  1. Just got back from PV with a "friend". Had a great time. Started off the trip with a couple's massage at the Turkish spa, Hammam (their 2 hour treatment is lovely).  Did Las Caletas (great beach and fun activities), Rhythms of the Night (same place as Las Caletas, but the daytime food was much better), Cerro de la Cruz, and several food tours - one of Versalles and another in the surf town of Sayulita. Ate at La Palapa, Cafe des Artistes, Icu, and Tintoque. Tintoque was my favorite in terms of service, food and ambience, followed by Cafe des Artistes (great dining room). Loved the sunset views from La Palapa. I think I overplanned the meals and found that I didn't enjoy the tasting menus  (Icu, Tintoque) as much as I should have as we were too full from all the other food options/ food tours.

Enjoyed the farmer's market on Saturday as well as the mom and pop shops that sold juices and bbq chicken. On the last night, we tried the 3 strip bars and enjoyed Club 69 followed by Wet Dreams. The Wet Dream guys were my favorite - clean, smooth and friendly. Saw the fine-featured Nicholas who was a dream and offered a 3 way, but we declined. Club 69 was a fun atmosphere and chatted with a few visitors from SF.Pervert was very empty.  Overall, a great time and looking forward to another get away there.

Side note: Will be much harder to travel from JFK directly as the pilot mentioned that after May 2023, the flights will have to connect through LA…:(

I make a goat cheese pasta sauce that is just:

1 4 oz goat cheese log (herbs/garlic is even better!)

    1 tablespoon olive oil

1/4-1/3 cup (basically a ladle) pasta water (wait until about a minute or so before the pasta is ready to come out).

Salt/Pepper/whatever seasonings you like to taste

Basically all you do is put a goat cheese log in a large bowl. I usually take it out of the fridge for a half hour or so before I use it just to keep it softer, but you don't have to. Then drizzle a bit of olive oil, add any seasonings (I do think it helps to add some if you're using a plain goat cheese), then ladle in the hot pasta water. Use a fork to stir it all together.

Drain the pasta and add the hot pasta and you got yourself a pretty good sauce. I like to add veggies too: Peas, asparagus, butternut squash, broccoli, roasted carrots are all pretty good, but whatever you like. This is a good sauce for a "Pasta primavera" type dish.

That's a great idea! I do something similar but use a knob of butter and white miso paste - if you haven't tasted this combo yet, it's awesome. Melt the butter and miso in a pan on low flame and add in the cooked pasta. Pair with protein (I use tuna) and veggies. Quick and easy meal.

    Grindr

In Puerto Vallarta's Romantic Zone, look for Grindr profiles with the 💆emoji, then offer a price for massage and penetration at your hotel room.  When you find a winner, keep his number for future visits.

Is that emoji a code for something? I'm not really familiar with all the emojis :)

  4. Believe this guy is/was Russian Gymnast. I’ve met him many times in the past without incident. He is very sweet. I guess he’s developed a different persona of late. With me, he was accommodating, creative and quite sexy.

  5. Good friends of mine who love New Orleans and got married there, always love the Royal Sonesta. It’s in the heart of everything but can get quite noisy if the room faces Bourbon Street. During festival time, a lot of hotels have minimum multiple night stays and the rates are often higher during this time period. If you do go, try Coquette, a cute restaurant in the Irish Channel neighborhood. A little bit off the beaten path but the food is amazing. I still think about their dishes/ food to this day :)

I’m sure there are many ways to prepare salmon but here’s the recipe I follow.

This is an easy recipe to prepare a dinner for one  and a quick  cleanup.

    Preheat oven to 400°

1/2 lb Fresh Salmon placed on enough aluminum foil to cover completely.

Top with:  sliced tomatoes, mushrooms, carrots, onions, lemon juice, garlic, and seasoning. I add 2 slices of butter but a couple tablespoons of vegetable oil is fine. Sometimes I  add other vegetables that are in the refrigerator.

Once you’ve added all the ingredients, seal the foil around the salmon and place in a cooking pan and into the oven.

Cook for 25 minutes. When done, keep the salmon and extras in the foil and place on a dish. Open and enjoy! Bon appetite! 😋

Salmon is one of my favorite dishes... easy to make.  I usually just put in an oven-to-table ceramic dish and use a little oil, salt and pepper, bake it in the toaster oven at 350 for 20-25 minutes and drizzle with sweet soy sauce in the last 5 mins. But I like your method where you add veggies to the mix!

Just got back from a 5 day vacay in PV. Loved it! GAY, GAY, GAY. The gay beach was fantastic with large waves and  beautiful men.  I've never been to Costa Rica, but PV is definitely a must visit.

Thanks for writing this. It will be my first visit in February :) Looking forward to it.

Yes, we're leaving Vietnam today, just in time to avoidTết or the Vietnamese new year. As they say in Vietnam, Chúc mừng năm mới! We got to see all of the preparations for the festival without having to suffer the crowds and prices during the first week of the new year....

Have fun! Apparently, most Asians observe a similar zodiac as the Chinese, but in Vietnam, this is the year of the Cat as opposed to the Rabbit. Apparently, in the race to determine the zodiac order or animals, the cat pushed the rabbit out of the race... Interestingly, the Vietnamese also eat bitter melon at this time of year to signify that bitterness has passed and happy times ahead. Whereas, the Chinese would only eat auspicious foods and anything bitter would be shunned.

Have you ever dined at Red Cabbage? Off the beaten track, but an easy cab ride. Delicious dishes some inspired by Frida Kahlo. Cash only no credit cards. I’ve eaten there 4-5 times never disappointed.

Wow... so many food options. I am only there for 5 nights...lol. Hope to squeeze in all the recommendations (lunch and dinner). Thank you for the recommendation :)

I've never been to the Iguana, so I can't comment on that one. If you have another evening, I find the River Cafe very romantic, and I love their "Duo de Pato" or magret/confit de canard (duck breast and leg). Another fun thing to do is the Rhythm of the Nights show, which ain't cheap and requires a long boat ride, but is a spectacular show, and there is a romantic beachside buffet after (or before, if you prefer) the show. There are gay booze cruises, but the ones in the big boats (Wet & Wild) are more fun but have been cancelling all of the time due to insufficient attendance. Diana's don't cancel because they are on smaller boats, but not as fun in my opinion. You can also take water taxis to Yelapa for a non-gay daytime experience, with lunches with grilled fish available on Yelapa beach. Don't overlook the short hike to the waterfall with its bar.

The bar/waterfall also often has a lot of butterflies (not always), and I once remarked "Me parece que ese es un lugar de mariposas," meaning "This is a place for butterflies/gay hangout." 😄 There are also some horseback riding options, including one to what's billed as the longest suspension bridge in the world, the Jorullo Bridge at Canopy River, or another that goes to a little waterfall and swimming hole. Also ziplining is available in a number of places. Canopy River also has ATV tours, and all Canopy River trips include the suspension bridge and tequila tasting.

Oh, and most importantly, go to La Noche bar when Super Wendy is performing. You'll have to tip her extra (at least 100 pesos), but you shouldn't miss her performance of "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus (she'll protest if you don't tip in advance). If you're feeling more daring, get her to perform "I will always love you" by Whitney Houston. Those are the two most iconic drag performances of all time.

Unicorn, you are so generous with your suggestions. Really appreciate all the insider tips ;) I just booked the jetblue tickets and the VRBO, along with a few of your restaurant recommendations. We'll be there for 5 nights total, so wanted to leave some breathing room for my friend to chose other restaurants. The Yelapa excursion sounds lovely... i think we'll have enough to do for 4 days (not counting Monday when we arrive and Saturday when we depart)... The Diana cruise, is that a gay cruise? I'm sure i can find them when i visit a tourist center or pick up the gay rag in PV?

I had the opposite experience. We stayed with the tourists and seemed to spend half the day in cabs going to the historic zone.  Too many long cab rides in often heavy traffic. The hotels might be older, but you can't beat the location.

I found a place in the zona romantica that is a few mins from the beach. Already booked Cafe des Artistes, Le Palapa, and the Iguana Restaurant. I prefer the convenience of walking to restaurants and local attractions. Would welcome any must visits/dos as I am a newbie to PVR.

Yes I found it surprising, especially given he’s an escort. It’s like being a carpenter but having an issue with sawdust.
The only issue I have with cum is if it’s in my hair, so difficult to get out.

    Sorry if this is TMI!

I have a cum stained jockstrap used by my favorite guy and I actually took a sniff of it before doing laundry .... didn't realize how intoxicating that musty smell was...
