Thank you @MikeBiDude. All good — different opinions make the forum lively, and I’m perfectly fine with the discussion (and observing the rhetorical techniques that some use to deflect from weak arguments)
Just to re-center things: I’ve now spent two full weekends with this young man — one in Palm Springs and one in New Orleans — and my time with him has exceeded expectations each visit. We already had a third weekend planned for Palm Springs (in three months), even before this weekend’s awesome reunion
He’s been on RM since MAY and (excluding my two) already has NINE 5-star reviews. For anyone assessing what actually matters, these firsthand experiences and consistent ratings speak for themselves.

You have identified the need to consider three separate issues, as well as possibly implications for how much reassurance to derive from: overall spontaneous clinical resolution prospects; specific AMR strain clearance potential compared to non-AMR; and judicious (even restrained) use of antibiotics, despite resistance risk, across a range of symptom severity and persistence.
We know clearly neither whether AMR cases are equally self-limited nor whether or how much the subset of overall shigella cases that is severe enough to seek/need antibiotics overlaps with the subset least likely to respond to standard antibiotics. The pinch point clinically is the subset that is severe enough to warrant antibiotics or hospitalization (or both), but precisely where drug resistance matters most. Acquiring day passes for orgies is unlikely.
Thus, the wording that asserts high frequency of overall self-limited disease and the notion that the trend of increasing proportions of drug resistance is consequential are not contradictory. They describe different slices of case distribution.
Our mission, should we choose to accept, is to reduce fecal drift. Your point about transient infection is well taken, though, as annual case numbers reflect mostly spontaneous resolution and brief windows of transmissibility.

On a serious note, I’ve never heard of shigella until this post (and last night’s foursome proceeded as planned)
But, while I understand that symptoms can be severe for compromised people, how serious is this?   If an antibiotic resistant strain in contracted, my research indicates that it will still run its course in days.  While this doesn’t sound pleasant, isn’t it manageable?

One twinkish guy in New Orleans had a breakdown at my house admitting to a gambling addiction then asked me for help.  Not a drama I sought participation in.  After I found him a GA meeting the next day, he started sharing his location with me asking for accountability…but when I confronted him as he’d be at casinos, he’d make up lie after lie.   So I asked him to stop sharing his location which he refused to do…even likely knowing it revealed much more about his other vices and addictions as well.  He’s subsequently fallen to newer lows and has continued to spiral.  But fortunately, we’ve gone a year without him bothering me.

In this case, I’d suggest the application is that this client did not wake up that day thinking “who’s time can I waste today” but, whether through poor composition of the message, simplemindedness, angst, fear, uncertainty, inexperience, etc -that was the result.
As @SecretProvider implies, I hear from other guys that in the first two texts, they can tell whether someone is serious or not.   I believe that to be completely true.  In this case, it did not develop into endless texts or requests for pics etc…but those are the ones easy to spot!
The challenge is responding in a manner that meets them where they are - uninformed, scared, inexperienced, etc - and gets them talking…then they probably have a client for life IF the provider has the time/tolerance to develop the lead.

As a user experience, we know RM is mediocre.  It underscores that it’s equally mediocre from a user security standpoint.
I will say that, from a standpoint of responding to issues on specific profiles, they seem responsive at the webmaster level

May I suggest you do a study of Hanlon’s Razor?  It’s eleven insightful words that I bet you could learn a lot from in your business especially bringing more new clients into the hobby
in counterpoint to your assertions above:
    - the client admits being new in the space,
    - I don’t see any indication of discourse that would have provided ‘jollies’ to the client.
Could the client learn more about writing with the reader in mind?   Sure, so could 80% of Americans… but the provider in this interaction could have done a few things better as well
