Just be you, man. And don't be afraid to be clear about what you want. It's way better for us to know your likes and dislikes so we can make sure the experience is what you want. We can't always intuit what you want and it's good practice for when you do find a serious partner. Sex is always better when there's communication. Oh, and don't be too self conscious about what you look like. We are all God's children.

I completely agree. Whenever I hire an escort for the first time for more than just a wham-bam, I almost always spend at least half of that initial meeting just talking because I need that to relax and get comfortable for an intimate session. Sometimes that level of full comfort and ease doesn't happen until the 2nd or 3rd time we meet, assuming I felt that there was some kind of spark or potential during the 1st session.

 

 

So, depending on what you want, don't put too much stock into how well you click at that 1st meeting. Rather, look for signs or indications of the deeper qualities that you seek, and which can develop over time. And as long as you're upfront with the escort about what you want (and that it's your first time, of course), assuming he's a consummate professional, he should be able to guide you through it and minimize the discomfort and awkwardness.

Everything above has been great advice. Usually we are going to have a short "get to know ya" section before things really get started. The better escorts seem to ease their clients into starting the second stage knowing that clients sometimes are too nervous to make the first move. Also I usually will start drinking a small glass of wine a very short while before the escort arrives. I calms me but I also know that I am not going to have much more to drink because I definitely do not want to be anywhere near drunk. I seldom get thru 3/4 of a glass before things start in earnest. It is only meant to calm.
