As a client I see a big problem with fake escorts using this deposit schtick to cheat clients. Sorry, I'll pass.

There are some good guys who need a way to reassure themselves because for outcalls sometimes clients give fake addresses and they have to drive tens of miles to a no show. And then there are swindlers like JamesATL .
 
I think someone needs to start an escrow service so that both parties feel reassured.

It’s not clear to me @InterestingGuy how long this contemplated hire is for. But if it’s at least an overnight - with flights and a hotel room, you’re going to spend quite a lot of money - I have 3 thoughts for you.
 
1. Why not visit him in his city? Assuming he’s located in an interesting city, if he should be flaky, you would still have an enjoyable time exploring a new place.
 
2. Why not get him more invested in the trip? If this should be a weekend hire, ask him what he’d like to do (outside the bedroom) or if there’s a place he’d like to see; if an overnight, ask him what sort of food he’d prefer for dinner.
 
3. I agree with others about the flights - use points if you can or buy a fully flexible ticket. I was burned once by a previously reliable escort and the airline would only refund him, the named passenger - something I’d not encountered before or since.

I think I'm still a little young for the Department for the Aging. Ha.
 
Thrilled to say that I'm doing much better since I originally posted this nearly two years ago. I quit drinking in September of 2017, finally found an anti-depressant that works well for me, started a new career about 9 months ago, adopted a coonhound named Lewis who I love to pieces, currently remodeling my house so I can sell and move into a bigger place, and things have pretty much never been better.
 
Quitting drinking was key. It was a good move. I recommend it to everyone.

There are so many factors. Is this a first time still birth or has this happened before? Did the couple have trouble getting pregnant?
How is his wife handling it? At 24 weeks, some fetuses can survive. I think offering condolences and waiting for him to return in his own good time is the respectful thing to do. After my wife's death, I returned to work in 4 days. The house seemed so empty and mournful. Work was not much better but there were other people and distractions and ultimately I was able to get the condolences period of the grieving period out of the way. For me, that was the most difficult. I needed to grieve but I did not necessarily want to share my grief so condolences, while appreciated, kept the unpleasant memories recurring and blocked the joyous ones from becomings the prominent ones. Perhaps your colleague feels likewise.

Got the same text this morning from a 440 (Ohio) area code. Couldn't tell if it was my burner number or my regular one as texts to both come up in the same place. I checked the link and there's a few escorts listed though, oddly enough, none for the DC area which is my next trip.

I received that text, too, this morning on my burner phone. A quick googling shows some Central America origins and various social media with that phrase. That's all I got for now!
