Another principal of evolutionary biology is that most mutations are deleterious - at any given time, a population's adaptation to its environmental niche is as close to perfect as it can get. The fact that a broad range of dick sizes and types may be found in a population means that that is what confers the greatest evolutinary advantage.

I believe the Kaiser Medical School in California is tuition- free

I will have to circle back to that one by myself. We watched a couple episodes together but my husband thought it was tedious.

We just finished watching Broadchurch. It was pretty good - another of those British murder mystery series that takes place in a quiet seaside town. Has an eerie David Lynch flavor. Cute Jonny Bailey of Bridgerton fame has a minor role.

Actually, I think I misunderstood. It seems that Unicorn is talking about two separate functions in this thread.

It should be noted that the party was a fundraiser and that most of the guests were not people he knew very well - they were just there to be separated from their money, so why wouldn't you serve them what they wanted, in the interest of converting someone from prospective to actual donor.

I was in 6th grade. The principal came on the PA system to announce that the president had been shot, but the box in our classroom was out so we didnt hear it. We did hear a sudden commotion in the hall outside the classroom. A girl who had been excused a little early for a doctor appointment or something like that came rushing back in to say that the president had been shot. The teacher slapped her face for saying such a horrible thing. When we went back to school the next week, the teacher apologized to her profusely.

In the months following, the Agency for Civil Defense went around and identified buildings that could serve as fallout shelters after a nuclear attack. They were marked with black-and-yellow signs that indicated the capacity of the shelter and were supposed to be stocked with enough food and water to last for two weeks after the attack. I haven't seen one of those shelter signs in awhile. Everybody talked about building fallout shelters in their backyards. We had one neighbor who actually did it.

Yep - it was a 50s - 60s thing. Now and again, my father would load us all in the car to catch a movie at the drive-in. We absolutely loved it - a real treat. The last drive-in theater in the Bay area was in Union City and closed, I think, in the early 'oughts. I used to drive by it every morning on the way to work, telling myself that we needed to go the drive-in. There's a big shopping mall and a 25-plex there now.

I have seen the photographs. They look pretty sexy in their business attire.

Thanks for catching that. should I edit it, or leave the way it is?

I was scared shitless. I couldn't understand why nobody else seemed to be.

I remember watching the coverage of the integration of Little Rock Central High School on the evening news in 1957. It made absolutely no sense to me - I had about a million questions - who's fighting who - why are they fighting - what are the soldiers doing there, why don't the people want those kids going to school there, etc. etc. I was at my grandparents house, and when I got home, I asked my mother what it was all about. She explained it in a way that I could understand, but I was still dumbfounded

Why wouldn't they? That's the way male teachers dressed for work - jacket and tie. In the classroom, they took their jackets off.

I don't drink wine, so I don't pay much attenton to price, but, I believe, in a pushy wine-country restaurant, it is entirely possible to sink that kind of money into a single glass of wine.
-
That's entertaining. Opening your home to guests requires you to surrender a lot of expectation and control - for example, by saying nothing to a guest who doesn't appreciate that the glass of wine she just wasted would have cost $50.00 in a restaurant .
-
What does it matter? You didn't say "Oh, I'm sorry, we don't have any," a perfectly appropriate thing to do. You went and found some wine, so you obviously considered it your duty, as host, to provide your guests what they wanted. even though you hadn't anticipated it.
-
I don’t entertain on a large scale but I try to anticipate what my guests need/want, so I certainly would have considered whether I should have some wine on hand. At the same time, Im not bothered if my hospitality isn’t perfect. I drink diet coke everywhere I go. Occasionally people don’t have it on hand. I’m fine with something else.

Nice post - enjoyed it.

I saw him about 5 years ago. If you do the math, his stated age just doesn't seem possible, so I was expecting a middle-age guy and that is just what he is. He is handsome and well-kept - slender and nicely-built, not a muscle man, a Top with a big dick. We had a great afternoon - chat, fuck, chat, fuck . . . He's charming and smart, value rates - it's hard to go wrong with him.

Publishing an obituary in a newspaper is very expensive, but there are lots of social media venues that could be used for a lot less money. -
value is in the eye of the beholder, so if you say no escort is worth $1k of your money, that is, effectively, true for you. Note of caution - a fixed attitude like that could cause you to miss the experience of a lifetime.
