I don't see any "winner" in this scenario. You will piss off at least some of your friends once they realize that their fantasy man was only expressing interest because he was paid to do so. Even if no one figures out what's going on while the party is in full swing, they will surely figure it out later. Don't play with other people's emotions.

I organised a similar party 15 years ago. As the host, I picked up all the costs. We all had a great time, but I’d caution the OP that you need to invest time in choosing the right guys to hire and in making sure your friends understand the arrangements beforehand.
 
FWIW this is what I did.
