  1. This looks stereotypical. Hard pass.
  2. And that he did it while traveling the world was what was most impressive. He chose hotels specifically for their internet connections. Always cable modems. I remember being with him one night when the internet went down at a Knightsbridge hotel and we quickly moved to a reliable connection in Earls Court so that he could make sure the site was updated.
  3. This is why YOU are on PrEP. Only you can guarantee your own health. It's Russian Roulette relying on someone else to be responsible for your sexual health.
  4. He might not have needed it, but he was incredibly savvy in making the site profitable from nearly the beginning. The costs associated with running the site back then were astronomical, mostly bandwidth related. The original M4M was a well-run business that made a tidy monthly profit.
  5. Well, as it seems you're not going to hire this guy, you need not worry. But thankfully... Lots of fish in the sea
  6. Massive? Based on the newer watchmakers out there, Rolex is now practically considered streamlined I was gifted a Tag as a travel watch, but it's so heavy and large, that I rarely wear it. I really dislike oversized watches.
  7. Cartier makes a beautiful watch, as does Hermes. One of my favorites is the classic Hermes Clipper. I own three Rolexes but they're so persnickety about keeping time and needing regular servicing, that they usually just stay in a safe and I forget about them. I'm not a huge Chanel person otherwise, but their J12 line of timepieces are beautiful and built like fucking tanks. I have two of them (a dive watch and a standard ceramic) and over the years they've taken a beating. They still look brand new.
  8. Spa Castle in College Point is always busy, not cruisey. Big difference.
  9. There are several existing threads here about a 2-1-1 PrEP schedule. Is it 100% anything? No. What is does do is require more thinking about when/where and how. Unlike the simplicity of one a day, with 2-1-1 you've got to keep up with a specific pill schedule. Some people can easily handle this, while others can't even follow a one-and-done without threat of missing doses. It's really about what works best for you. PrEP remains 99% effective against the transmission of HIV and reaches maximum protection at around 7 days after daily use.
  10. These you will see at an increasing number of shows in the future. The systems have gotten more efficient and it's now easy to keep your device with you- locked in the case- and have an usher quickly unlock at intermission and/or as you're exiting the theatre. If people can't be trusted to sit quietly for two hours, then these pouches are a necessary evil. I've had entirely too many Broadway and touring shows ruined due to asshole audience members who answer calls, send texts, take video/pics during the production.
  11. It's not really. Just in America. And from the sounds of it, they have a built in audience of men who will see it just for the nude scenes and have zero connection to the book otherwise.
  12. https://www.anythinggoesmusicalcinema.com/ Sutton Foster and the West End revival cast of Anything Goes will hit select movie theaters this weekend for showings. The filming was beautifully done, along the same quality as 42nd Street a few years back.
  13. Anyone who says 'big city' and 'high life' is suspect to begin with. It's the classic lingo of someone who's intimidated by both. Everyone deserves to live the life they want and if they can afford to, even better. I agree that investing wisely is the way to go. I'd also suggest to not turn-and-burn yourself into premature age. This is, after all, an image based business. Spend some money on upkeep. It will pay for itself many, many times over. The fascinating thing about this business is that it balances so often on power exchanges. When you find success as an escort and are fortunate enough to keep that going over time, you will lose a portion of potential clients. What you hopefully learn is that you never really want that kind of client to begin with.... The guys who only wish you well when you're hat-in-hand.
  14. This is an interesting observation about the show's numbers: https://www.showbiz411.com/2022/03/16/good-news-bad-news-for-hbos-the-gilded-age-its-found-an-audience-but-not-a-desirable-one
  15. This is why I always pack a carrier pigeon in my checked bag.
  16. The same can be said for airlines and the lack of (working) power ports on their equipment. Always carry your own power bank(s). For me, Anker makes some of the best. If you travel through airports a lot, it's a must-pack that can save you from having to sit on a floor or power down mid-flight.
  17. Stop thinking about Margaret Thatcher
  18. Krystal is the southern version of White Castle. They're fucking delicious. I'd have taken that invite.
  19. Pujol is still impressive. I was there a few weeks ago and they've lost no polish. Their omakase taco bar, a separate concept within Pujol itself, is pretty awesome as well.
  20. TripAdvisor ain't what she used to be. There's a lot of background politics, pay to play positive reviews and competitors submitting negative reviews. It's about as reliable these days as Yelp. Gran Cuidad has needed a soft/hard refurb for years. The stained glass lobby is a beaut and I highly suggest a visit, but to stay there would be not ideal. Between the lack of soundproofing on the Zocalo side and the general state of the property, you can do better. Zocalo Central Umbral Hotel Historical And while I can't recommend staying there, go for a drink and a bite at Downtown Mexico. It's right off the Zocalo and their rooftop bar is relaxed and beautiful. Take the stairs to go up. It's a beautiful, old building with a lot of fun nooks and crannies. http://www.downtownmexico.com/index.html
  21. I think those who weren't raised around a predominantly Jewish community won't totally get this show. There I said it Seriously... It reminds me so much of the neighborhoods I grew up in (although I was an Irish catholic), it brings me a sense of comfort watching Maisel. I get the rhythms of the script. The line pickups in the show are just terrific. Sure, there's some stereotype at play, but it's done with so much love that I can't find fault with it. COVID played hell with this current season, leaving production to stay mostly in the NYC area. From a design perspective alone, the show is a brilliant snapshot from the past. The set design for the burlesque joint was incredible.
  22. I mean, the show is garbage with a great budget, but it's entertaining garbage. Nowhere near the writing quality and acting prowess of Downton, but still watchable for sure. I'd reckon it's the largest cast of Broadway actors we've seen in one mainstream show. That's always fun. The scenes shot on-location are beautiful. If you're an architectural or design/decor nerd, this is a superb show.
  23. If you think the strategy will work, give it a shot. The worst thing that happens is you go back to announcements. No harm, no foul. In terms of which cities are going to be fruitful for you, I'd say look at the places where people are traveling to frequently for work. There are several cities where convention business is back in decent swing. There's also something to be said for a soft rebrand. Look at your website, socials, etc and see if you can tweak anything to make it pop, better understood and simply more engaging. Always remember that less is more. Keep it simple, clean and clear. I'm sorry you're dealing with all of this shit. It can run you ragged after awhile.
