I've only been with a handful providers who were already established porn stars. One who comes to mind is Andrew Justice. To me, he was better in person than on the screen. His videos did not capture, to me, how much fun he was in person. I've also hired Scott DeMarco, and he was really good. He also seemed hotter in person as well. And neither of them charged much of a "fame tax." And in each case, I learned of them first from their escort ad and then later looked up their videos. This is one reason I don't travel to another city for brief appointments. I take what's available where I am and try to develop about four or five regulars. If I'm traveling with this kind of thing in mind, I do it at a place such as New York City where there will be plenty of backups -- and other fun, nonsexual things to do. I've also found that punctuality is generally less important to providers younger than 30 than those older. Though I must say I've found notable exceptions to both rules. That's yet one more reason I tend to go with guys in their 30s and older; odds are better they'll keep the appointment and be on time. I rarely hire below 25 for a variety of reasons. Punctuality is just one of them.

Contacting me first if you're going to be running late goes a long way with me. I'm much more willing to extend out the time (within limits) if I'm not having to track down the situation.

I usually have them come to me, and I realize there can be traffic issues, parking issues and such. I'll grant more leeway on that depending on the guy. Up to an hour. If I'm in a hotel lobby, I generally will wait about 20 minutes max with no text or contact all. If I'm not hearing anything by then, I'm out. And I'll grant about 20 more minutes if there is an issue. But 40 minutes is pretty much my max. I usually do two confirmations after an appointment is set. So say I make an appointment at noon for a meeting at 9 p.m. Around 6 p.m, I'll confirm I'm still good to meet. Then I'll confirm I'm leaving my place if I go to the provider. If the provider is coming to me, I ask him to let me know when he's on the way. And sometimes, I'll send an "in-progess" text if I'm hitting bad traffic, etc., if I'm traveling. Communication is key. I don't mind waiting for a legit reason. But do not leave me in the dark.

I think he took a hiatus and came back with a name change. Honestly, I've meant to reach out to him for an appointment but just haven't gotten around to it.

I'm not a provider, but for what it's worth: I'd imagine they would appeal only to a niche market. However, within that niche market, I'd suspect interested clients would make up for any gap they may experience offer only limited services.

I That's definitely one of my red flags. I cut people who have been on six months or less some review slack, but if you've been on the site a year, you need to start having some reviews. And I've "taken one for the team" before with newbies. But I'm not test driving someone who has been around for seven years and has 16 reviews. I generally like to see at least one review in the past four to six months. So yeah -- seven years and 16 reviews? Not enough. Conversely, I'm also suspicious if someone is new and then two months later has 20 or 30 glowing reviews.

I don't have a particular thought to add to the $500 price point per se other than my upper reach for one hour is $350. I just simply can't spend more even if the provider is fantastic. The funds don't exist for more. But I would like to briefly address this idea that threads and discussions on pricing are tiresome and should be limited, etc. I don't think they are tiresome.
