I have a real thing for big men and I have never completely figured out why. Big can mean big muscles, very tall or beefy/bearish. Even just a guy's weight is enough to get me going - I love guys who weight 200+ I am not talking however about guys that are obese. That 200+ guy needs to be ht/wt proportionate. My husband is 6'3". I have a FB who is 6'5". 6'6" isn't too tall for me. I obviously enjoy the size difference, but beyond that I don't have an explanation for it.

saying hello when you see an escort out socially

Tyger and I have spent time together. He told me that he saw me walking in the Castro with my husband - I didn't even know it - he was very discreet and stayed completely away. -
What do you mean? Like parenteral hydration for a hangover treatment or something like that? I have read that in LV there are circulating vans where you can go for hangover treatment - they give you IV hydration with vitamins and some oxygen and an hour later you are a new person.

It's maddening. Very few people seem aware of gym eitquette any more. If somebody is hogging a piece of equipment, you have to be assertive. I always say - "how many sets do you have left?" It it's one or two, I don't say anymore, but if they tell me 6 or 8, I say "i'd like to work in with you." They never say "no." The ones who really burn me, are those who spend 5 minutes between sets fiddling with their phone. I just say, "While you're busy with your phone, can I use that equipment." They're never happy, but they know they are wrong. I had one situation that escalated and I ended up calling in the management.

I'm taking a corticosteroid for an autoimmune problem and I'm drinking 3-4L/day and weighing every morning so that I don't get the predsnsone moon face.

You forgot to mention that you get the low water weight by drinking LOTS of water.

My mother died when she was 89. She spent the last few years of her life in a skilled nursing facility, where she acquired a boyfriend who was even older than she was. They were both so dotty that they couldn't remember each other's names. They eventually started having sex. His family, my family and the nursing home staff were all scandalized and everyone was wringing their hands about what was to be done. Wisely, it was decided that nothing needed to be done. From all appearances the sex was consensual, and they were happy with each other, so they were allowed their privacy. He died, she died and the sun still kept coming up.

What people who don't have tats can't seem to fathom is that the guys with tats don't care about that. Tats fade, the images get distorted as the underlying skin ages and they don't care - they still love their tats. There are people who got tattooed on impulse and there are women who got tattooed to please their boyfriends who were tattoo artists and these sorts of people are prone to regretting what they have done. But people who went into it with a clear mind and got images that they really like, typically don't have any regrets. When I take my shirt off, the typical reaction is "NICE ink," but when I take my shirt off, the farthest thing from my mind is what anybody thinks of my tats.

Notice that I said I hire PARTLY on looks. I'm friendly with a young guy who just graduated from high school. He's a complete vision. Would I hire him as a trainer/coach? Absolutely not. I also have a friendly relationship with a trainer who is very adept with all kinds of corrective and therapeutic modalities and is always giving me pointers about things I should try, corrections I could make, etc. As to looks he's OK. Would I hire him? Definitely.

Charm isn't one of my strong suits

That's true, yes. I do hire partly on looks - if a trainer/coach has a great build, to me, that's the first evidence that he can help me with my goals. I used to train at World Gym from time to time and I noticed that all of their trainers were all over-the-hill and out of shape. I mentioned it to my coach and he pointed out, "Yeah, but those guys have a LOT of wisdom." Unfortunately, World Gym was a casualty of the pandemic. They were family-owned and just didn't have the staying power that big box gyms have. I haven't thought about it, but I bet there has been a consolidation in the fitness industry caused by the pandemic. Another place I hated to see go under was San Francisco Crossfit in the Presidio. Same story, they didn't have the staying power - beautiful facility.

Duh. Of course you don't hire just any trainer.
-
Hiring a trainer is the most expedient way to "get it done right."

If I was using prosciutto in a recipe, I don't think I would use any salt beyond that at all.

Of course, I know that. I've had surprising things happen at my gym. MSMs pop out of the woodwork anywhere you go. Even though my gym is mostly straight, this is San Francisco, after all - so there are plenty of gay members. Because of the mix, you would just never call this a "gay" gym. I like it - especially because there are so many men of color. My husband isn't comfortable with it- he prefers a "gay" gym. The one thing about the clientele that tries my patience is all the women monopolizing any piece of equipment that they can use to build their booties.

My gym is mostly straight - but it is chock full of gorgeous young college-age guys - mostly Latin or Asian. I don't go there to cruise - I'm definitely there for the iron, but I definitely appreciate my surroundings. I chat guys up all the time and I have friendly gym-buddy relationships with lots of guys. It's always an enjoyable time. I've really missed it since I've been sick.

For me, it's eggs and oatmeal nearly every morning.

I have that too. They call it "reactive hypoglycemia." I have completely stopped eating pancakes and waffles for breakfast. If I have pancakes or waffles at breakfast, less than an hour later, I get dizzy and break out in a cold sweat - even if I have used sugar-free syrup.

They are excellent in Germany as well. They serve them in a big paper cone with a big glob of mayonnaise on top.

Cold, leftover carbs like potato salad are "resistant starch," - whole different ball game. Also, some of those low-to-moderate glycemic index carbs contain proteins called lectins which are thought to be unhealthful.

Agree - it is splitting hairs. It seems pointless to draw the distinction - a "distinction without a difference."

When I opened my very first savings account at age 7 or so, I think the rate was 4 or 4.5 %.

Exactly - I will not buy branded clothing no matter how "stylish" or "prestigious." Actually, I take that back. I don't mind buying branded stuff from places like Target because the only messages it conveys are that I'm thrifty and I that I don't care (too much) about what others think.
