  1. It's not a new trend. Early/untimely deaths of young porn actors/strippers/escorts have been happening for many years...both for males & females. I need more than ten fingers to count the number of male strippers I have personally known from Montreal that have died young. As someone pointed out above, the primary causes of death seem to be suicide, drug overdose, and vehicle accidents. If you go far enough back, there were also some that died from complications related to HIV/AIDS. That doesn't happen much now. I remember there was one year where four Montreal strippers I knew had died. It was terrible.
  2. I went into a convenience store today wearing my mask and the unmasked cashier gave me the "stink-eye". I never said anything to her or even looked at her funny. I can only conclude she hated that I was wearing a mask and wanted to indicate her disapproval. I do live in a heavily Republican area of Michigan, so I have been seeing plenty of "never-maskers" throughout the pandemic. Roughly five weeks ago, my county had the highest infection rate in the state and one of the highest in the country. No surprise since there are so many deniers and Kool-Aid drinkers in this area.
  3. I just filled up at Costco today...$2.69 for regular. Average price of gas in my area of Michigan is about $2.98. Costco is always the lowest here.
  4. Good question. According to the Twist website and facebook page, Twist continues to operate. What is less clear is whether they still have the gogo boys dancing in the bungalow/tiki bar in back. Anyone have any recent info on that?
  5. I never knew.
  6. The "South America" term does not properly capture Mexico, Central America, or the Caribbean nations. I suggest renaming it "Latin America/Caribbean" or "South-of-the Border"
  7. This happened to me a zillion year ago....pre-internet. In both cases I was overseas and one had to contact an "escort service" by phone to find a companion. One time was in Amsterdam and the other time was in Sao Paulo. In both cases, both escorts that were sent to my hotel were not even close to what I requested. Within five minutes of them arriving, I paid them the full amount and asked them to leave. It was complicated back then if you were in an overseas city and didn't know how to find someone that met your needs. "Escort Services" would send whomever was available.
  8. I was thinking the same thing. 30-45 minutes seems pretty normal to me...but that's just me.
  9. As I said in my prior post..."nuff said".
  10. Thanks for your words and the thumbs down on my post:rolleyes:. I speak the truth as I see it...something I learned years ago in numerous places including on this forum from just-returned long time poster Glutes. Your history on here speaks for itself. Nuff said. BTW, 1.I do not believe in god. 2.I have been vaccinated. 3.I certainly hope you have decided to be part of the solution and have been vaccinated. GoGretchen!! EZEtoGRU
  11. I predict that bars/restaurants in Montreal will be allowed to open within the next 60 days. I would guess it will be somewhere between late May and early June... but for sure, by the end of June. As far as the US/Canada border goes, this is tougher to predict. My guess is that it will re-open to vaccinated individuals anywhere from late July to late September. If Canada's vaccination rate continues accelerating, a July re-opening looks more likely. I have no particular insight on any of this. Just going with my gut feeling. Anyway, re-opening is in sight now!
  12. Wow. I'm surprised you want to go back. Based on your many previous posts, you were really down on Montreal and you seemed to hate what The Village has become. Just keeping it real;).
  13. Congrats to Sam! BTW, What happened to deej? Is he still around?
  14. Welcome back Glutes! We have definitely missed you. Some of your threads from years ago live on even now!!
  15. Australia has done an exemplary job of dealing with COVID. Lessons to be learned by many others.
  16. Thanks to Orin, RadioRob, and everyone else involved in the "rescue operation". So glad someone knows how to do all this. I would be completely clueless!
  17. Malik of Stock Bar and porn actor on Men.com now available on RM in Montreal. https://rentmen.eu/MalikDelgaty If I'm not mistaken, its the first time he has advertised on RM.
  18. Timely story here. I am in the process of considering what my next move will be as far as a place to live. In the last week I have been researching Providence RI (I love Italian food and I thought it would be fun to live somewhere close to the ACELA line to have easy train access to Boston, NYC, Philly, & DC). In my research I found multiple comments from people saying that Rhode Islanders are not very accepting of outsiders. It seems they don't really accept outsiders living in their state until they have been there for at least 25 years.
  19. I believe this means there is no longer any proper stripper club catering to gay clientele (nude or not) in the Midwest. The Gold Coast in Detroit was the last one that closed prior to the closure of Boxers-n-Briefs. One can probably find go-go boys working some nights at some bars/clubs in the Midwest...but not really strippers. BTW, IMHO, the Lucky Horseshoe in Chicago was never a proper stripper club. Skinny twinky guys would dance on the bar for tips. I don't recall there being any place to have a private dance...but I could be wrong about that. It never really mattered as I never found anyone there that I would have wanted a private dance with anyway.
  20. I am shocked the US made the list!
  21. I agree with you.
  22. I agree with all the others. It's not a good time to travel outside of one's home country right now. Way too many potential problems given the COVID situation : Potential curfews, lots of things not being open, generally depressing environment in places where COVID is rampant, testing problems when trying to return home, etc. It's just not worth it right now. Perhaps things will look better in 3-4 months as more people are vaccinated.
  23. I doubt your average person today is "still focusing so much on surface cleaning" to prevent COVID transmission. That was certainly the case earlier on in the pandemic, but it seems to have decreased more recently. As someone else mentioned above, I do appreciate the general cleanliness of things. I also echo the comments earlier about having too many Lysol Wipes now. I have a five year supply now .
  24. Yuck. I wouldn't be interested if he was paying me $600. Of course, to each his own.
  25. To be honest, I wouldn't be visiting anywhere outside of the US right now. It just isn't a good time. Save it for a later date.
