Which method(s) do you follow when you contact a provider? Reach out to 1 person first, wait for a series of back and forth communications before confirming an appointment or moving on to the next person in line Blast (as with a shotgun) a group of potential hires all at once and book an appointment on a first-come, first-served basis (or whoever gives you the best 1st impressions via the initial communications) Do you have any other strategies? Thus far, I have only used the sequential method. TBH, though, it is very time consuming and the waiting period for a single person to respond is quite agonizing. Well, there's never, ever 100% certainty of anything. I wonder that sometimes, even with the best of intentions, they themselves do not know for sure they are 100% negative on everything. I'd say if I were a provider and if there's a choice, I'd rather pick a basic, acceptably clean hotel room + basic/cheap restaurant and then have the difference in costs translate into extra tips/bonus in my pocket. At least this is how I feel from a client's perspective.

So he's following the billable hour and travel time concepts adopted by lawyers and other licensed professionals. If that's the case, then I need to see the license as I will have to report to the official licensing board if and when the professional service is not rendered according to the professional standards. I have no qualms about how people run their own business, but people do need to use common sense and adhere to logic. I can't help but wonder who this person is.
