  1. Like other fashions of desire (leather, piercings…) it’s the beauty of the body that makes the fashion statement hot, not necessarily the other way around. He has a spectacular looking body. With or without ink.
  2. A fabulous legit massage can indeed be worth a longer drive. From my place, his neighborhood is an hour’s drive in light traffic. I don’t mind arriving in the area early, should I overcompensate. So what, if the drive home is in peak traffic and the two hours behind the wheel undoes half the work? 🤓
  3. Whether a party pic or a selfie it’s a default photo face for some people. Doesn’t really make anyone, male or female, look more interesting or attractive, but if off-putting is the vibe one wants to project, it’s a good choice.
  4. Implied “fuck-offs!” were everywhere, tho…
  5. I’m still hoping to find this kind of booking too. You’d think in LA with the most show-offs per capita, there would be a few well-built guys who have a dance background of some sort and a healthy exhibitionist streak.
  6. As a gay man, having a gay man as a primary physician reduces some of his questions during our visit. You’ll never be asked “why…?” You’ll find someone!
  7. I’ve added him to my Amazon wishlist. 😍
  8. By Christmas I’ll be able to stream my way under the sea.
  9. I don’t understand why, for Americans, this is a thing. Whether they disappear overnight or live long and happy lives, it has no more effect than worrying whether Armie Hammer wants to eat me or just have coffee.
  10. Mostly it sums up a preference for Men over Boys. And you would see the same summary in my taste as well. 👏🏼
  11. With such wide parameters, you could arrive in LA with no plans, get checked into your hotel, shower, etc, and then find the guy who fits your description who can be there in 15. Hyperbole, yes. But seriously, there are so many providers out here that a couple thorough passes of Rent.men will yield same-day (next day?) service options that can pay off for you! Safe travels!😘
  12. Like A Good Neighbor, State Farm is… all, like, “bye, Felicia”
  13. In LA, providers listing themselves in LA can be anywhere from Santa Barbara to Palm Springs and Orange County. On the rent.men site, under “contact me” was an option to get an approximate location of the provider offering incalls. This has always been an important piece of information when searching. I know how much time I’ve allotted for my date, from walking out the door, to walking back in, factoring in travel time. If a guy is outside my allowed travel time, I won’t reach out, but save him for another point when I am able to travel further. The NEW RentMen App doesn’t offer anything comparable on location. Anybody else disappointed by this? I don’t want to have to reach out just to ask where he does his work.

  15. So title of this thread is about one particular business in NY called SPA? Nevermind.
  16. Santa Fe obvz more pricey for everything, esp in summer opera season. Better for vacation than Albuquerque which is overall a quiet gay-friendly city with many different areas for residence. Gorgeous scenery everywhere you look, and lots of ways to become better acquainted with nature and SW Native Culture and traditions. We own rental property in ABQ, which was incredibly well priced when we needed to find an investment. We have friends whom we visit, but I am a city mouse at heart and would not relocate to the area.
  17. A day spa, or hotel/resort spa is an entirely different experience from engaging a particular provider for service at his location or yours. Yes, there are people at a spa. 😳 And yes, the prevailing atmosphere is hushed conversation, no phones, with no cruising *ymmv, nor sex. The massage itself will be in a closed room, perhaps a curtained booth, and draping is standard, as is a fully dressed masseur. In the wet areas some patrons walk around nude, but such nice robes and towels and shower shoes are provided, most of us make use. For many of us it’s a fair trade off in exchange for more technically reliable bodyworkers, and steam/sauna/jacuzzi and shower all right there, as well as other skin-improvement services. Day spas vary widely as to these wet-area amenities. The low-rate spas offer less wet area space - perhaps just a sauna and shower. The spa experience is not for everyone. And definitely not for a client intent on a happy ending. I bet a lot of us use both spa services and hire private providers, depending on what we need when time and money coincide. Being quiet for an hour or two seems to be a widespread problem.
  18. If you were to tell the new guy how he disappointed you, an experienced client, what he did or didn’t do, what would the main issues be? (Just chemistry, or actual choices he made? Which would include offering a safe environment if hosting…) When I’ve ventured into trying a new provider, I’ve not had the kind of experience that would inspire same reaction as you to this new dude. Maybe I need to expect more..?
  19. Maybe it’s Maybelline
  20. Lots of sound advice from members. I am not going to pursue any contact or convo, and if I happen to run into him somewhere in this vast city (where I am now retired) I imagine we’ll each have a couple laughs and move on.
  21. I base my choice more on training and experience than on appearances. I choose to have even a legit massage done by a man in a more casual environment than a spa providing similar level of bodywork, which has overhead, and people!!! , and charges more. I personally do not benefit from Thai style, which is the more affordable spa service in LA. if I am envisioning an encounter that involves certainty about my climax, I know that it’s better to find guys who do both massage and escort, and I book a session for the latter, with massage-ish elements. I keep expectations low and have rarely been disappointed. We’re only compensating them for their time, after all.
  22. Not a crush. The occasional silent dirty thought, which I am certain was not reciprocated. But he’s fun and interesting and funny. He’s a man, not a boy, but has a can-do attitude and sensitivity to people’s needs. We problem solved together. His demeanor, intellect and vibe may make for the right match to clients wanting good company. It’s something that I am happy to leave as his private hobby.
  23. Thx! I no longer work, and the one time I shat in the wrong place (41 yrs ago) prevented it from happening again in my career. I have also given the same solid Rose Castorini advice to others who needed to hear it! I hope my friend is choosing to provide services because he enjoys it - I received a company-wide email in ‘20 during our furlough that he had resigned and had found other field-related work elsewhere in the city. He may very well be gainfully employed in town, and do it just because he wants to, for a way to meet guys. He’s listed only on Friendboy as far as I’ve found, which would probably not give the highest traffic for ads meant to yield income. I’ve said nothing to anyone who knows him about this. If I do run into him at any point I’m sure I’ll keep quiet about what I’ve seen. Nevertheless I used to love watching him walk away…😎
  24. On JFF they have fantastic chemistry. (But everyone does with Someone)
  25. We’ve not been in touch since beginning of lockdown. But we were definitely work friends - we had (with “hurry up and wait” a big part of the work) a lot of time to chat. Never flirted, but he was a smart and fun colleague whom I still miss. Stumbled on a profile on FriendBoy while checking a link from this site - phone number matches, full face shown, clearly him. Still a pleasure to see him from behind…If he was a stranger to me, I bet a session would be fun! I asked myself what to do, and I answered “nothing” Has anyone encountered a similar situation? Actually made contact thru the ad? Hired? Gave a winking nod when social circumstances brought you together? Actually talked about it? I may text him for an overdue coffee, but would not be bringing it up when he talks about his new worklife. Would be a script idea for a film from Breaking Glass that would go straight to LOGO and maybe tubi. 😂
