I can understand your feelings.  I've lived enough decades to have noticed/experienced the steady decline of mutual respect and/or neutral civility across-the-board in society.  I'm not sure where to place the blame...social media/politics/stress factors, other things, but I sense that it is escalating and pollinating into the younger generations.  Maybe, hopefully it's a cycle.

Agreed. Also I’d be very skeptical of Hush. Haven’t been in a couple of years. Last time I was there I got really sick after with a virus of some kind. Place is definitely not clean and it may have been Julio who was sick but still working. 🙁

Don’t DM on instagram. Especially don’t mention paid meetings or anything similar on there. Instagram will ban suspend or ban the model’s account if they discuss such a thing on there. You’d need to move the discussion off instagram if you wanted to discuss hiring him. Similarly on Onlyfans: they will ban or suspend any creator discussing meets.
I get guys messaging me on both my IG and OF about meeting and it’s difficult to respond to them directly. Best to contact guys for meets via their X / Twitter (they don’t care!) or via his contact number which you’ll find with a bit of simple research if he’s open for business.

Went to Hush Manhattan and got Julio. Very good technique, but beware he looks nothing like the picture on their website, he gained at least 40 pounds since this picture was taken.

Sounds like you're still trying to decide if this is a career or a hobby.
Your first topics on CofM were that you look "too straight" to be picked up by anyone at gay venues, so you're always going home alone.  Then, that you're "too hot" to sleep with the few men that do approach you at those venues.  Later, you thought about being an escort but requiring client pictures up front to only get paid to accompany good looking men.  Now, you're an escort over age 40, who rarely does anal or give oral, wants to command higher than average NYC rates for full-service well-reviewed providers, tells a customer you're insulted with a low-ball offer, yet are upset because the low-ball offer guy was hot and you would have fucked him for free!
If there's one thing I've learned from the escorts who contribute to this CofM, is that escorting is not a great way to monetize your personal sex life.
Consider going to massage school and learning how to give a proper massage.  A client can hire you for a massage, and then you can decide when you meet the client if you want to fuck him as well.  Apparently, the young hot 20-something had good success booking masseurs doing that very thing (according to the Original Post of this topic), so absolutely he should continue doing what works for him while it does.

Nothing good can come from negotiating providers rates.  How is either party going to feel good about the experience if they feel screwed (not in the good way)?
There are so many good providers that have what I consider affordable rates and tend to be more down to earth and fun.

My motto... either pay what is asked or pick someone else.
I will sometimes ask what a multi hour rate is because sometimes if you book 2, 3 or 4 hours it could be less.  But if it's not, pay it or move on.  Negotiating rates just puts a damper on the whole experience.

I think it's tacky to try and talk down a price that a provider sets, but providers also need to learn not to take the bait. If someone is going to start haggling with you, just block them and move on. No need to engage.

Which is gross. There's ways to say things that don't involve that kind of language. When I ask for a provider for their info and they say their rate is X and is a mismatch for me I reply with "Thank you so much for the info, I appreciate it, it is over the rate of Y I usually pay but I thank for your time and if anything changes on my side I'll reach out, have a great rest of your day". 7 out of 10 come back "I can do that rate", but if they don't I DO NOT contact them anymore unless I can or am willing to pay their rate. I never say that's too expensive, or tell them they're crazy for asking that much, or what have you, that's a big NO.

You are absolutely right. In the past week, I added another 5k to my spending total. I don’t think I have ever spent more than 75k a year.  Looks like I could exceed that, if I don’t curb my desires for immediate gratification.

I think you can set it to how far you want it to show you are from your real location.  So people know the general area but not the exact street/building.  With Grindr doesn’t it show how many feet away you are which seems more of a security issue.   They can walk down the block until they get zero feet.

Agree that Sniffies is a great site. I’ve been active on there for about a month and have had several great hookups. Seen three of them twice! And it’s a huge ego boost for a silver haired daddy!

Actually: I’m an advocate of that… Having their actually be a specific code for tax returns and having this designated as legitimate profession where we are taxed because it is both legal and legitimized. Also, included into the healthcare system to allow for STI screening and other necessary care that reduces the incidence rates of voidable health issues then can address drug usage etc~ legitimizing, and legalizing. This profession could especially help women courtesans in terms of physical and health safety, especially if there are the return of agencies that can pre-screen clients for them.~

I have a line item for 1500 a month, which translates into three 2-hour sessions within my pool of regulars.
I work in tech, make six figures, have no debt whatsoever (even mortgage paid off), and live simply. The largest cash flow I pay into is savings and retirement.
Either I settle down into a marriage with a well funded retirement, or I hire a live in personal trainer when I'm older. You always have to plan for the worst case scenario.

The figures listed in this thread should be exhibit A in why we need to tax this type of work by legalizing and legitimizing it.

It’s an interesting question. When I’m reading it I’m also interpreting different ways to read it. I’m thinking about what the expenditure is for a Client strictly for the meeting, but then there’s also preparation, time and money before the meeting actually takes place, including advertising or looking on advertisements… And then there’s the same questions from the point of view of the provider: what is their investment being hired and for each particular appointment. It’s fair to assess that there is financial, time and other investment as a provider for any given meeting.
Since I’m a provider, it’s important for me to look at both questions from the various perspectives, especially since I travel with Clients and sometimes I’m with them anywhere from a few days to a couple of months at a time… But even for the shorter appointments, the various types of cost are present.
so, it’s important for me to know what my client is investing when hiring me, but also it’s a consideration on what they are budgeting for with regards to their month or their year because it may include hiring other lads for various periods of time… And I need to be sensitive about their needs there~ it’s something that I openly discussed with a number of my Clients whether it’s their needs or mine~ When a client understands their own budget and hiring needs, my experience shows me that it often benefits their overall experience. When they understand my needs, it also helps them understand why things cost what they do or whether they don’t cost what they don’t. It’s not all about justifying financial needs and ability but also it addresses some very important things about time and availability.

Yikes. I think I need to up my game.  In the last 10 years, I've hired five providers and spent around $3,000. When I feel I've earned a reward for my good deeds, and have the funds, I hire. I've had a mixed bag of good and poor providers.

My monthly discretionary income is divided between this hobby, savings, investments, and overpaying on my bills. Some months, I'll sacrifice one of these to indulge in one of the others (or clothes, gambling, etc.). However, most months, I try to keep these four equally balanced.

I’m a middle-class commoner and I started this pastime last year.  My 2025 total was just around $4000 because it was my trial-and-error phase.
That said, for some strange reasons, 2026 feels very different to me.  In roughly a month (end of January to now), I’ve already contributed more than my 2025 total to this activity.
My spending largely depends on my vacation schedule and how much extra income I earn from my side jobs.  It’s a balancing act between rewards (vacation & this hobby) and punishments (work).
