as many do - when I first started I charged slightly below market rate, you need time to build up confidence, get some reviews under your belt and then you can start charging market rate. Clients are typically wary of new guys - it's a gamble to see them as opposed to someone with established presence.

Is this even a question that needs to be asked? If you have to remind a provider to take a shower, they shouldn't be doing this job. It's just common courtesy to show up clean and fresh for your clients.

Don't go there.
Unless the provider explicitly suggests that himself, always remember this is his job, and he owes you no more than what you agreed for the time involved. If you want to have a meal with him or spend the night, you should arrange that in advance, for an appropriate fee.

If your main aim is to impress a provider, THE sure way is by giving him excessively massive cash tips - or a high end jewelry or a watch. No one will say no to a Patek.

As far as accomodatiob, now this is where I would splurge. Pick your accomodation based on what you plan to do in the evening....do you need a bathtub? Jacuzzi? King size bed (for obvious reason)? Balcony (for late night talk before bed or smoke)? Extra spacey room (for 3s)? 24hr room services? Good sound proofing (especially for rough play)? Good room service (for extra towels)? Full set kitchen (I once cook late night snack after play with provider)? Or private pool (for overnight)?
IMO for consideration, a suite in a 4 stars might be a better option than a standard room in a 5stars. A service apartment (that operates like a hotel) is also often a great option.
 

At only $400 for a session, one can't expect much more than a $100 hotel.  If one is picky, then one should book and pay for the hotel himself, giving the full $300 rate to the escort for him to keep and not have to pass on to the hotel.

A smart provider is going to know how much he can afford to spend on a hotel room and still make money.  I don't begrudge someone staying at a more affordable hotel, even if he's charging at or near the top of the average range, as long as the hotel is decent.  I certainly don't think it's going to help an escort perform better if he's worried about getting at least four clients every day just so he can pay for the room and other travel costs and have a bit left over for profit.  I don't want to go to a flop house in the worst neighborhood (though honestly one of my hottest appointments was with a traveling guy in a motel in a not very nice area), and beyond the initial reaction to a room in a luxury hotel once I'm in bed with someone I'm not thinking about the view or anything else related to the room as long as the room is decent enough to facilitate a good experience.  I can understand that if you are staying overnight in a hotel that you might want something upscale, but for an hour where presumably you are enjoying someone's company?  Who cares.
