I, for one, actually enjoy the birthday wishes on Facebook. Somehow it lets me know that people I don't seen very often take a few moments and let me know they are thinking of me. Quite a few of my Facebook "friends" are extended family that I enjoy keeping in touch with and old friends I've made along the way. I also use Facebook to send birthday wishes to them when it is their turn.

I took an early retirement offer over 10 years ago and haven't had a paycheck since then, living off savings and investments. My FICO has been consistent over that time. I use my credit cards, but pay them off in full prior to the payment due date. Some of the cards have fairly sizable credit limits which I never come close to using, since I always want to be able to pay the balance in full each month. This leads me to believe that the mere fact that one retires has little, if any bearing on the score.

I also had a collection of matchbooks from places, mostly restaurants and bars that I'd been to, going back to the 1970's. I have been clearing out the storage area of my basement in preparation for downsizing and spent time looking through them, trying to remember the places they came from and then trashed them.

I watched some interviews with the cast in which they said that from the original scripts it seemed like the show would be a lot more explicit and raunchy ("Raunchy" being a direct quote). There was even talk of fitting a couple of the male cast members with prosthetic dicks. Ultimately, the show ended up being shot to be a lot tamer than originally suggested. (Unfortunately)

He was also in a sci-fi show called "Dark Skies" where I first took notice of him. His character in "Locke & Key" is totally hetero at this point, although I still have two episodes left to watch in Season 1.

In my 20's I said I didn't want kids, then I changed my mind and now have two, a son and a daughter. The very best thing I have done in my life.

I don't post often, but this forum has been part of my daily routine for many years. During December, I will surely miss it. I sincerely hope that the "closed for remodeling" sign, will indeed come down in January and the welcoming doors will be flung wide open again. Despite its issues and detractors, this is a special place. I am not ready to move on.

It kind of depends on the theater. Some have stepped orchestra seating which is better than slanted floors for seeing over the folks in the row in front of you. My preference is to try and snag an aisle seat which usually affords a clear view.. The mezzanine is usually stepped so that is almost always a good choice if want to avoid the "bobbing and weaving".

Kevin and "V" have the two daughters. The little boy that is usually in their household is the son of Svetlana, the Russian who had become part owner of their bar, and Mickey, who was Ian's boyfriend. For parts of the previous season, Kevin, V, and Svetlana formed a "thruple", a threesome couple.

I saw the original production at the Village Gate a couple of times. I also saw the later Broadway version as well as a production in Philadelphia (which had "The Cunnilingus Champion of Company C" taken out due to a copyright issue with the folks responsible for "Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy". The show was quite provocative at the time, but this was also around the era of "Oh Calcutta" and the movie "Deep Throat". Of course, I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The young man in the initial off-broadway run at Village gate who sang "I'm Gay" was beautiful. I recall as we left the show, some members of the cast came into the audience (naked) to thank us for coming. I also saw the 2013 remount which apparently had some level Earl Wilson Jr.'s involvement. It didn't have the nudity of the original and just kind of fell flat for me. What seemed exciting and provocative in 1974, no longer seemed either.

Saw Mark Dalton perform at the Gaiety a couple of times - spent some one-on-one time with him as well. He was always very nice and polite. Was sad to read of his troubles and wish him the best.

Seeing this next week, big fan of both Karen and Aaron. Most of the online comments I have read do mention the lack of chemistry between the two. Will have to judge for myself. Still looking forward to it.

I didn't really get this play when I saw it last year in Chicago. Saw Young Jean Lee in the audience furiously taking notes and figured it might get some major rework. Saw it again two weeks ago in New York. It didn't change much at all from Chicago, I still didn't get it, but didn't hate it either. Enjoyed seeing Armie Hammer and Josh Charles on stage. Whatever she was going for had no resonance with me, but the reviews today were largely OK. Obviously they found more there than I did.
