Sorry to hear you were scammed, and by someone you had previously hired more than once. I don't understand why someone would willingly ruin an ongoing client relationship for the equivalent of what he makes in an hour or two. Maybe drugs are involved?

Am I the only one who gets a negative association seeing this guy's name? I get that he's intending it to be read Stud Sylis, but unless his name is actually Sylis it seems odd to have chosen that because combined with a prefix it just makes me think of syphilis.

I agree that what's unusual about this situation is that he only wanted to be paid for the hour and 15 minutes he was there versus your agreed upon fee. I highly commend him for that since a lot of guys seem to think it's okay to short on time as long as the client has an orgasm. If you enjoyed your time despite his cutting it short, then just keep hiring him with the knowledge that maybe your appointment won't last 2 hours. Or have a discussion with him about wanting a full two hour experience and ask him to either slow things down at the beginning or spend time in the afterglow. Maybe he's just not the kind of guy who wants to do either of those things, though, so if you still find what he did provide pleasurable then just accept what he has to offer and enjoy yourself while spending less money.

Is it possible that either something in your texts makes him decide not to reply to you (not suggesting you're doing anything "wrong" necessarily but there could be all sorts of reasons why an escort might choose not to reply to certain prospective clients) or he was simply already busy when you texted? He sounds like a reasonable kind of guy by setting expectations so that he isn't confronted by some guy who thinks that just because he's young he should be able to be a fountain of cum all night long if that's what the client wants. Better to under promise and over deliver.

When I used to visit Puerto Vallarta regularly, I generally hired guys I just met on the beach or at a bar. There's a way to engage in this negotiation subtly, I think, so as not to raise the ire of some guy who's offended by being offered services for money who then might complain to cruise employees and cause trouble for you. Surely some horny cruise goers will gawk at you and you can engage in conversations that reveal your availability under the right circumstances.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who found that comment odd. Yes, it may bruise your ego to confront the reality that the guy you paid to be with you obviously doesn't want to be with you without getting paid, but hopefully every client understands that in advance. I know some guys post here that they pay just for the "convenience" or because they'd rather pay than spend time cruising (in person or online) to find someone. I'm not denying that that could be the case for some clients, but even if that describes the client he should be okay that he paid and others aren't because he did precisely what he claimed to be okay with -- hiring for expediency.

The problem is that it's difficult to know exactly what people experienced during their appointments. Did they really pay $350 for an hour of massage with a happy ending, or did they actually hire someone as an escort who has ads on Rent.men and Rentmasseur but chose to write the review on Rentmasseur because they aren't a paying Rent.men client?

Maybe. Then again, maybe not. I just noticed his ad and, naturally, came here to see if he had been discussed. After reading the above, I checked his ad again. Though he lists his position as "versatile/top," I see that the only services he has listed are stripping, bodywork and boyfriend experience. Maybe he does more than that with at least some clients, but I wouldn't take the risk with so little information in his ad about what he's actually offering. His only written text, "Have a victorious time with an asian twink," only furthers my suspicion that what he normally offers is what was described by TennisPro35 above.

Obviously there are scammers out there (both providers and clients). What gives me pause are claims that a specific provider is a scam artist when it's just based on someone replying to an ad, paying a deposit and then not having a meeting. It's so easy to run an ad using stolen photos that unless someone has some other way to verify that the ad was placed by the guy in the photos I tend to keep an open mind. Then again, I agree with azdr0710's comment above: no deposits. That at least prevents one type of scam from happening.

Does this provider even want that much cash? Maybe he does, but maybe he'd prefer it to be transferred to him electronically. I would never do a transfer to someone I didn't know well, but it sounds like you know this guy well so that would be my preferred way to pay as long as the provider agreed.

I'd say you are putting the cart before the horse. Just because someone came up as a "match" on a dating website doesn't indicate there will be any mutual interest. I used to get lots of fake matches when I was on OKCupid. That's one of the tricks those platforms use to keep people signed up. Or maybe he's playing the same con man game on a website: You chat, you think there's potential, you chat some more, and then he asks for money and you never meet. I hope my cynicism is wrong, that you contact him and hit it off. I also don't see why you would bring up this past non-encounter, though, since you never even met him. For all you know some other person conned you out of money by fraudulently using this guy's photos.

I added the "don't contact me for more information" signature to my profile here after I kept getting private messages (years after I posted positive comments about a masseur) asking for more details about my experience with that provider. I just didn't understand why anyone would think I'd have more details to add after so much time had passed, and the provider in question was still actively being discussed publicly (both pro and con) so there were clearly other forum members with more recent experience with him. I also generally feel like what I'm willing to share with a stranger is what I've already posted publicly, particularly when it comes to a masseur versus an escort.

I noticed he added espresso from a Mocha pot, which generally makes very hot espresso. It might be that the egg yolk mixture is being heated enough by the espresso. Or maybe he buys pasteurized eggs. Of course, some people do simply take the risk of eating undercooked or raw eggs. I don't scoff at dishes where the egg yolk is runny. My main issue with this video is that this guy is calling what he drinks coffee. It looks like it has nearly as much egg yolk, sugar, and liqueur as espresso. If he added a small amount of cream, he'd basically be drinking ice cream mix before it was churned and frozen.

I generally think relying on Rentmen reviews makes no sense unless you can look at the individual reviewers and determine that they are legit. Two reviews is definitely too little to mean much of anything. That being said, I think the risk of a Rentmen ad being law enforcement entrapment is lower than the risk of it just being a con man trying to extract money from people without performing any service.

I hadn't previously heard of "MassageBook," but it turns out it's a specific site where some people advertise. Interestingly, in my area at least, it isn't the same providers who advertise on other massage sites. It very well may be a legit provider and that's just how the site MassageBook works (collecting $$$ upfront and a percentage goes to the site?), but I don't see anything on the site which would cause me to think that every provider there is necessarily honest and thus can be trusted. By that I mean it seems to me a complete scammer could use that site just like he could any other. Since I also have a no-deposit rule, I wouldn't book through that site.

It depends on how far out the misrepresentation was. If the guy is reasonably similar (maybe just slightly heavier or older or something), I've frequently just gone through with the appointment. If the misrepresentation is more significant, I simply tell them that they don't resemble the person I contacted and I leave without paying anything. Fortunately I have only had to do that a couple of times. I want to address one of the things you mentioned, though: rotten teeth. This is the kind of thing that I think deserves extra consideration on the part of the client before hiring someone if the straightness of someone's teeth is going to turn them off such that they want to cancel the appointment. I'm not referring to literally rotting teeth that would make someone's breath horrible. I think that if this is important to you then hire only guys who have at least one photo showing their smile with an open mouth, or ask them about it before hiring them. I don't think it's a misrepresentation for an escort to fail to mention in his ad that he could benefit from orthodontia; he might not really be bothered by his teeth and doesn't really think about how others might perceive them. This isn't like how much body fat someone has; that's going to be somewhat apparent, even if the guy is clothed, as long as he has recent photos.
