is a personal finance forum and not a global politics forum (which is against the rules), I'll just say that I will comply with paying all the personal income tax I owe.

Beancounter reacted to nate_sf in Giving Christmas gift to providers
Maybe I'm old fashioned or had learned this from my mom, but I thought it's customary to provide service folks with small gifts or bonuses this time of year. A little cash or something to the mail carrier, paperboy (if there is still such a thing), hairdresser/barber, cleaners, etc.
So I'd think if an escort or massage provider is a regular, a small gift would be in keeping with this tradition. Of course there is passion involved with an escort/masseur's services so that might confuse things a bit, but a bit of extra cash or a small gift seems just fine.
