  1. It's generally a humorless time, but we also socialize differently than we used to. I remember those bitchy queens who would hold court and keep a room full of people absolutely in stitches. It was as though they were comics doing a routine. Anybody and everybody was a target, nobody escaped, it was politically incorrect and hysterically funny. We don't stand around anymore in large groups, everyone chatting and clutching a drink. The bitchy queens were almost always heavy drinkers, so they have probably all died from liver disease. But gay men have assimilated and they act differently. Years ago, that bitchy queen humor was called "Mary" humor. Gay men don't call each other "Mary" any more, or "girl" and they don't make jokes about broken wrists. So a lot of what you miss is an artifact of the outlaw status that gay men used to have. Assimilation seems to have its price - gay men have started acting like everybody else. As this has occurred, Gadar has become more and more unreliable. It's very common to meet a guy, and you simply cant tell whether he is gay or straight. I actually kind of like it - everybody is a mystery.
  2. I don't know these guys and I certainly defer to the opinions of members who do know them. I would say, not knowing any more about them than I do, I would definitely choose Dutch PR- he is so extraordinarily cute.
  3. I got my first shot at the beginning of the month at SFGH - short line, fill out some paperwork, bingo! Out of there in around 30 min.
  4. I had a recipe for baked ratatouille that I got out of a Sunset cookbook decades ago. No matter the season, it was my go-to dish for potlucks. Didn't seem to matter how many people were there, it always disappeared.
  5. I use dishwasher pods on the sanitary cycle to disinfect the washer every few weeks. I had some white sheets that had blood stains that I thought were set because they had already been washed. I threw them in with the dishwasher pods and they came out looking brand new.
  6. I'm pretty ripe myself and I have a new FB who doesn't like to shower. The combination of his and mine isn't for everybody, but for me, it's just intoxicating. I love smelling like him for a day afterward.
  7. I got so scattered and forgetful during the pandemic that it was scary. I would ask my self "how can I work? Not like this." But I'm mostly back to normal. That was a horrible thing we went through.
  8. So sorry to hear this. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
  9. I did the same. Some of the photos on my IG profile from summer 2020 get more "likes" than any others. I did a professional photo shoot in September of 2020. My avatar is from the photo shoot.
  10. I suppose lots of pics that are redundant is too many pics. But I love to view pics of really fit guys. I'm much less likely to hire if there are only a few pics that don't show much. One thing I have noticed on hook-up sites is that guys often have an idea of their physique that just doesn't match reality. Often a guy describes himself as average when he actually has a great physique. Other guys describe themselves as "muscular" and I just think "denial is a wonderful thing."
  11. Guys who like dirty fucking aren't that unusual.
  12. Right - If you have collected something from them, then you have some leverage. If they dick you around, you're going to keep their money and they will lose their investment. When I have trouble collecting from a client - I stop. I tell them that I have stopped and I will not start until they've paid me what they owe me, I remind them how much they already have invested in the matter and I make sure that they understand they are going to lose that investment if they don't pay in a timely manner. I used to do all this nicely, but I don't anymore - I turn into a real bastard if they owe me money.
  13. I have a real thing for big men and I have never completely figured out why. Big can mean big muscles, very tall or beefy/bearish. Even just a guy's weight is enough to get me going - I love guys who weight 200+ I am not talking however about guys that are obese. That 200+ guy needs to be ht/wt proportionate. My husband is 6'3". I have a FB who is 6'5". 6'6" isn't too tall for me. I obviously enjoy the size difference, but beyond that I don't have an explanation for it.
  14. Tyger and I have spent time together. He told me that he saw me walking in the Castro with my husband - I didn't even know it - he was very discreet and stayed completely away.
  15. What do you mean? Like parenteral hydration for a hangover treatment or something like that? I have read that in LV there are circulating vans where you can go for hangover treatment - they give you IV hydration with vitamins and some oxygen and an hour later you are a new person.
  16. It's maddening. Very few people seem aware of gym eitquette any more. If somebody is hogging a piece of equipment, you have to be assertive. I always say - "how many sets do you have left?" It it's one or two, I don't say anymore, but if they tell me 6 or 8, I say "i'd like to work in with you." They never say "no." The ones who really burn me, are those who spend 5 minutes between sets fiddling with their phone. I just say, "While you're busy with your phone, can I use that equipment." They're never happy, but they know they are wrong. I had one situation that escalated and I ended up calling in the management.
  17. I'm taking a corticosteroid for an autoimmune problem and I'm drinking 3-4L/day and weighing every morning so that I don't get the predsnsone moon face.
  18. You forgot to mention that you get the low water weight by drinking LOTS of water.
  19. My mother died when she was 89. She spent the last few years of her life in a skilled nursing facility, where she acquired a boyfriend who was even older than she was. They were both so dotty that they couldn't remember each other's names. They eventually started having sex. His family, my family and the nursing home staff were all scandalized and everyone was wringing their hands about what was to be done. Wisely, it was decided that nothing needed to be done. From all appearances the sex was consensual, and they were happy with each other, so they were allowed their privacy. He died, she died and the sun still kept coming up.
  20. What people who don't have tats can't seem to fathom is that the guys with tats don't care about that. Tats fade, the images get distorted as the underlying skin ages and they don't care - they still love their tats. There are people who got tattooed on impulse and there are women who got tattooed to please their boyfriends who were tattoo artists and these sorts of people are prone to regretting what they have done. But people who went into it with a clear mind and got images that they really like, typically don't have any regrets. When I take my shirt off, the typical reaction is "NICE ink," but when I take my shirt off, the farthest thing from my mind is what anybody thinks of my tats.
  21. Notice that I said I hire PARTLY on looks. I'm friendly with a young guy who just graduated from high school. He's a complete vision. Would I hire him as a trainer/coach? Absolutely not. I also have a friendly relationship with a trainer who is very adept with all kinds of corrective and therapeutic modalities and is always giving me pointers about things I should try, corrections I could make, etc. As to looks he's OK. Would I hire him? Definitely.
  22. Charm isn't one of my strong suits
