  1. Boardwalk yes. But somewhat unfair regarding Johnson's FTL. There are still some hot guys at Johnson's although not all of the dancers there are great. I think it's fair to say all the strip clubs everywhere are struggling to attract Class A talent. I think it's a consequence of the internet, OnlyFans et al, COVID, and many other things. Handsome young men have so many other options to make money today without having to hang-out in a gay bar all night to dance for old guys.
  2. In 1984, I did an 8-week Spanish immersion course in Medellin Colombia at EAFIT University. This was part of a Masters in International Business program that I was enrolled in at a US University. Whilst in Medellin, I lived with a local family. Overall a great experience. I fully endorse the immersion option of learning a language...ideally in a country where said language is spoken.
  3. Stock has been closed on Sunday's for some time now I believe. Yes the new owners have multiple other gay bars in the village.
  4. Ya....um no. That's no different than people in the 80's saying AIDS was payback for the queers. Thankfully, things don't work that way in the real world.
  5. I was surprised to read on the FB page that Stock would be sold. I wish the new buyers well in this business venture. I also wanted to take the opportunity to thank current owners Steven and Bobby for building such a great club for us all to visit over the years. They really did turn Stock into an institution and quality establishment that set the standard for male strip clubs in North America. I spent many nights there over the years and developed friendships with dancers and employees alike. It felt like going home when I would enter Stock. Best wishes to Steven and Bobby with whatever opportunities they wish to pursue!!
  6. Pre-COVID, Jasper and Tyler had the biggest cocks at Stock.
  7. Watching the Stock web feed this weekend, I see Jasper (yes with the huge cock) is dancing there again. I don't know when he started back there as I don't watch the feed very frequently lately. Some of you may remember Jasper as a popular Stock dancer pre-COVID. He then seemed to have spent some of 2021/2022 in South Florida. I saw him at Johnson's FTL in early 2022 I believe. He has lost some of his size but still looks good. He has pretty long hair now and his cock still gets rock hard on-stage😀. Just thought I'd pass on the info.
  8. TMZ ran a documentary tonight on UA23 which is being referred to as "the 5th flight". A United flight from JFK to LAX that never got off the ground as the events of the Sept 11, 2001 unfolded. Multiple suspicious passengers on-board behaving strangely. Strange things happening on the aircraft after it had been evacuated and the door had been locked. Interviews with several of the crew members where they indicated they are convinced UA23 was meant to be the 5th plane. Interestingly, I recall hearing a few murmurs about this at the time but so many other things were happening that I forgot about it. Also, a small piece of the documentary near the end dealt with how some the UA23 crew members allege they were treated poorly by United after the fact and they ultimately terminated employment with United either by choice or by being pushed out. I thought it was quite good and really does raise questions of whether this was investigated properly or not. Our unusual relationship with Saudi Arabia may well be a cloud hanging over these events that prevents many official comments coming from the FBI. I know I know...eyeroll cause it's TMZ. It's worth watching anyway as most of the documentary seems quite credible. Here's a snippet from on of the UA23 pilots:
  9. In the wake of the 2007/2008 financial crisis & great recession, tighter regulations were imposed on banks via the Dodd-Frank bill that was signed into law in 2010. One aspect of the new law was the implementation of annual "stress tests" on many banks. In 2018, the prior administration (with congressional approval) rolled back some of these regulations. Without getting into the politics of all this, I think it's fair to say this rollback will likely be the subject of some scrutiny as a result of the recent bank collapses.
  10. Well it looks like we Jimmy G fans need to switch our allegiance to the Raiders. Seems he's about to sign with them. Go Jimmy!! I'll follow you anywhere!! https://sports.yahoo.com/nfl-free-agency-jimmy-garoppolo-reportedly-signing-with-raiders-reuniting-with-josh-mcdaniels-on-3-year-deal-175208037.html
  11. I have been generally displeased with the delivery of primary medical care in the last three states I have lived: Florida, Texas, and now Michigan. Long waits for appointments, long waits at the doctor's office (multiple hours in some cases), rushed appointments, incompetent support staff at the doctor's offices. I had first heard about concierge medicine when I was living in Houston. When I moved back to Michigan in 2016, I explored the possibility of getting a concierge doctor here. I can afford the annual subscription fee but the problem here is that there are few concierge options. Certainly there were none available within a 1 hour drive from where I live. There seemed to be a good option in Ann Arbor linked to The University of Michigan Medical Center (probably the top medical facility in Michigan). However that was over a two hour drive from where I live so didn't seem very practical. I think that concierge medicine is an interesting option to take care of your primary care if you can find one and can afford it.
  12. I was at Johnson's again this week on Tuesday & Wednesday. Tuesday was very quiet considering Florida is now in high season. They didn't even have a bartender working in the main stage room bar...which surprised me. In any case I had a good time. There were maybe 12 dancers working so enough to have some variety. Wednesday was totally different. Very busy. SRO at a few points during the evening. I'd say about 20 dancers were working. There were at least five guys from Argentina. One of them was a young guy from Cordoba. Very good looking, muscular, and with a beard. Also, he had one of the most beautiful asses I have ever seen in my life. Wow!! One trend I noticed that I'm happy about is that more dancers seem to be letting their pubic hair grow. Maybe not full bush but the hair was there at the top of the pubic area. I love that. Of course there were still plenty of completely shaved guys for those that like that. Thank you Cordoba Argentina for the handsome guy with the beautiful ass. A true work of art!
  13. TBH I don't know today. My experience is from 10 years ago when I had a close friend living there. Also my comment was not related to trade/professionals. I was referring to the guys you would see there in general. I'm always happy if there are military guys around.
  14. I would say San Diego. It seems nearly everyone is in great shape. Another plus is all the military guys that are there.
  15. I think the moral of the story is to not trust that anyone that is”undetectable” is actually taking their meds as prescribed. you need to protect yourselves y’all!! Assume everyone is poz.
  16. I don't really know. The individuals are acquaintances I see from time to time when I go to Houston. All I know is they say they take a hiatus from their meds "to give their body a break". I don't know how often or for how long or why? How many of the HIV meds today are still pill-form versus injections? If they are injections and are given by doctors it seems it would be harder to simply stop taken them. Presumably the doctor would be after the patient to get the injections. I don't really know how they are administered today.
  17. I know undetectable gay men that purposely stop taking their HIV meds from time to time because they want to give their body a break from the meds. How long does this go on for? I don't know. At what point do their HIV virus levels start going up again? I don't know. How long does it take them before they are infectious again? I don't know. There's one thing I do know...there's no way in hell I'm gonna trust someone that is HIV undetectable to do the right thing and take their meds as they're supposed to.
  18. I think closing the politics forum is ultimately a good thing. Back in the summer when this possibility was being discussed, I expressed that I thought it should be shut down for a variety of reasons. I’m totally good with it.
  19. I agree that he is not that handsome (in the face). Nice bod. Bad acne on the back (or more likely steroid back issues). The tattoos are awful...but that seems to be par for the course these days.
  20. I noticed that on their website recently. I'm intrigued!! I do too as long as the talent is good.
  21. Joe Biden was a handsome young man and really maintained his looks into his 60's. His secret weapon has always been his smile.
  22. This 24-year-old says that if you're in you're 20's and don't have a Lamborghini...then something's wrong: https://www.yahoo.com/news/24-old-finance-youtuber-told-180858807.html Why bother with dollar bills from 50/60/70-year-olds?
  23. I agree here. I see clear culpability on the part of the armorer. Where the guilt lies for Baldwin is much less clear to me. Let's see what the facts of the trial show. Why is this thread not in the Politics forum where it belongs?
  24. The Detroit Institute of Arts has this wonderful exhibit running currently. I believe this is the last week. Anyway, I visited today and very much enjoyed it. Van Gogh works from all around the world being presented in Detroit. It was very crowded but well-worth the visit. https://dia.org/events/exhibitions/van-gogh-america
  25. Spain is an Art Museum paradise. I have to say I found the Prado overwhelming. Spectacular...but overwhelming. So many religious paintings. Just not for me.
