  1. I think that is an astute observation
  2. I always pay afterwards. I'm paying for his time after all, and time can only be gauged after its on the clock, not before. What if he accepted the envelope and turned and walked out the door? We've heard of these cases on this forum. Oh, I forgot something in the car. I need to go check something. Etc More likely, I will now go and spend your money. Thanks.
  3. Was he a Roman Catholic priest, who are pledged to celibacy? Or in a religion where they can marry?
  4. As they say at my local garage, Will that be an oil change AND a lube job? (My emphasis) 😄
  5. I visited New Hope twice, in the 1970's. The first time I was staying with an older couple who were friends of my family, and lived outside Philly near New Hope. I went there one night and dropped in at a bar called January's which was gay. Picked up a cute blond guy who took me to his home across the Delaware for a quickie. The next morning I mentioned to my female host, who was friends with my parents, that I had been there and she immediately responded, Oh, I should have mentioned that place. I thought you might have been interested. The next year I was in the area and tried to get a room in an inn or hotel but they were fully booked up. It was quite gay in those days. There was a place with a French name after some actress (Collete? or something like that) or maybe just a local celebrity, and that place was also very gay. Years later I met a gay couple in Fort Lauderdale who lived there in the summer. I had sex with the younger one (he seduced me, not the reverse). I swear.
  6. If he did, and this is purely discretionary, it would be better to do so after the event and with the providers' permission. They may welcome the promotion, particularly if they advertise groups in their ads.
  7. He's definitely oiled up. How do you know he's lubed up as well?:)
  8. I saw another pic of him in the NYT today. Wondered who he was. He's gorgeous.
  9. This reminds me a bit of that Weiner guy who posted naked pics of himself. Got him in a whole lot of trouble but he was a politician. Could be also true if you were a member of the clergy. But for everyday schmucks like us, I don't know unless you are not out to your friends and family.
  10. As I understand it, Americans who are fully vaccinated will be able to cross the land borders into Canada starting on August 9th. The fully vaccinated Canadians will not be able to go to the States by land until at least August 21st, but a further announcement will have to be made.
  11. I always undertstood the cut bait part was waiting.😃
  12. I'm not surprised to hear of her health problems. She has been a chain smoker all her life, I understand. It wreaked her voice. But she is a marvelous creative artist.

    used leather

I got rid of most of my leather when I was living in the Gay Village in Montreal. I got it there at Priape, the leather emporium there. I spent a small fortune on the outfit and decided after one attendance at a leather ball.that was not the real me. I left a posted ad at the Priape notice board and sold it in a jiffy but took a heavy loss. Still someone else got to enjoy a nearly new outfit. Before getting rid of it, I took a picture of my ass displayed in the leather chaps and look at it every one in a while to remind me of former glory.:)
  14. Not all. Some bare chests.
  15. Yeah they refer to "Village" but from a previous post on here I understand the city now refers to it that way. Anyway the location is great and I am ready to move on to the Hyatt experience. The last year or so the HVAC system sucked and was difficult to get an acceptable room temperature. Other than that everything else was fine, especially the large bathrooms and showers. In the junior suites you got a walk-in shower and a jacuzzi big enough for two or three, which was put to good use.😈
  16. Obviously, the needle in the haystack.😃
  17. Australians were lots of white in their summer, which is our winter. I always associate Aussi men with summer sports like tennis and they look great in their whites.
  18. I can't see that happening. If they did there would be back to work legislation pronto. The border is too important to the economy to have it close to trucking.
  19. Looking back at your original post, it is not clear whether he has been on antiretroviral treatment since he contracted HIV 10 years ago. If so and he was faithfully taking his meds, he would be undetectable if the treatment worked. And you been seeing him over that period on a regular basis. Do you think you have had the infection a long time? When was the last time you had the bloodwork testing for HIV? I think you will want to consider these points and further discussing the matter with him if he is amenable to talking. I agree with you that the legal route helps neither of you two. But by talking to him, you might want to urge him to protect others as if he infects another person, they may take legal action. And things could get really messy for him if others come forward to also accuse him.
  20. I can drive there since I live in Ontario. In fact I've already booked a room and escort for the occasion of the opening weekend. I'll let you know how the new hotel looks in reality. The pictures are pretty but they're still doing the work so I imagine it's a mess at this time. I'll be the first to mess it up again with my guy. LOL
  21. This is wonderful news. I stayed at the former Le Gouverneur many times and even had a loyalty card that would have entitled me to a free overnight when they suddenly closed. Lol Then it became Hotel Dupuis for a short time until the pandemic closed it again. I hadn’t hear that it was used for the homeless during this period, but frankly, even during the last days as Le Gouverneur, it was showing it’s age. The Hyatt has obviously renovated the place and it has good bones. The views are spectacular from the upper floors looking on the west side. You see the entire downtown and Mount Royal laid at your feet with no obstructions from nearby buildings, which are all much shorter. That side also fronts on a park. The location can’t be beat as it is not only close to the Gay Village but also the old port, where there are some good restaurants, and a ten minute taxi ride to downtown where there is a great nightlife vibe, if the Village doesn’t inspire. I will be booking my first stay there in the fall when it opens.
  22. On the bright side, maybe the party will move to you. If places like Florida and the southwest and even northwest become problematic, there will be mass migrations to more sustainable locales.
  23. Sorry that you have to deal with this because an escort was not upfront with you about his HIV status. It goes both ways of course and clients should always be honest about their health status before engaging an escort.in any kind of sexual activity. Condoms can break. That being said, you should make it top priority to get on an effective treatment and get tested regularly and often to determine if it is working and you become undetectable. Once you achieve the status over a period of time, you can become more confident that you will not transmit the virus to others through sexual contact. If you see escorts after that point, ask about their status and if neg, are they on PrEP. If pos, are they undetectable. Only deal with reputable escorts who are honest. Being open yourself will encourage them to be open as well. Good luck.
  24. If you're thinking of living in Palm Springs in the next 20 years, have you considered besides the expense, whether it will be inhabitable due to climate change? Just today it was reported over 120 people died in Portland, Oregon in the recent heat wave. I know PS is equipped for the brutal heat in the summers but how much brutal heat and for how many months before people will have to throw in the towel.
  25. There's another thing to consider from the university's perspective. Since donations are charitable gifts eligible for a tax receipt, the school probably has to, like charitable trusts, disburse an amount each year from the fund. They probably can't just hang onto it until someone comes along in a later year. Not an expert here, but if to the parallel holds, they need to have the flexibility to disburse the funds in the future in accordance with changed circumstances.
