  1. If I'm following you correctly, the frustration isn't so much about where you live but when you visit somewhere that when you contact escorts who advertise in the area that it turns out they aren't actually there. I get your point -- it happens where I live quite often and is sometimes obvious because the ad will give a variety of areas where the escort will be over a several weeks' long period, with the entire duration listed for each destination. There are also men who live an hour's drive away who have ads as if they live in my city, and while they may be willing to travel to me there is no indication in many ads that if I wanted to do an in call that they are actually not that close to me. My suggestion to you: Just contact men in advance if you have a trip planned and you are browsing ads in advance of the trip. Assuming you get timely responses, at least you would know before you arrive who's actually available in the area.
  2. You believe that nonsense? Sounds like something out of the 1950s.
  3. I'm not an escort, but I can state with certainly that sometimes texts can go undelivered even though you do not realize it on your end. I have sat side by side with a couple of friends, looked at their Hangouts of Messages conversations with me, and discovered messages that were obviously sent by one party that are not displayed on the other party's device, without any icon or warning that the text was unsuccessful. It's one reason why I know not to assume that a lack of response to a single text means anything; it could just mean that the other person didn't even receive the text. And, of course, this doesn't even address the other issue: if someone received multiple texts at the same time, some might be noticed but forgotten almost immediately. One traveling escort who visits my area frequently always sends me texts when he's visiting, but he tends to do so in the middle of a weekday when I'm at work and cannot open his texts since he tends to send nude photos along with his travel plans. Since I dismiss the text, I frequently don't even remember getting one from him by the time my work day is over. (Not that it matters in terms of me hiring him again as that's unlikely to happen anyway for other reasons.)
  4. I have been aware of this guy for a long time but have never hired him. To my knowledge, he has been asked about here a few times before but since he has changed names at least a few times it's difficult to find the previous discussions. For someone so attractive it's surprising that none of the threads resulted in people who hired him singing his praises. I'm not saying he received negative feedback. Rather it's as if no one who reads this forum has hired him, even though he's been around a long time. He does have some reviews on Daddy's, though only two are available to read and they are both from first time reviewers. Look for Billy in San Jose. Even though some of his ads make it appear that he lives in San Francisco, I think the ones that indicate his location is San Jose are probably correct since older ads always indicated a willingness to travel to San Francisco, not to host here. It's that that has probably caused me not to hire him because I am generally reluctant to have guys I haven't met come to my place and I am disinclined to take the train to San Jose (and then a cab to someone's house) unless I'm sure it will be an excellent experience. Some of his previous (or maybe current, on other websites) names: Billy, Ricky, BiLatin Ricky. I really wish some forum regular(s) would hire him and either post new reviews or some feedback here. I would make the trip to see him if I knew for certain he was worth it since I find his photos so sexy.
  5. Obviously people are interpreting the word "legendary" in different ways. I don't even consider someone who's done a lot of porn whom I find incredibly hot to necessarily be legendary, but that seems to be the definition a lot of posters are using.
  6. It surprises me that no one has yet mentioned Joey Stefano. At one point, he was the "it" bottom boy in porn. Though I never found him that appealing, of the men listed so far I have to acknowledge that Jeff Stryker was legendary. Brent Corrigan probably belongs in the group, too, since his beginning while underaged ultimately led two other sick men to murder the studio producer working with Brent, and that story was ultimately made into a movie. And Jack Wrangler definitely belongs in the group; for those who haven't seen the documentary about him, it's quite fascinating. Though I don't know that I could call him legendary, of the others listed I have to acknowledge my fascination with John Davenport. Not the most handsome (though still cute), but he was so sexy with his ability to shoot copious amounts of cum long distances. I have always admired men who can shoot like that.
  7. If the escort slipped something into the tequila, I think it was probably something other than ecstasy. You haven't described experiencing any of the psychological effects which cause some people to want to use E, namely the euphoric, horny, want-to-be-loving-towards-everyone trip. A lot of drugs can cause the symptoms you described, but the first widely used "party" drug that occurs to me is meth.
  8. If you are trying to suggest that David is much more attractive than Neil, I beg to differ. They are both sexy men.
  9. Even though you are so far the lone voice in this thread to cite this reason, it's the first thing I thought of as well. In previous generations it would be obvious if someone was taking a photo. Today someone can appear to be simply using one's phone and take surreptitious photos of strangers. Those photos can then be shared online quite easily without the subject's knowledge or permission. Perhaps these young men were simply trying to prevent having naked photos of themselves presented for the world to see.
  10. Probably not. Not to derail this thread into politics any further than it's already gone, but Clinton won the Coachella Valley as a whole with about 75% of the vote. (Source: https://www.desertsun.com/story/news/politics/elections/2016/12/07/desert-voted-overwhelmingly-clinton-and-weed/95111550/) And if that's the numbers of the entire valley, then I assume that the men who are hiring masseurs probably voted for Clinton in an even larger margin since gay men, as a whole, trend towards the Democratic Party over the GOP.
  11. Whatever it is, if the masseurs in question are actually doing massage as a profession versus some side gig to make a little money here and there it certainly reveals a lack of sense and professionalism. Why pay for an ad and then ignore potential customers for no reason? I have previously read that some guys won't reply if they cannot do so within a fairly short period of time because they assume you will have moved on to someone else anyway, but (a) I think that makes more sense for escorts and masseurs and (b) it doesn't even make much sense for escorts, either, unless the inquiry clearly requests not to get a response unless the escort is available within a certain time frame.
  12. Sorry to hear that. In my experience, unless the diarrhea is related to food poisoning (which in most people resolves itself fairly quickly) or a minor illness the symptoms do not go away until treated. The good news -- again, from my experience; I am not a doctor -- is that if you do have some sort of parasitic or other infection that's causing this, you will feel significantly better within the first 24 hours of taking the medication (but be sure to take the entire course that's prescribed since the problem may return with a vengeance if you do not completely eliminate the infectious agent). The time to eat yogurt and other foods with "good" gut bacteria is after your treated since, unfortunately, these medications kill the good along with the bad.
  13. That's too bad since different medications are used to treat different types of infections. I can understand prescribing something immediately, before the infectious agent is known, if the symptoms are severe and presenting medical risks or are just extremely difficult to live with because that happened to me once. Turns out that the doctor's initial guess was wrong, though, so I ended up being prescribed something different after the stool samples were analyzed. Taking both Cipro and then Flagyl is not pleasant, so if it's possible to wait for treatment until test results are done that would be my recommendation.
  14. Wrong. The average gestational period for Giardia (meaning the time between exposure and developing symptoms) is 7 days, though you might notice almost immediately or it can take weeks. Seriously, it's just a stool sample or two ordered by your doctor to detect if you have anything that needs to be treated. No big deal.
  15. If you have a parasite, it should be eliminated through appropriate treatment. They don't just go away on their own.
  16. It looks like you are misreading the chart you linked. When I clicked it, I saw two tables. In the top, the month of July is selected. The bottom table shows data for the month selected. That data does not tell you the total number of days Palm Springs reached 120 or more. It shows you the record high for each date in question, and if you count the record highs in July you get your 16 days of 120 degrees. That does not mean, however, that those days where the record high was at least 120 degrees didn't also reach 120 degrees or more during a different year on the same month and day and, of course, that data is only showing July. If you click June, you will see six days where the record high was at least 120. August has 9 such days. I would give you the count for September but the website seems to have a glitch preventing that data from loading, though it's clear from the top chart that there were some days in September where the temperature reached at least 120 degrees. So now were up to at least 31 days of the year where the temperature in Palm Springs has reached at least 120 degrees and, to repeat, that doesn't mean that those same days of the year haven't been that hot during multiple years. While it's true that the average high is not close to 120 degrees, if you look at a different site such as weatherunderground where you can see the recorded high for each day going back at least a year, you will see that it's pretty common in Palm Springs to have stretches in the summer where the high temperature is 120 degrees, plus or minus a few degrees. It isn't like it's a rare occurrence that it gets that hot there. Yes, maybe I was unlucky during my one summer trip there but I know what I experienced first hand: Every day I was there had a high temperature close to 120 degrees, and some days exceeded that temperature. Before that trip, I think the hottest temperature I had ever experienced was between 105 and 110 degrees so I didn't think that the heat in Palm Springs would bother me so much, but that extra 10 to 15 degrees made a huge difference. I basically hated being outside, and even the nighttime lows weren't low enough to provide any respite. It was just freaking HOT 24/7. It's 3:30 am as I post this and I see the current temperature in Palm Springs is 92 degrees. When the nighttime lows are still over 90 degrees you know it's hot.
  17. I see Ollie is also visiting Los Angeles and Palm Springs. https://rentmen.eu/ItsOllie
  18. I just happened to watch on Amazon Prime a short documentary on male strippers, and it ended up being solely about guys at Swinging Richards. Curious about what had been posted here about the club, I decided to search for previous threads. I'm glad I saw your comment because I was aghast at what one dancer said when running through the list of charges for a private dance. He gave prices for various intervals up to an hour, and while I don't remember all of the prices the hourly rate was close to $500 -- with a portion going to the bar and the rest to the stripper. And he stressed that it was all about "fantasy" and that the dancers there have strict limits about their physical interactions. Now I don't know if what he was saying was true for all dancers, but he gave me the impression that the place was really all about look but don't touch. For $500, who would want that? The only time I've paid for a private show was with a guy at Anthropology in Puerto Vallarta with whom I became immediately smitten. I really only paid for the 10 minute private show so I could interact with him enough to see if I wanted to ask him for some time away from the club. I negotiated a very reasonable rate for him to visit my hotel. I don't remember what Anthropology's cost was for a private dance, but it certainly wasn't over-the-top ridiculous like Swinging Richards. And at Anthropology the guys are basically begging you to touch them as soon as they approach you because they are working hard (pun intended) for tips. Did the documentary on Swinging Richards (I think it's called All Male, All Nude) give a false impression about the limits of customers' interactions with dancers while at the club? The only hint at any kind of interaction beyond a casual touch while putting a tip in an armband was from a straight-identified dancer who was clearly not happy about being a stripper who said that when he looks back on this part of his life he will be amazed at the sorts of things he was willing to do at the club for money.
  19. I only visited once during the height of summer. I found the weather truly horrible. Most days were around 120 degrees and it was still ridiculously hot outside well after dark. If I recall correctly, it was still over 100 degrees around 10 at night. If I decided to move there as a retiree I'd be desperately trying to figure out ways to get away for as much of the summer as possible. I like the weather there during the spring and fall, though -- very warm during the day but cools off at night. Beyond the weather, I like Palm Springs. Some nice restaurants, some nice places to hike in the area, and just generally a feeling of a pleasant small city. Then again, I've been suffering through the decline of San Francisco for the past three decades and, at this point, I think I'd rather live almost anywhere else that has a sizable gay population than here. San Francisco has truly become a dump.
  20. To each his own. I found her performance one of the weakest on the show.
  21. To be fair, a lot of those search results are for threads that simply discuss Sean Cody or Corbin Fisher models, not whether they escort. In response to the OP's question, Ollie of Sean Cody currently has a RM ad. I only know this because he posted travel plans to come to San Francisco soon.
  22. The show was discussed here when it was first on. The ratings were probably poor because the show was generally not that good. I watched it anyway, but a lot of the writing and some of the acting was painfully awkward.
  23. Exactly. This bullshit has been going on for decades -- even before people were using the internet for hookups. I had a friend about 30 years ago who got strung along by someone through the mail. (Remember the days of personal ads in newspapers where you would reply to a PO Box set up by the newspaper?) They corresponded, the guy wanted to share underwear and explicit photos through the mail, and so on. He sent to my friend a photo of an extremely hot looking man, claimed to live in the Castro district of San Francisco yet was not out to anyone and had never had sex with anyone yet, which was his alleged rationale for wanting to take things slowly before meeting. None of the rest of our circle of friends believed this guy's story since it just seemed so far fetched, but my friend went along with it for weeks. My friend finally learned that the guy was actually someone three decades older who wasn't particularly attractive who just liked playing games with people. That's probably the most extreme situation I recall hearing about, but I know that I had to learn early on to detect time wasters before I wasted too much time.
  24. The top person -- I don't know exactly but it was nearly every month for several years, so I'm guessing somewhere in the ballpark of 100. Second place is probably around 10.
  25. Or maybe no one has come up with effective interventions? I know I don't have an answer for this.
