Chien Andalou reacted to Whippoorwill in How old do you want to live to be?
Many of us say we want to live only while we are healthy, active, have our marbles, etc...and that we will know when it's time to go, and will let go. Would that we will be so lucky. Having seen many friends die of AIDS in the '80s and '90s, and now of the diseases of old age, if you want to control whether or not you have a good death, you have to die before you are ready. That is, stop eating and drinking, stop taking your meds, or actively kill yourself while you still are lucid enough and well enough to do so. I have seen people, after a lifetime of saying, let me die when it's time, hang on for months or years because they no longer have the mental acuity or physical strength to do the deed. If you are taken to an emergency room, their remit is to save you, no questions asked. They don't ask for your Advance Health Care Directive. If you are in a Senior Living Center, every time you sneeze, you're surrounded by a phalanx of medical professionals intent on keeping you alive. If you are asked if you want treatment, chances are you will say "yes" even though in your former right mind the answer would have been "no." States that have end of life option laws are a great help, but even then...in California where I live, you have to request the drug twice, 48 hrs apart, then make the request in writing, then sign a consent to the pharmacy, then get someone to get the drug from the pharmacy, then take it yourself. Many people lose the ability to complete all the steps, and end up lingering for weeks or months. My only question is, will I have the mental strength to do myself in before it is physically necessary? I hope so.

I do not recommend. He does look like his photos, but some false advertising about what he offers and tried to charge more than we had agreed upon. Cute, but not a satisfying experience at all.

My objection is the opposite: guys who offer only “legitimate” massage yet think they should be paid as much as the guys who provide sensual. You want the extra pay, do the work.

I have been in contact with him but never met up. In the past, his ads have stressed that he is a bottom with a taste for daddies. Maybe his tastes changed. Maybe he feels he can get more traction as a top. Maybe he wore his sphincter out. Rather than trying to read the hidden meanings in his text, why don’t you just ask him if he’s down for whatever you’re looking for? It’s amazing how that can work sometimes.

Chien Andalou reacted to Simon Suraci in How often do you hire men that have not been vetted on CoM?
    ^ I can’t emphasize your point enough.
Just because there is no info on a provider here doesn’t mean they are bad or good. It just means nobody has taken the time to go out of their way to write something publicly about a particular provider on this specific platform. Very few of you clients actually know of it and use the site with any frequency. Think of commentary here like the tip of an iceberg. For every one mention on here, that provider has seen at least hundreds of other clients. For every one of my RentMasseur reviews, for instance, I have seen at least many dozens, if not hundreds of other clients between one review and the next. The people seeing a provider and not reviewing could all be stellar experiences, or they could be more mixed. You never know. All you see is the tip of that iceberg.
I hire massages from time to time and benefit quite a bit from commentary here. I have a pretty good read on things being a masseur myself, so I don’t put too much stock in any one comment or member. I rely on my intuition more, but consistent good comments inspire me to try someone I had never considered or heard of before. It can sway me when I’m on the fence too.
I’ve spent more time in the deli section lately as a client agent doing the work of vetting and arranging new providers for clients. I try to steer clients toward the professionals with a positive track record here along with following my own gut instincts, which are usually right. The guys with no commentary have been a total toss-up. More often than not, a client will insist against my best intuition to hire a guy and he proves to be a disappointment. As clients trust my judgment more and more, they consider my opinion more valuable, and I’m more like a veto vote.
With that said, you won’t find everyone mentioned here. Plenty of CoM members have hired guys that I’ve hired but I never heard a peep about those providers from them here until after the fact when I mention them. Not every CoM client is taking the time to contribute.
Newbie providers as well as experienced professionals may lack mention here, either by chance or by design. Some providers know about the site and have asked for their threads to be taken down over the years.
So often we see a repeated “bump” in a provider thread containing no info because nobody is willing to risk time and money on a provider without a track record here. This forum is a give and take. Count the number of times you avoided a bad hire or had a great experience with a good hire because of your research on CoM. Now count how many times you contributed to threads based on your experience, especially when you were the first to “take the plunge” and share about it. If that second number is vanishingly small (or zero) compared to the first number, you should reconsider your expectations and use of the site. It only works when we all make an effort to contribute. Don’t just take. Give.
Same goes for the members who “bump” dozens of times for every one time they contribute. You are doing a lot of asking, and not a lot of answering. The site will serve everyone better when more of us take time to contribute.
You don’t need to have a binary horrible / amazing experience to write useful commentary. Sometimes middle of the road, “adequate”, “met my expectations” kinds of comments can help too. These create some sense of safety for other clients to try a provider and perhaps have better experiences than yours. Not everyone is going to have the best experience of their life with a given provider every time they meet him. That doesn’t make for a bad provider, either. It’s just realistic.
Nor does a provider have to rob or scam you to be on the worse end of the spectrum. They could go through the motions and do on paper everything you could expect they were supposed to do, and still not be that good of a provider because his focus was elsewhere or he made you feel uncomfortable or some other less tangible, objective thing. This work is not easy. Not everyone is good at it. Not every provider can knock it out of the park every single time. Experiences vary, even from one meeting to the next with the same client.

To me it means that the guy prefers to top but isn't adverse to bottoming. What will get him to bottom... is up to the provider to tell you. You really need to talk to him and not speculate or ask the forum something only he could tell you.
The forum is a great tool, but it can't answer every question or speculation about a particular provider and his choices.

No I’ve never had an issue. Mind you the “business” account is on my “real” personal phone. I’ve used WhatsApp business while traveling with friends in group chats etc., never a problem. I do get a lot of spam group invitations for investor groups etc.

I have always had to use my phone for work and didn’t want text bubbles about meeting at some hotel that afternoon to pop up on my screen.
I used to have a crappy burner; now I use the Hushed app on my phone. It provides a phone number with domestic calls and texts for something like 50 bucks a year. It allows me continuity without using my actual phone. Works like a charm. (After reading about it here, I do wonder what Mr. Number says about that number.)
I used to have WhatsApp tied to the burner number. Now it’s attached to my personal number and I don’t use it for “the hobby.” I have considered trying WhatsApp Business with my alternate number but haven’t bit the bullet.
I recently signed up for Signal, which is purportedly the most secure, but none of the providers I’ve tried to contact are registered.

I am not experienced enough to answer that; however, I have worked for businesses before.  We sold a service to our clients. We would not have provided the service without pay, but that didn't mean we didn't care for them as people and meet their needs for the right reasons. The staff got paid to provide a service, but they cared about the people they were working for,  sometimes working a bit longer unpaid or taking client calls on personal time because they cared.
