I found the French spoken in Geneva very easy to understand as they speak it beautifully. My native Quebec could learn a few lessons. My boyfriend's second language was English as he had spent a year at a language school in San Diego a couple of years before I met him. I guess I was conditioned by living four years in Geneva, the French speaking part of Switzerland. I also spoke French but not German.
