CANCELED - 2020 Palm Springs Weekend! #17
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to + Oliver's topic in The Lounge
Yes, I received it as well. And then immediately cancelled my flight. -
I'm guessing I can still find the Richard Simmons tapes at Mom's house.

It's your event. Call it 18 or XVIII or 2021 or 'the resurection.' I'm sure we'll still show up. -
Tokyo 2020 Olympics cancellation possibility from Coronavirus
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to + lkbreth's topic in The Lounge
I heard on the radio this morning that gold-medal swimmer from the Rio Olympics Lilly King cannot find a pool to practice in. As a student at Indiana University, the campus was closed, including all of the athletic facilities. She was then practicing at the local Y until the governor shut down all gyms. https://www.jsonline.com/story/sports/columnist/brennan/2020/03/17/tokyo-olympics-us-swimming-champ-struggles-prepare-games/5071448002/ -
Men with older brothers more likely to be gay
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to + Trebor's topic in The Lounge
I am the oldest with two younger sisters. -
Having worked at a grocery through high school and college, I have stepped up in other times. However, at my store yesterday, they had taped blue Xs on the floor six feet apart for the line and had a line monitor to ensure we weren't too close.
-
Today I went to the grocery, primarily to get bread and milk, but thought I would also restock the freezer. Some observations from my trip (the first grocery visit in 10 days.) While the number of vehicles was only slightly lower than a typical Saturday, the store itself was quiet. Not the normal hustle and bustle at the register lines and no groups at the (closed) meat counter or deli. Quality of the produce was great! The advertised specials on the shelves, contradicted the signs limiting quantities. "Buy two packages of Kraft cheese, get third free" with another sign "Because of the demand for this item, there will be a limit of 2."

I'm suspecting Linda Eder might be on your list as well.

Day Five and I'm bored enough to do that next week.

On this morning's call, someone decided that we should also do video so that we would feel more like a team. I looked down at my t-shirt and realized it was not "office appropriate" and had to do a quick change before turning on the camera.

On Sunday, I received a note that my team was to work from home on Monday. At 9:00 a.m. my boss had a call with her direct six direct reports. As folks were still dialing in, I shared that I had already uncovered a problem with the work from home arrangement. She was concerned as replied, "Oh, oh. What is it?" The team laughed out loud when I replied that the coffee maker was too close and I was already on my fourth cup of coffee compared to my limit of one cup a day. Today we were comparing what we had for afternoon snacks (guacamole for me.)

While I'd be disappointed if I had to cancel and InnDulge doesn't refund, I would hope that the employees are still being paid. -
What's happening in Las Vegas with COVID-19
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to EZEtoGRU's topic in The Lounge
I heard on my local evening news that the Cirque du Soleil has suspended all of its shows (in Vegas and otherwise) and joined Penn & Teller and David Copperfield who have also closed their Vegas shows. -

I'm counting that in a month (is it really only 34 days until I arrive in PS?) the situation will have stabilized and panic is done. I will still fly, as by then the airlines will have their cleaning routines down and I think the risks will be less. (Plus the unrealistic option of driving from OH for just a week.) That's not to say that I won't monitor the situation (I'm doing that for work) and be open minded, but what I'm hearing, I'm optimistic that a in month we're on the downside given all of the precautions being taken now. -
CANCELED - 2020 Palm Springs Weekend! #17

I am still planning to follow through on my travel plans for the next three months: Fort Lauderdale, Indianapolis, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, and Indianapolis again. And if my employer quarantines me for flying commercial airlines, so be it! I think I would love not needing to dress for the office as springtime temps return to Central Ohio. -
Keep Records About Clients?
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to crushme99's topic in Questions About Hiring
Doctors are legally required to maintain the doctor-patient confidentiality. Our providers are not legally bound by the same level of confidentiality. I would suspect that the providers that have sustained success in the business have maintained a similar level of confidentiality. -
411- jdbodywork in Indianapolis
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to cbusbearister's topic in Spas & Masseurs
It's been several years since I've had a couple of massages with JD. I've wanted to schedule with him again, but my trips to Indy have not provided time to escape family obligations to do so. I found him friendly and the massage was good. -
I'm a boomer. I remember the size of the cars - in college we would roadtrip with four in the front (bench) seat and four in the back.

Outside of hiring/being hired - how often do you have sex?
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to MidwestCoastal's topic in The Lounge
Sex without compensation? Based on the contents of my mother's jewelry box, I would guess that does not exist. -
Coronavirus & escorting? Prospects?

Is the answer "mind?" -
Now you know where it all comes from.

Just for clarification, Mom's recipe used both cottage and ricotta. I know it isn't everyone's thing, but it's what I grew up being served. (Side note: we always had a tossed salad with lasagna. If I could smell the lasagna, I knew the vegetable for the evening was not brussel sprouts or lima beans!)
-
I prefer large curd, especially in the lasagna recipe Mom used.

Mack & Mabel @ City Center Encores!
+ sam.fitzpatrick replied to edjames's topic in Live Theater & Broadway
I saw the show this afternoon. My guest for the show was not familiar at all with the show and at intermission, he stated that he really enjoyed it. As we were leaving City Center, we both agreed that we enjoyed the show.
