Puberty hit early and hard at me - I was 6 foot, 178 pounds when I was fourteen. I remember the grocery checkers asking Mom, "Buying beer for your little brother?" when I tagged along to help get the shopping done- tho Mom was a young-looking 31-year old at that time.

Not a "social encounter", but forever seared in my memory... Senior year high school, I was a candidate for a large scholarship from a major national transportation company. The final interviews were being held in Minneapolis, with the finalists being flown in from all over the country. I was one of two finalists from Washington State ( where my family had moved to two years prior) and rather than fly commercial, they used a private corporate jet to get the two of us there. After the competition, they used the same private plane to get we two home, along with two others being dropped off in Billings,MT.

Boarding the plane, the copilot was checking our identification, to match his passenger list ( the steward had done this on the trip east, don't know why the copilot was doing this for the trip home) and when I presented my fresh drivers license, having just turned 16 two months prior, the copilot took it, looked up at me, and turned ashen. He recognized me from a "car date" we'd had two summers prior - I had immediately recognized him earlier, and was semi-panicked myself - would he recognize me and report me to the company and fuck up my scholarship? As he handed me back my license, he mouthed the word "sixteen?" and just shook his head. I'd not done any more of that since that summer, and not considered anything about those experiences after some time had passed, but I remember thinking- this is what it feels like to have your life flash before your eyes!

Anyway, the flight was uneventful, the copilot must have kept quiet because I got the congratulatory letter and check a couple weeks later, and never saw that man again- the first realization for me that even professional, family men (he had a wedding ring) have urges, and that a wide world of adventures awaited me with scholarships in hand and an acceptance letter to a Bay Area university. Oh, to be 16 again!

Went last night with my FLL Ukrainian companion. We recognized some of the staff, but none of the dancers, bartender Chris told us that the building is slowly being remodeled, in phases. Center and outside bars have been renovated, next up are the restrooms. After that will be the stage and VIP rooms. Most of the crowd was outside, but we didn't stay long- too many unmasked patrons, too close for my comfort.

+ pdxleo got a reaction from + Pensant in How did you begin hiring?
Growing up on a Montana ranch, my brothers and I found out early what was going on when the bull would "ride" the cows and the pony was playing "jump over' on a mare- sex was not much of a mystery when it's going on just outside the kitchen window! Puberty hit early and solid, at age 12 I was 6 foot, 175 pounds, and being told I looked like a college freshman. That year Mom remarried again, we left the ranch and moved in to the city, and I took a morning paper route for savings and spending coins. When the delivery drivers went on strike, the boys had to ride downtown on our bikes -or get the parents up to drive us down in the station wagon - to pick up our delivery bundles. Weekdays Mom would drop off me and my bike at the press plant on her way to work around 5AM and I would bike back and do my route. Saturday and Sunday, tho, I was left to my own devices, and usually rode downtown my self and got my bundle. One Saturday morning in July, I was up way early, and decided to go into town to see if the papers were ready, leaving home around 2 AM.

When I got to the dock, there was just two others waiting for the pressers to open up, one guy I knew a bit, the other a kid from the east end. Like big dumb country kids are wont to do I wandered over to talk to them, and as I did, a Corvette slowly pulled down the street and came to a stop at the alleyway corner. The two guys there looked at the driver, who waved at the eastside guy. Kid goes to the car, gets in, and they drive off. I walk up to the guy I know, and he looks at me a bit sheepishly, and when I ask if the east side guy is not gonna work, he laughs out loud "OH, he's gonna work alright , but just for a half hour" and laughs him self hoarse! Turns out the guy I knew from school had figured out the he'd make a lot more money being downtown after the bars closed and going on "car dates" and then using the paper route as a cover for being out in the middle of the night. The eastside guy had stumbled on to this, just as I had, and was also pulling in extra cash. I promised to keep it quiet, but I'll admit I took a couple of "dates" during that summer, just for fun- tho the cash was always a nice extra! An overgrown 13 year old will let the hormones take over occasionally. When school started that fall, the drivers came back from their strike, the screws tightened at home, and that was the end of "Car dates".

Finally, after getting done with high school and going off to college, I pretty much came to the conclusion that I was bisexual- there were things about sex with girls i liked, and things about sex with guys I liked, so I had a succession of both men and women as my romantic partners, but the idea of paying for it never crossed my mind. About nine years ago, I paired up with a younger guy, smoking hot, but he was severely injured from a high school football injury, so sex was limited, and the thought of hiring began to cross into my consciousness. Unfortunately, the guy passed away in a drowning accident, and I was so shook up I didn't know what to do. I agreed to let an old girlfriend move in with me, and put mansex out of my view for now.

After this gal had been in my house for a bit, I made a move towards being more physical, and her response was that she had given up on intimacy and that part of her life was over! Wish I'd known that before letting her move in, but now I knew that I could seek mansex without guilt or repercussion- but to keep peace at home, I did not "rub her face" with my activity, just kept it out of the house. At the time, I was working for a large sporting goods manufacturer, as a traveling sales display supervisor, setting up on-site displays and microstores at conventions and sporting events. I was on the road two or three times an season. During one long East Coast trip, I found myself in Washington DC with a couple days wait for a shipment of product to catch up with me, so I decided to check out Secrets- tho I had been to Silverado in Portland before, this seemed a bit more wicked, being away from home and, frankly, horny as hell and with a nice Georgetown hotel room all to myself (my work partner would show up in a couple days, and we would share the hotel room as per company policy). So off I went to Half Street. The dancers were all cool, and pretended to be interested when I told them I was from Oregon, just in town for a couple days, working in sporting goods. One dancer stood out, tho- dark, masculine, muscled and tattooed. With no private rooms for lap dances, I had to chat him up during his floor rotation . but by the end of the night, I girded up my loins and asked if he would be interested in getting together the next day.

To my relief, David Benjamin said, "Sure", and we set our appointment. The next day, he met me at my room, pleasantries and considerations were exchanged, and a good time was had by all. I had no idea he was about done with stripping and was moving into porn, and afterward we talked for a good long time- I think he sensed that I was a bit out of practice, and was a true gent, I'll always think kindly of him. So that started my obsession with getting strippers to go the escort route.

Don't get so concerned about the other patrons when you're out in a club - you're there to have a great time and that will always be evident to the dancers. If there's a New York lawyer spending his quarterly bonus on the same night you happen to stop in, he'll get attention, sure. But, you money is the same green color, and, surprise, some performers will enjoy being around a respectful, happy, and fun client. A night out is what you make of it, enjoy yourself!

+ pdxleo got a reaction from Joeyjose in Reopenings - Stag PDX, Portland, OR
After checking out the changes at Silverado, Portland's older gay strip club, I figured it would be wise to scope out the doings at Stag PDX, the newer club. After 5 years in business, but in a much smaller premises, I was curious about the changes they had undergone in order to reopen.

First, of course, they are under the 10pm curfew which all liquor establishments are following, for the rest of the year probably. So, their dancers are performing 6 to 10 pm. Club entry requires a temperature test with a scanner, a spritz of hand sanitizer, and acceptance of a written card explaining the COVID regulations being followed in the club. No cover on a Wednesday night- $5 on Friday and Saturday. Inside the club, social distancing is enforced with staggered seating for about 25 patrons. The service bar is roped off and you must stand away from the bar after getting your drink order- no loitering at the bar, they are looking for you to get your drink, and then take a seat in the stage area. They do provide four seating areas at the stage rail, right where the dancers are performing, as well as seven or eight seating groups along the wall and in front of the lap dance booths. With Wednesday being amateur night, there were a couple of groups there to cheer on their friends having their first onstage experience.

With only having been reopened for a couple of weeks, some of the old time regular dancers were not yet returned. All the faces were new to me- at least what you can see of their faces. All dancers and staff were masked up, patrons must have masks on while moving about the club, OK to unmask when seated at a table. People here are used to the mask practice, and I saw no resistance to the policy from any patron. Favorite dancer for me was Venus, a slim, buzz cut flexible honey. Athletic dance with a fine butt, took my breath away just a wee bit. Next was Andreas, a fair skinned, dark haired European, (couldn't place the accent, Portuguese or Malta, maybe?) thickly muscled and active. My favorite amateur was King, a stocky Blond rugby type- a bit chunky but not afraid to work the pole and jump around.

One of the things I've always appreciated about Stag is their open acceptance concerning persons in transition, both FTM and MTF. One of the amateurs that night was Lily, a transitioning MTF person performing, even with their breasts being bandaged from a recent medical procedure. It's a brave choice to to that work while "under construction", and that is appreciated. Unfortunately, what I didn't appreciate was the lack of full nudity from any of the 12 dancers working. It may he been because it was amateur night, or the fact of a small house crowd, but when I go to a strip club, the "strip" part is important.

I did take two dancers to the lap dance booths- $20 plus tip for 5 mins, and no nudity but both guys were appreciate and active, almost to a fault. Both dancer and patron have to be masked, and hand sanitized after you leave the booth.

All in all, I'm glad I went, tho disappointed with the lack of nudity. We'll have to see if that is an anomaly due to the current circumstance, of a change in club philosophy in general. Stay tuned....
