GHart reacted to Cruiser7 in *Long Island ??
Saw him at his own place in, I think, Mineola. Wasn’t impressed, shorted me a lot of time and nothing was that good. Wouldn’t recommend.
Others have stated Kurt and that’s true, he’s very good and so is Shawn.

GHart reacted to Typical in *Why use rentmasseur when you want sex?
I once gave a large “tip” after a massage went way beyond what was expected and the masseur seemed offended. He handed all the excess back to me and said rather coldly “I don’t do that for money.”
So I just firmly believe people outside the room should withhold comment and do what works best for them and the people they see. I see people who charge $200 and I pay $200, even though things may go well beyond standard service. But I see them multiple times a month and we have a nice relationship., such as it is.
I’m no Adonis just getting it because. I’m pushing 60. But I am a regular. I show up on time and clean. I don’t push for anything the masseur doesn’t want to give and understand some days will be different from others. We always laugh a lot. There is never any drama. And I’m generally flexible on time - I don’t demand 6pm on Friday. I cheerfully take a slot that might otherwise be empty for them. I also don’t want to be thought of as a rich guy throwing money around just because I can to get exactly what I want. That’s offensive
It works me and the folks I see and nothing regarding payment needs to be justified to anyone else. So tip away. I would never discourage that. But understand that there may be some other things just as important or perhaps more important in the transaction and don’t judge what other people do.

So many clients here, who cant differentiate between marketing and actual physical attraction. 🙄

..and I did NOT assume that, because you clearly said "some people"...not "I". My referral to "you", is a case of the English language using you for singular and plural. There is no proper "y'all" in the vocabulary.

GHart reacted to DunwoodyGuy in *Why use rentmasseur when you want sex?
I guarantee you that no one but no one on this board goes to a masseuse hoping it leads to sex.
"Masseuse" is the French word for a female massage practitioner. If you mean a male practitioner, the word is "masseur."
Perhaps while you are learning the difference between male and female, you could also endeavor to remove your finger from your sphincter and learn to be less judgmental and condescending.

For many guys sex happens too quickly. Guys rush to penetration, and then it’s over…all too fast. This could happen easily with an escort. Massage slows all of this down. Sensual massage is like choreographed foreplay, the build up of tension (including ‘will he fuck me? or will he let me fuck him?’) is part of the journey and the journey counts just as important as the destination. Good masseurs can have you absolutely begging for it after an hour 😉

I've said before, I'll say it again; there should be a topic titled "masseur = male / masseuse = female" that is PINNED at the top of the Spa forum.

Bozo has had limited interactions with masseuses. However, at no time was there a hope it would lead to sex.

The lack of reviews isn’t too surprising.

Jamie, I love reading your posts. I’ve learned a lot from you.
In this particular thread, I’m not sure those of us in the U.S. can reasonably take your advice (to be specific in pre-appointment conversations about which activities are of interest to us) without placing providers and possibly ourselves at legal risk.
I understand that the risk is likely negligible; that isn’t, however, equivalent to zero risk.
To be fair, I’m someone with minimal hiring experience (Champagne taste on a generic beer budget!) so I’d love to hear from others in the U.S. - both providers and clients - on how they manage this aspect of the hiring process.
TIA

My parents owned a hair salon, so growing up I was told you don't tip the owner of a business, but you tip the service team because they are maybe renting the chair, etc. I apply that to massage. When I go to a spa, I understand that you are paying the spa for the 60 or 90 minutes, the masseur is getting paid an hourly rate, therefore you tip the masseur at the spa. But if someone is working for themselves they can just set their own rates accordingly. This is why it seemed a bit brazen for him to turn around and ask me for a tip on top of a nearly $500 massage.

GHart reacted to NYClooking in Masseur wanting more?
Thanks, Manhattan. Part of the sanity check is because I don’t think I’m attractive enough to have any guys fall for me - much less providers. I don’t have posts because (as you correctly sussed) I don’t post. I def am not a looker and checking what people thought was my way of asking if this was indeed a delusional fantasy or if this was any way real. Everyone wants to feel wanted. He made me feel wanted, which I guess is the point of a provider. But most (all?) have left me feeling empty and transactional, which tracks for a transactional equation. This didn’t. The cuddling and talking after (which he asked if we could do unless I was busy) didn’t. Being called sexy and being asked if I’m taken didn’t. Being told no one else made him cum like I did didn’t. I don’t get told that EVER, including from non providers lol. Also I’m 35 and he’s 32 so it’s not even an age power dynamic. Anyway, I hope you have a good night and are less quick to dismiss anyone’s experience that doesn’t align with yours.

When I was a young and somewhat innocent gayling, there was an interesting and often unpredictable street scene on a street I’m reasonably sure no longer even exists.
I haven’t lived in DC in pretty close to half a century (Yikes. I’m fucking old.) but the street I’m talking about is (was!) Half Street SE. It was home to one of my favorite dance clubs at the time, The Other Side. If I’m not mistaken, The Follies was across the street. (Some of you sharper men might confirm that or correct me as the case may be.)
But to the point of another poster on this thread, I don’t believe it’s solely due to my age that I miss the socializing that use to happen on the streets of so many cities. The apps will never replace that. Well, not successfully, at any rate.

GHart reacted to + Tarte Gogo in HK. Men Spa
I think there is a misunderstanding here. Expecting a tip is fine, asking for one is not fine. Imagine if your waiter in a restaurant or your hairdresser verbally asked you “How much will you tip?”
But this is especially a problem since asking for tip in exchange for extra services would get the place closed, and forbidden to do business, if the client is an undercover policeman. This has happened to Time Square Men Spa very recently, another spa which is only 10 blocks from HK men spa. And it will happen again.

It won’t.

GHart reacted to + ApexNomad in Do you pay for poor performance?!?
There’s a difference between setting expectations and micromanaging execution. If I book a provider and say I want a boyfriend experience or a dominant top, that’s me setting expectations. In my opinion, it’s not my job to tell him how to get and maintain an erection. With what I’m paying, I would hope he knows how to cross the finish line.
How would I even know if a provider needs Trimix or Viagra? And if I start insisting they take it, does that mean I’m responsible for providing or paying for it? That doesn’t make sense. If they need something to perform, that’s for them to figure out—not for me to manage or finance.
-
GHart reacted to Rod Hagen in Do you pay for poor performance?!?
No it's not, wise ass. If you tell the top he needs to use Trimix before he arrives, or STRONGLY recommend he does, you're guaranteed to get the erection your hole desires and not have to be haggling with him at the door.

GHart reacted to Monarchy79 in Do you pay for poor performance?!?
Actually you should name names….
What if this is this guy’s shtick? He knows he’s a catfish, he knows the client is going to be uninterested, and he knows the client is going to feel guilty and pay him…
Imagine making $300 + per hour to turn people OFF?
That dude is brilliant!!
-
GHart reacted to + ApexNomad in Do you pay for poor performance?!?
Respectfully, I don’t think a client should have to tell a provider how to do his job. Once I’ve communicated what I hope to get from the experience—whether it’s a boyfriend experience, a hard fuck, or something else—it’s on the provider to handle the rest. I’m a bottom, so I make sure I’m fully clean and prepped—that’s my responsibility. I don’t expect a provider to tell me that, just like I wouldn’t expect to have to tell a top that he needs Viagra or Trimix. How would I even know? That’s on him to manage.
Beyond that, even asking could be insulting or set the wrong tone before we’ve even met. I don’t want to start things off by implying I doubt his ability to perform. If a provider needs something to stay hard, that’s his responsibility to figure out—not mine.

GHart reacted to + Vegas_Millennial in Do I need to keep paying to feel this kind of connection?
Walk up and ask HIM. Even if 99 say No, 1 will say Yes. Don't wait to be pursued. The Constitution guarantees every citizen the right to Pursuit of Happiness, but you must do the pursuing!
This used to happen to me, too. Men on apps would be begging to come over and have sex with me. I finally decided to make my standard reply: "I'll be at XX bar tomorrow night at 10pm, if you want to meet me there". 9 out of 10 flaked. But 1 showed up... And that's a date. Have the will power to keep your legs closed until after meeting him in public first. The 1 out of 10, or 1 out of 100, who show up is what is it is. In the meantime, you're out of the house and off your telephone enjoying the wonderful city in which you live.
