In connection with Global Entry renewals and Global Entry itself, I have had two renewals after my initial approval. Only my initial GE required an in-person interview. What motivated this response is to comment about the change to Global Entry after you return to the U.S. from an international trip. Until recently, those with GE were accustomed to walking to the GE Kiosks and placing an open passport on the screen and answering some basic questions and posing for a photo. However, my last time returning (a month ago) things were different. All one now needs to do is walk up to the GE kiosk and look into the screen and follow the instructions that tell you to align your face within a certain screen. There were no questions to answer and no passport to show. Within seconds, the GE kiosk knew who I am and produced a receipt so that I could hand it to the customs officer when I left the immigration area. Incredible how technology has advanced and keeps advancing. Global Entry now has facial recognition, at least they do in LAX and IAH and likely most large airports that accept GE. Those waiting for GE renewal now have an easier entry process.

You might not know that many law firms have access to "Lexus Nexus" a system/entity data company that will let you find out EVERYTHING about anyone. You and your affairs could be made available to someone you used as a provider. Most law firms pay even new hires a decent salary. I am curious why a young guy making a good salary would risk being an escort during his off duty time from his law firm employer. If you use the same firm as the provider for your legal work, and if something goes wrong with the provider relationship, you could find yourself in a very difficult and/or embarrassing situation. For your future well being, you will be wiser to select a different law firm. Good luck on what ever you do.

I was at my gym today and noticed a new type of gym machine hog. The guy (machine hog) brought a small kitchen type towel with him to the gym then wet the towel in the drinking fountain then put the wet towel over the seating area of a machine he had been using while he was off using a different nearby machine. As I wanted to use the machine that was occupied with the wet toweI, I asked him about the towel that he left on the machine he had just used and left to go to a nearby machine. His answer was priceless - "I want to keep that machine clear so I can go back and use it after I finish with this machine." I did not bother to respond further with him. How can one teach manners to someone so inconsiderate of others in a public gym where we all pay a fee to use the gym? Periodically, he was sitting at each machine while texting and talking on his phone. But, he did not seem to be "flirting" with anyone in the gym.

This will not work. I use Uber often in different foreign countries and occasionally in the U.S. In my Uber profile is my personal information including a credit card number and my personal address where I live. My Uber file also includes a listing of the countless trips I made in the past, showing the pickup location and the drop off location and the amount of the trip. There is no way that I would allow rentmen to have access to the information contained in my Uber account. On the other hand, in the past, I sent an Uber to a provider's place which allowed me to retain my privacy. -

I do not believe in violence but in the case of the guy who tried to scam you by offering you $26, I think the guy needed a punch in the nose. His behavior was inexcusable. $26 dollars. What an insult. It is no wonder you are so cautious about new clients. -

I think your communication with prospective clients is reasonable. However, I would not be comfortable giving an escort, that I did not previously meet, my photo and other personal data about me (as requested by you in one of your messages to a prospective client - see photo of your response below). What about anonymity? Other than the above issue, I can commiserate with the difficult back and forth you must endure with prospective clients. -

???? Do you know that potato chips and French fries are also potatoes? The study was not debunked. I also was in denial about the numerous articles I read about the fact that many non sugar foods convert to sugar in the body after being consumed. It was not until I accompanied a good friend to his neurologist that I sat in on a discussion my friend had with his doctor warning my friend about the severe diabetic neuropathy he developed, likely in part, caused by the non sugar foods he ate. As difficult as it is to accept, it is more difficult to ignore countless medical studies that conclude that many food items (that are not sugar) get converted to sugar after being eaten. If we are lucky, the wise, knowledgeable and prolific poster known as @unicorn will bless us with his opinion on this subject.

Very misleading? Here is a link to a Harvard University study that essentially says what I stated about potatoes: Many other everyday foods also convert to sugar in the body after eaten. https://www.hsph.harvard.edu/nutritionsource/2014/01/24/the-problem-with-potatoes/ Until recently, I had no idea that many common foods get converted to sugar after eaten. If you do a search for the subject, you will see that my initial post is not misleading.

Many people do not realize how bad sugar is on the body. Sugar can cause excess body weight and eventually cause diabetes and neuropathy after several years of consuming too much food that the body converts to sugar. Neuropathy can lead to amputations of limbs. To make it even more difficult to understand, many foods that people think do not contain sugar, are converted to sugar after being eaten. Who would think that rice, spaghetti, pasta, potatoes and many other non sugary foods would be converted to sugar after we eat the food? Here is a list of just some common non sugary foods that get converted after we eat them: Foods That Turn Into Sugar Potatoes (white and sweet) Breakfast cereals. Soda and fruit drinks. White sugar. Candy and desserts. White and brown rice. Fruit.

Sao Paulo was one of my favorites cities in the world. In addition to the fabulous rent-boy saunas, there was the Praca da Republica that had hustlers galore. And, there were many "cines" (theatres that showed sex movies) where one could meet some gorgeous hustlers. I decided to return to Sao Paulo last week and I noticed a major and depressing scene. The only thing still in tact from my prior visits is the sauna Lagoa that was moved and downsized a few years ago. The replaced Lagoa was busy each night I went there. There were many handsome garotos available. Today, I went to the Praca da Republica. It is now filled with hustling drag queens instead of garotos. There was not one male hustler in the park like in prior years. I then went to a former "cine" that had been very popular and where numerous garotos were available for a fee. After I paid my entrance fee and went inside, I was shocked to see the place was empty. I went to another formerly popular "cine" and it was boarded shut. I then decided to walk over to a restaurant that I had known and liked. I knew that the restaurant had been closed during the virus pandemic. I entered the restaurant but there were only a few customers using the restaurant. I looked around the restaurant and saw that much of it has been torn down and the cooking area was reduced to a fraction of its prior size. I decided not to eat there. I also walked to a few other places I formerly enjoyed but those places were boarded shut. If anyone who formerly knew Sao Paulo well, expect a big shock if you visit there at the present time. I plan to check out the sauna that supposedly replaced the old sauna, Fragata. Last time I was there in January of this year, the place had few customes and garotos. Also, two new saunas started up earlier this year but they are no longer in existence. If the Fragata replacement is doing well, I will report back, hopefully, with good news. The guys I knew from the site vivalocal.com no longer advertise. Bottom line? Lagoa sauna is the only remaining fun place that withstood the virus. Those going to Sao Paulo and using Lagoa, will have a spledid time. Nothing lasts forever.

Have you looked into the feature of Global Entry called "Interview on Arrival" To use this feature you have to be arriving in the U.S. from an international trip. Instead of going through regular immigration, there is a special line for this service. If you decide to try it, check the local rules to be sure it is still available. Or, you can use a link I posted back in February that has a lot of information about Global Entry. Here is that link: https://www.flyertalk.com/forum/trusted-travelers/1426118-global-entry-renewal-120.html

What about the word we see so often in posts to this forum and elsewhere - no one, often mistaken as noone and no-one.

There is much discussion above concerning various words and/or phases that some deem inappropriate of overused. Let us not forget the famous book that many of us were required to have during our education - Elements of Style: https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-elements-of-style-by-eb-white-william-strunk-jr/249214/item/10517008/?gclid=Cj0KCQjwlK-WBhDjARIsAO2sErS7UuWYnklB0GGKAfWzlik24Ygi1e8PAU3JAxJ-ZQUaF1P_vkt5PWQaAuc9EALw_wcB#idiq=10517008&edition=2330062

It is not about being able to afford rentmen. Rentmen is cheap. Paying the small monthly fee of $9.95 to rentmen does not impress anyone except for a braggadocio. I do not belong to their site because of my not wanting my personal information from my credit card to be on a site like rentmen. Escorts (providers) get paid in cash. No written trails are left.

As noted upthread, the only clients that can post a review to a rentmen providers' advertisement is a paying rentmen client. Because of that new rule, I see an immediate overall devaluation of the meaningfulness of reviews posted. I have several friends who hire from rentmen but they are not paying customers of rentmen. My friends have posted many useful reviews over the years. Obviously, they will not be submitting future reviews because of the new rentmen rule to accept reviews only from paying rentmen clients. I also use rentmen and I am not a paying customer of rentmen and I have, in the past, posted honest reviews of providers. My reviews will no longer be accepted unless I pay rentmen for the review feature. It is obvious that because of the new rentmen rule, a lot fewer reviews will be posted in the future to providers accounts. Non "premium rentmen" clients who have a good experience with a provider cannot write a review. Likewise, non "premium rentmen" clients who have a terrible experience with a provider cannot post a warning review. There is no question that the value of rentmen reviews have lost a great amount of value by not allowing all actual renters of providers to post a review simply because the client does not pay rentmen a fee. I would think the providers would complain to rentmen about the new rule.

How true in too many instances. Lots of providers have an enormous ego that causes them to think their time is more valuable than the time of the person who will be paying them. Clients are often regarded as "time wasters" because clients want to be sure the merchandise (providers) they are about to "rent" is accurate and really what they want.
