  1. I like guys that look like alphas, and I like confident men, but I'm guessing I wouldn't care for a true alpha.
  2. About a year ago, I bought a pair of Frye lace-up boots that are, quite simply, the best shoes I have ever had. I like them so much that I bought another pair of them, so that brings me up to five or six pairs.
  3. 4711-I remember that from when I lived in Germany. I would notice the same subtle, bewitching scent on one German guy after another and I finally figured out it was 4711. Then I bought a bottle myself.
  4. Fragrances are anathema to most gay men in San Francisco. My partner and I are no different. An old friend came to visit a couple years ago. She's lived in Europe for the last 20 years, so is a little out of touch with daily life here. As gifts, she brought each of us a bottle of very nice toilet water - Hermes and Dior. To be polite, we used the toilet water while she was here, and we actually did enjoy it. Now, every once in a while, we put it on when we're going to have sex. The stuff is so strong that we will probably die before we get to the end of the two bottles.
  5. It sounds pretty hot. If the encounter left you unable to classify it, that was a singular experience.
  6. There are treatments for focus problems.
  7. This. What's weird about tattoo threads is how often they devolve into a snide vindictiveness from the tattoo police.
  8. Old is old, whether or not you're tattooed. Its possible that the subject in the photograph may actually enjoy the incongruity of being old and wrinkled and having a tattoo on her back that says "forever 18." You notice that she's wearing a somewhat revealing bathing suit. She may be in deep denial- or she just doesn't care what people think - one of the privileges of aging.
  9. The popularity of tattoos, like the popularity of granite countertops, waxes and wanes. "Everything old is new again."
  10. I can't speak for all people who are tattooed, but I doubt whether most of them are expecting you to comment on them. You just treat them like you would somebody who doesn't have tattoos.
  11. I get LOTS of positive feedback on mine. I guess the people who don't like them have manners enough to keep it to themselves.
  12. I'm fairly heavily-tattooed: quarter-sleeves on both arms and a large back tattoo that covers my entire back. I guess one could say they're a fetish with me.
  13. You might think about limiting cheating to single meals rather than entire days.
  14. I love em. When I was a kid, we went to church at midnight on Christmas Eve. The altar guild had the altars spilling over wirh red poinsettias.
  15. They don't know any better. A lot of people can't tell the difference between a good tattoo and bad one. And a lot of artists don't seem to understand using tattoos to enhance a person's natural musculature.
  16. This came up for me just the other day. I got together with a guy a couple of weeks ago. Just a few days ago, the Facebook algorithm identified us as contacts and sent me his profile, revealing his real identity, as a friend suggestion. I let him know that, and he wasn't upset. It dawned on me just this morning where FB is getting the data. I have the FB Messenger app on my phone. I'm going to uninstall it.
  17. Discretion is key in the escort game. A fundamental rule is that the escort adopts a stage name to protect his privacy. You need to make your peace with this rule. It's nice when an escort trusts you enough to reveal his real name, but it's not something you should push. If you can't observe basic rules in this game, then you should reconsider whether you should be playing it.
  18. I tried that once, I wasn't successful. I read a magazine article that told how to get them to bloom again. You have to regulate the light exposure really carefully. I gathered a bunch of cast off poinsettias and set them up in my "poinsettia clinic." Alas, I must not have regulated conditions carefully enough because I only got one to sort-of bloom again.
  19. Sounds nice.
  20. I always use my real name. I must have an honest face, because most of my hires share their real names with me.
  21. A little bit - some candles and greens, a wreath hanging over the fireplace, Christmas cards displayed, a poinsettia. And another thing I do most years is make a Christmas fruit cake. My mother used to make it. The stuff for it was expensive and didn't fit easily in the food budget, so she started buying the candied fruit and the nuts, a little bit at a time starting in October. I used to do that to, until I realized that I have plenty of money and don't need to scrimp and save in order to be able to afford to buy the groceries for the Christmas fruit cake.
  22. It's amazing what can happen when you start managing carb intake mindfully.
  23. It's no different from hookup sites. If you're not interested, thank them for saying hello and tell them you're not looking.
