I would also point out that this person worked in a lab with other important older scientists who were mentoring him, including Peter Dukor: Head of the Biology Research Department of Ciba-Geigy and later Sandoz. So my information which he and Dukor had both told me decades ago, is not random opinion.

When I was very young, I was attracted to some of the boys, but I didn't see myself fitting in with the gays...so it was traumatizing for a bit when I was 12 to 13 years old, when I had little knowledge of how this all works, and worried that I was on my way to becoming a homosexual. Something that was often described as a pathway to loneliness. I have long been a proponent of the "you-do-you" attitude when it comes to human sexuality. When I was in High School...I was considered straight, when I was in college I was considered bi, after college I spend a few years exploring and people considered me gay, then back to bi, when I married my wife, and now most people think I'm straight because I'm married with kids, and lead a more discreet sex life. In the end..throughout all these labels, I haven't really changed. I am still ME !

I used to see him regularly in 2019 ( pre-Covid). I won't go into a lot of detail, but he's a sweetheart so I feel the need to defend his honor here. So yes, I do know what his resistance was, and it more than a just "hang-up".

As was discussed before ...much of this "straight" provider phenomenon is marketing. I am susceptible to it myself. Growing up I never had any attraction to my gay friends. I only wanted the boys on the wrestling team, who were straight and all ended up marrying and having kids. Years later I discovered that one of my wrestling buddies admitted to having sucked off many of those very same guys. 😲 Human sexuality is a spectrum. Straight / bi / gay are misleading labels for many. Presenting as straight doesn't mean you're straight but it does provide a well loved fantasy hook up for people like me.

I think what hasn't been mentioned and is likely important - is the trailer. People here seem to like the film / or don't like the film but that's AFTER they pay their ticket price. I think the more important component to poor sales was the trailer which in my opinion was pretty cringe-worthy. My wife loves a good rom-com and we sit and watch together all the time. Adding a few gay jokes and attractive men isn't turning either of us away. But that trailer was so painful to suffer we never even considered watching more.

What isn't discussed here is that Anthony Fauci suppressed all funding for HIV cures and consistently favored HIV drug therapy, which is far more profitable for the pharmaceutical industry. My very good friend who's a leading immunologist noticed on the 1980s that some gay men were exposed to HIV frequently but did not become infected. In the laboratory there was some evidence that a B cell response was being made rather than a T cell response ( which HIV actually uses to spread ). Research in inducing a B cell response would have effectively prevented HIV infections with a vaccine. The research was not funded because drug therapies were the priority. Billions have been made off that research to instead produce a daily pill instead of a single vaccine. More than one scientist also proposed CURES for HIV and Fauci consistently shot down every proposal in favor of the more profitable drug therapy route. So I always find this propaganda about Fauci disturbing. People are so easily fooled into believing people who are profiting off of their misery are somehow a hero.

With all "BIG MUSCLE"boys, who aren't actual "body builders" there is a layer of fat over the muscle that gives you that sexy curvy shape to the muscles. It's interesting to note that over the years, I have had guys approach me to be their first homosexual experience. I think most men fear being viewed as a "sissy" more than a dicksucker. Bromosexuality seems to be ok for some guys but hooking up with a "fairy" is wrong. There's a lot of psychological stuff wrapped up in identity. Way too much to unravel when each person's experiences are all so unique. That's why I dislike labels. Very hard to categorize everyone's life into a single word.
