I guess we each get out of it what we want to -Since what you wanted to hear is that it's OK to go without a mask in crowded indoor spaces, that's what you conveniently heard. I heard the same words that you did but my listening was "if your only concern is whether you get the virus or not, go ahead and go unmasked in crowded indoor spaces."
-
But not being masked in indoor spaces puts others at risk. The "my body, my choice" people keep forgetting that, or they just don't care.

He should probably go back to work - he seems to miss it. My sister is a CRNA. She lasted less than a year in retirement and went back to work because she missed the intellectual challenge.

A retired doctor who, even when practicing, had no special qualification in infectious disease or epidemiology. But some people think they know everything about everything.

I think they are trying to recoup some of the two years of lost revenue from the pandemic. They are betting that there are enough affluent people willing to pay the exorbitant rates. I'm incredulous over the jump in air fares. I'm never buying a ticket again that is split across carriers. I tried to change the return leg on a ticket I had bought on Expedia - different carriers for the trip out and the return trip. I wanted to change the return trip and it turned out that leg of the trip was non-refundable. If I wanted to change the flight, it would have cost me more than twice as much as I had originally paid for that leg.

I stayed at the Fairmont in Dallas a couple weeks ago - it was kind of a dump. The room decor was ghastly - sort of a cheesy late-70s faux western, tacky wall art, the bathroom fixtures didn't look like they have ever been upgraded, the wall covering in the bathroom was peeling, the public restrooms weren't clean, the exterior doors were clunky and hard to open - on and on, I found one thing after another to dislike about the place. The high point was the staff - they were exceptionally gracious and helpful. What I found amazing was that on Sunday, there was no maid service and no food service. The whole weekend I was there, I kept seeing this very energetic, exceedingly good-looking man everywhere. probably in his 50's who appeared to be in management. I finally introduced myself to him and it turned out he was the Chef Concierge. He asked me how my stay was going and I said "OK." He asked me if there was anything he could do for me. I said "No, it's not something under your control. I just don't like this property very much." He acknowledged that is was an older property and said they have a major renovation planned. I said I'll come back after the renovation. To be fair though, I was there on a group rate and paying quite a bit less than a typical 4-star rate.

If the sheets aren't messed up and I really liked the guy, I leave them on and sleep on them overnight so I can remind myself of how he smelled.

I always tip - unless I didn't enjoy myself. But I don't tip a lot. It's OK with me if providers don't consider me their favorite client - It's not a popularity contest and I don't hire enough to become someone's favorite client.

I read recently that hotel rates are up nationally 25% - Around here, some seem to have doubled, or more. 4 and 5 star properties in Napa and Sonoma counties defy reason - the craziest are charging 2000/night. A few weeks ago, we stayed overnight at a Hampton Inn in Petaluma - it was very nice for a Hampton Inn I admit - but $350.00/night? We paid it because we needed a change of scenery and we ended up having a really enjoyable time in Petaluma, who knew?

‘Homophobic’ first-class passenger arrested in flight attendant assault

They save a lot on me. I usually have water or a single diet coke. Since air travel is such a pain I don't do long trips. -
I have had quite a few group experiences - some really boring and very hot. I would do one again. As a matter of fact, this guy and I have been chatting on a hookup site and he wants to do a threesome.

I think I might have hit 90-95 on I-5. I'm fundamentally a cautious driver - get nervous if I'm driving over 70.

I didn't care that much, I was thinking I was witnessing a First Class phenomenon - people wolfing down the the free drinks in First Class. -

He was a big guy - 6"2' or more and was on the heavy side - easily over 200#. -
I say often that I'm not that into younger men. The exception is that I love cute, skinny, horse-hung twinks. I just saw this guy on RM and he's in San Jose: https://rent.men/XXL_BrenoTwink/#platinum There is already a short thread about him, but it is locked. I think he is perfection.

I got together with a well-known provider in Las Vegas last summer. He initially said he would need a deposit and I said "Sure, that's not a problem, how do you want to handle payment?" When he saw that I was willing to pay the deposit, he ended up waiving it. I appreciated his trust, but I was happy to pay it - I knew I was going to show up and I was confident that he would, so why not pay it?

When I went to Dallas last week, the guy next to me had 4 drinks. He could obviously hold his booze - didn't misbehave or anything, but I thought "4 drinks in two hours? Kind of a lot." But then, I don't drink, so 4 drinks might not seem much to somebody who drinks. But I doubt whether he would have passed a breathylzer after he deplaned. -

I'm surprised at how relatively inexpensive first class is now. I loathe air travel and only use it when I have a very good reason to. The greater availability of first class is changing my attitude the tiniest bit. Now if I can just get TSA to stop requiring me to submit to a frisk because of all the hardware I have inside. -
We just finished watching "Stateless," an Australian series about Australia's detention camps for illegal immigrants. Excellent series - powerful.

This guy is very similar to one of my faves on IG - they might be the same guy - a very sexy Brazilian

That's good news. After I was rejected, I stopped paying attention to it. I'm glad to know that so many other smart consumers are opting out of it. I remember my monthly premium was going to be something like $350.00.

And the Chinese government's position is that a run on the healthcare system would be a disaster, completely crushing it. Given China's enormous population, that seems like a reasonable concern.
-
I applied for it about 7 years ago and they turned me down. I have a clotting problem that I take a blood thinner for and the agent said that would not be a cause for being rejected. I forgot to mention that I have asthma and that turned out to be a deal-killer. My husband has HIV and that, of course, would disqualify him.
