I love this guy. He actually has a pretty good YouTube channel. He is the epitome of a metrosexual and does videos on all kinds of men's grooming and dressing tips. I'm not sure I'm getting your point. Is it the darndest thing because he was annoyed that you cancelled on short notice or that he thought his time was important?

You'd have to watch a number of his videos. He is very gay inclusive and always makes a point of saying "if your girlfriend or boyfriend doesn't like blah blah blah..." He knows he has a lot of gay followers and is very gay friendly, but in this case, I think he is an honest to goodness straight metrosexual. ( Of course no one ever knows what goes on behind someone's closed door. )

I think this is the crux of it @nycboi. You live in one of the gayest places in the country, but you still have to put yourself out there. You have to go to where men are looking to hook up and the apps are the obvious place. As far as I can tell they've almost completely replaced bar hookups.
 
If you're counting on being approached on the street or the gym or whatever, I doubt it's because you are too "straight looking." You probably are just not coming off as approachable, so yes, smile more dude.

To get around this particular issue you should be able to put both e-tickets on your phone, but to answer your original question, no. I can't think of a single person I know (over the age of 12) who does not have a smartphone

Gray -- you didn't come off negative to me in any way. We had a good time and I enjoyed your company. The "douche" I was referring to was whoever was saying that you don't look like your pictures. I'm one of the few in this thread who actually know what you look like in real life.

Oh he "gets it." We talked about his ad quite a bit and the impact it will have on a client's decision to hire. We actually didn't talk much about anything political other than its relationship to his ad, but he just refuses to be a closet conservative. If the subject comes up, he's not willing to play dumb and act like he has no opinions. He also doesn't want anyone to hire him who will be shocked (and judgemental) that his beliefs are so out of the gay mainstream.
 
That said, he's a pretty sweet guy and quite capable of avoiding political discussions.

I am the exact opposite. I want to start a whole new chapter in my life -- not just continue my current life with less money to work with. Moving to a new country, adopting a new culture, really learning a new language, are the things that I figure will give me goals and keep me busy. I'm looking forward to some leisure but I also want some excitement.
