  1. First, bullfuckingshit doesn't need a capital 'F' in there. I believe that's AP style norm 😉 Second and most to the point, I wasn't referring to the OP in my reply. If I were, I'd have replied directly to the original post.
  2. Yup. They have a great setup. You're about three feet above the guy sucking your dick and you have multiple screens to watch while it's happening.
  3. pot. kettle. black. If one of the mods doesn't like it, they can ask me to delete it or take it down themselves. Sometimes people don't like hearing the truth. But it's still the truth.
  4. Great article on this plague. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/automatic-standing-ovations-plague-the-west-end-mnh33jbb2
  5. People don't take kindly to bluntly commoditizing other people, even escorts. Times have indeed changed.
  6. Agree. Too many went for clever, campy or play-on-word names. While this might appeal to this group or generation who finds these things amusing, this site needs to think ahead to the future generation of younger users who would see it as clunky and old fashioned.
  7. Overall travel card will give you a wider span of benefits. How much do you travel... ie, mileage a year? Are you open to all hotels or prefer to stick to one brand? Depending, I'd say a Chase Sapphire or Amex Platinum, if you travel enough to use the benefits. The new Cap One Venture X is decent. A lot of people are getting one just to access their new airline lounges. You also need to figure out if you're going to carry a balance or use it more like a charge card. For me, my biggest consideration is promo APR.
  8. Yep. Got my second booster earlier this month. If I can and it's not going to hurt me, why not? I started the vax process very early on due to regularly being in the presence of someone who was elderly and immunocompromised. This latest booster was really only about 2.5 months early, so I took the opportunity when I got it.
  9. That the OP hasn't been back to keep spreading around his black cloud should be looked at as a welcome thing. He embodied his screen name. He was lonely because he had the personality of dryer lint.
  10. That's because the British don't stand for anyone (and I appreciate that). A standing ovation, warranted or not, is what Broadway audiences think they need to do these days. It's ridiculous monkey see, monkey do. West End doesn't do that or entrance applause. I respect that.
  11. Lenk is entirely too weak for this show. The West End version was a stronger cast.
  12. Jesse Green's NYT review was spot on. Saw the show this past week and the only thing I can say for $550/seat was that it was underwhelming and miscast. Jackman isn't my thing. He doesn't sing. He bleats in the same nasal, dulcet tone. He never creates a character, but instead plays himself. Simply bad directing. Sutton I like, but her voice is completely wrong for this show. Marian's high notes should be effortless and soaring, but instead these sound forced and too brassy. The humor is there, but the character development is not. Cheap-looking sets. Odd tempos in classic songs. Changes to the book to accommodate the woke generation. If they gave this production to Bartlett Sher, it would have been better by leaps and bounds. What I now choose to remember is the 2000 revival of Music Man, with the excellent Craig Bierko and Rebecca Luker... Both actors who knew EXACTLY what show they were doing and did it beautifully. It also helped that it was all under the direction of Susan Stroman.
  13. Schitt's is good, but Letterkenny on Hulu is better. It's smarter, faster and if it's eye candy you're after, they have it.
  14. Not a fan of TNs J seating. It's not comfortable for people over 6' tall. Now, Air France in La Premiere to Paris... That's a whole world of incredible.
  15. This site doesn't survive on thoughts & prayers. It's about time this site starts thinking like a business. I'm fully supportive of it.
  16. Some of us have to keep flying, pandemic or not. It's just a part of what we do. While my airline mileage has gone down over the last 15 months, I'm still going to do 140k miles this year with American. After awhile, masking up becomes second-nature and if you can find a good stockpile of KN95s, they're easy to wear for long periods of time, even sleeping. Ambien and a couple glasses of red also help.
  17. I know it's only February, but can we start nominations for Most Uncomfortable Post of 2022 yet?
  18. Ah, that's the problem. You don't go for a hotel in Anna Maria. You take a house. The hotels there are a little backwater.
  19. The most depressing, lilly-white event I've ever had the misfortune of going to. 30 minutes was enough for me.
  20. Wow. That's quite a video. It's odd that people with this kind of money go for the full chop and implant when there are a ton of less permanent alternatives that allow you to see the change, but go back to baseline when it wears off (or is dissolved). Fillers, placed well, can change nearly anything about the face. Neurotoxin, placed well, can lift a face, as well as smooth it out. Unless you've let yourself go to complete and total hell, you can fix a lot with a couple of trips to a derm/plastic who knows what they're doing injecting the right product.
  21. A lot of folks saved money during COVID, leaving them somewhat flush with cash and are now wanting to spend it. The demographic of a KW tourist has changed drastically in the 20 years I've been a semi-resident on the island. What was once a gay mecca is now squarely becoming a Southern version of Panama City Beach. Pulling back on the cruise ships have helped ease the packed feeling, but it's still busy. Service standard is laid back (as always), but never what I would consider sloppy or bad. KW just moves at its own pace. Young people aren't KW's demographic anymore. They go to Miami. A lot of my most favorite 'little' spots in FL are now overrun. Anna Maria/Bradenton was a nice place to get some peace and quiet with stunning beaches, but that's gone. Parts of St Pete still have charm. I like Destin, but the PCB crowd is edging into it and it's all becoming one big Hooters.
  22. The island has had these prices since the beginning of COVID and it's not likely to change. There's no such thing as 'low season' in KW anymore. I spend a considerable amount of time there and in the last two years, it's always packed. Always. Being a local without considerable income is difficult when you have $4k rents for 2br/2bath houses. For $2k, you can get a guesthouse studio that doesn't even have a full-size fridge and just a microwave oven. The silver lining is for those who own property and have seen their values skyrocket. If you choose to sell, a house in KW is only sitting for 5-7 days before closing. All cash. It's wild.
  23. Agree. Even during the worst of lockdown, there was always a way to stay in shape. People willfully stopped giving a shit about their health. They just used COVID as the excuse.
