Survivor Season 36: Ghost Island
+ poolboy48220 replied to + Avalon's topic in TV and Streaming services
Entertainment Weekly (ew.com) does a detailed recap every week, by Dalton Ross. He's been doing it for years, he knows the show very well (he's often on location with them) and he's very funny. -
23 Behaviors Of A Gentleman That Every Man Should Adopt
+ poolboy48220 replied to + Avalon's topic in The Lounge
According to Miss Manners, the person who issues the invitation pays. I first read that in one of her books sometime in the 80's, it's not a new thing. -

Star of Grey's Anatomy comes out
+ poolboy48220 replied to Rick Munroe's topic in TV and Streaming services
Well, it DOES serve to keep all the information about "Grey's Anatomy" in one thread, rather than two separate threads. *Disclaimer: This is no way indicates that I am a fan of the show "Grey's Anatomy". I think I watched two episodes, must have been at least 12 years ago. -
I agree, that looks like I'd enjoy that.

Prince Frederic Von A-Hole to auction all of Zsa Zsa's stuff
+ poolboy48220 replied to EZEtoGRU's topic in The Lounge
My aunt, my mother's youngest sister, had dementia for years. My cousin said at my mother's funeral that she didn't plan on telling her mother that my mother had died. "She wouldn't remember it, but she'd remember being sad, and she wouldn't know why she was sad". -
I remember when she guest hosted on SNL, they put her in these huge stiletto heels that she couldn't handle, and then kept making her dance. At one point she said "At home it's always just a pair of Crocs".

I have not, at least not yet. Appreciate the vote of confidence, though.

I'm interested in a report too :-)

Survivor Season 36: Ghost Island

Keeping my fingers crossed that Michael stays around. When they start to lose weight, and the shorts have trouble staying up, and they've been away from their razors for a month... :-D -
What Did You Call Your Parents And Grandparents?
+ poolboy48220 replied to + Avalon's topic in The Lounge
My paternal grandmother went by "Honey", she said Grandma or any variant made her feel old. Mean old lady. She stayed with us for a week to watch us when I was 11 and my mother was out of state with her family. She terrorized us, including my then 2-year-old sister. -
I just gave both sites a try, you don't get to check out the massage therapist before you enter your credit card info? Am I doing something backwards?

Advice to Masseurs - if they want more regulars
+ poolboy48220 replied to FrequentMassageGetter's topic in Spas & Masseurs
I had no idea gypped was even spelled that way or referred to gypsies. I've (mentally, at least) spelled it "gipped" since I was a kid. -
Major Winchester David Ogden Stiers Passes

I loved that Star Trek episode. Also the first appearance of Michelle Forbes, she played his daughter, and later went on to play Ensign Ro. -
Ever Have Sex With Different Members Of The Same Family?
+ poolboy48220 replied to + Avalon's topic in The Lounge
I've always enjoyed the Rosso twins films together. A Penthouse letter from years back was from a guy whose girlfriend made him have sex with her brother, and then with her mother. -
I believe it's for members who have contributed money to support the forum.

You say slut like it's a bad thing. :-)

Monty Python was interviewed as a group at some comedy festival, they brought along an urn that supposedly held Graham Chapman's ashes. Of course it got knocked over, and they brought out a dustpan & brush, someone had a Dustbuster...funny stuff.

I hear you. Up to a year ago I loved my job. Lots of shakeups, changes, and uncertainty in the last year, and now I dread going into work every day. I'm somewhat-lackadaisically looking for new work, but my skill set has gotten VERY specific to what I do here, my "marketable" skills are rusty. And there are a LOT of advantages to this job - extremely flexible work-at-home policy (great for a single dog dad), and the money's not bad either. My father told me recently that he couldn't sleep Sunday nights, dreading going back to work. I'm not quite there yet, but I know a bit about how he feels.

Reminds me of one of my go-to gay jokes. Q: What's a lesbian bring to a second date? A: A U-Haul. Q: What's a gay man bring to a second date? A: What's a second date? Let the stereotype-bashing begin...

"On my honor". The first words of the Boy Scout oath. In his bio on the CBS Survivor page, he mentions making Eagle Scout. -
Leaving a bad review : can it haunt you?
+ poolboy48220 replied to Smurof's topic in Spas & Masseurs
Right. You can submit reviews to be published at http://daddysreviews.com. You discuss escorts/masseurs in https://www.companyofmen.org. The two are tied closely together but they are two distinct sites, reviews stay on the review site, and discussions on the forum should not go into such detail that they'd be considered reviews. -
Call me what you will, but I can't remember ever objecting to something going farther. :-D

I'm reminded of the Downton Abbey episode where Lord Grantham's white tie outfit went missing, and he had to wear black tie; his mother (Maggie Smith, the dowager countess) mistakes her son for a butler.
