  1. This year, more than ever, escorts have given me some grief or guilt about booking appointments that interfere with their personal plans. For example, I have an appointment scheduled tonight, and the guy commented "I was supposed to go with my friends to Rehoboth this weekend" but we are meeting any way.

Is this just me or is it happening to other guys?

WOW! Talking about "attitude" ... these guys should be grateful for having clients especially at times like these. Bottom line it is very disrespectful and unprofessional. Let me guess, this particular provider wasn't a well-reviewed one here on this site...

  2. Question: if you take a provider with you and you gamble, do you have to front the provider’s gambling funds?

I'd say it varies. I have clients from both ends of the spectrum. Obviously, we are talking about extended appointments here and sometimes I get a certain pre-determined fund that is allocated for the sole purposes of gambling, other times not. Of course in case it is the latter, I use a very tiny portion of my money to gamble with my client and mostly the joint gambling just turns into "voyurism" and "companionship" (not to mention my most valuable skill: being a lucky charm) :p ;)

  3. Do you gamble Peter?

I used to, now just a tiny bit if / when my time permits. With clients it is a lot more frequent I'd say! :-)

Vegas got a lot better about its mask policy, now they have temperature checks at all points of entries at most casinos, mask policy is very strictly enforced everywhere I have gone. You can find sanitizers in every 10-20 feet. Avoid the one at the Cosmopolitan however, for some reason their sanitizer smells like dog food (the very stinky kind) :p:oops:o_O

  4. Hey, for anyone who has any experience here:

I'm thinking on going on a vacation and inviting a professional to accompany me and see the sites during the day, and have fun at nights. What would I expect to pay for a week?

Assume I'm covering all hotel, travel, and food options, and it's a decent hotel.

I would say, communication is key when it comes to setting expectations. Also, I would advise you to do your research and make sure that the person you are going to hire for an extended time has actual experience in catering to clientele who prefers extended appointments. Also a good sign if he has reviews from extended appointments where you can read his feedback left by clients like you.

It is preferable to test the waters with a shorter appointment first to see if there is a chemistry however I understand if that cannot be done sometimes. Also, remember that spending a week with someone vs. 1 hour can make a huge difference. It is a big expense and you want to make sure that your hard-earned money is spent on someone who can reciprocate it with delivering you fond memories that you can recall even years later.

    Enjoy your time!

  5. Interesting. I wonder if they figure on it being out of towners and so assume they will pay fine and not contest -irrespective of evidence. A long time ago I drove in Northern NV, I got a ticket for doing 27mph in a 25 mph zone. There was not a single other car and the cop car was hiding behind a structure. MY area usually have a 5mph grace.

I hired a lawyer who got it settled with me paying a fine, but no points on my record. maybe majority do the same -pay a bunch and the case goes away?

As a personal opinion, I highly doubt that it makes any difference who is from here or out of town. 1 arrest equals 1 arrest and that equals to 1 potential fine assessed. Contrarily to the general belief that "everything flies in Vegas" it could not be less true. People think it does but then they get arrested. The "good" thing about it is that when it comes to things like that (solicitation, speeding...and misdemeanor-related incidents...etc.) they seem to have quite streamlined processes in place and inexpensive attorneys who basically assist you not to have real detrimental records and to most of the times just get away with a fine.

  6. I wonder if the concept of "meeting a quota" is based on some sort of stastical analysis that is based upon in summary that it's not sp important as you say for strong court cases and high conviction rates, but actually assumes that the potential threat/risk of being cited acts more as an overall macro level deterent. Maybe every once in a while they will snag a lead related to a bigger illegal sex trafficking ring but in the meantime to lower the overall levels of what is deemed "prostitution" they reckon it keeps levels lower. (I'm hypothesizing). Similar to issuing speeding ticket citations to decrease frequency of overall speeds which has some stastical links to # of traffick related deaths.

That is a very interesting hypothesis. Could be, I guess we will never know. In my opinion, the main purpose is about generating money for the county since the vast majority of the cases end up with fines and some other stuff (like online awareness courses and other exciting things).

  7. Interesting. So if they sit in bars and pick you up, do they discuss money or just try and pick you up and then arrest you-it being officer's word against yours?

This particular method is more common in the straight world. At what point do they discuss money in exchange for services, no idea. It could happen there or in room. Officer's word against yours... could be, depending on whether they have recorded the conversation or not. I have heard cases when they did, heard cases when they did not. The name of the game is "meeting the quota", again, they care less how strong the case is in court.

  8. Sidebar:

I don’t understand why anyone would even think of hiring in LV. It’s entirely too many free options for sex.

Entirely too many visitors, there with the sole purpose of hedonism.

Based on that logic, what's the point of hiring in NYC, LA, SF and most other big metropolitan cities?! Furthermore, Vegas doesn't have much of a gay life/scene...

  9. Well said and I can’t agree more! For those cops the easiest thing is to catch someone for traffic violations moving or non moving and slap tickets. And run after the legal aged, independent escorts and arrest them to show how great of a work they have done. On the other side they will neglect the real issues and catch hard core criminals!

That is very sad and very true!

  10. It happens in many ways, shapes and forms, especially in Las Vegas. There is no other city in the USA where the activities of vice is so prevalent. Although they MOSTLY target the straight world, it happens plenty when they "go both ways" ... Typically, they do it all, so can't tell you how it goes down "typically". Female undercover officers sit at bars and try to pick you up (haven't heard of men doing it to other men) and male officers do the same thing to women. Vice, printing out hundreds of ads and dialing like there is no tomorrow. Using emails to set up dates, chat features, text messages. They really do it all.

They don't want to imprison you for this, but the county really needs the revenue that derives from it. That may be one of the reasons why someone (I have read it) who was the top offender in Las Vegas got arrested for solicitation over 130 times and only served jail time TWICE. It is all about the revenue!

When I visited a good client of mine and popped up my usual question of "so what brings you to town" he swiftly responded: "A court date".

...so turns out he hired a masseur online and it was vice. They arrested him and searched his room. Turns out he was in town with his ex boyfriend who happened to have drugs in the room. Later on the solicitation charge was dropped simply because the DA knew they had no case against him whatsoever (Vegas is very peculiar in that regards, vice needs to meet quotas and they care less about the "strength of the case"), but they ended up charging him with a much greater issue (possession of drugs) and the legal defense was rather costly for him.

As I said, Vegas is a special case in many ways when it comes to this line of work. No entrapment laws here, forget about local vs. foreign number, sometimes they go as far as dressing up as an Arab sheikh (actually it was in one of the episodes of cops), cheap room vs. big suite (virtually all hotels participate) and if you read the penal code, it is written in a very vague way that opens up to a lot of different ways of interpretation. Add to the mix that many people think solicitation is "all legit" here; spoiler alert: It is NOT!

Sadly, one of Daddy's golden rules of "know the law" doesn't necessarily protect you from an arrest, but it does protect you from convictions. There are certain guidelines you can implement for yourself to try to mitigate risk, but if LE wants you, they will have you (whether it is a legtimate arrest or not, they care less). I am not an attorney and the above one is not a legal advice, just my personal opinion and experience of 10+ years in Las Vegas, so consult an attorney to know how the law applies in your situation. End of fine-print :D

  11. @Shawn Monroe – I did ask, “Also – is it too much to expect a guy to say outright he’s not interested instead of “ghosting” (not sure it’s ghosting in this business, but you know what I mean...)” Answering “I’m sorry. I’m not interested” would save me time. I’ve had an escort tell me “I don’t owe you an explanation,” which I suppose is true, regarding why he cancelled on me and got rude. But some guys don’t even do that much. They just...disappear. Which is a clear message, but you have to wait to find out...

Likewise, I guess I’m asking for a discussion about the clients. Perhaps it’s my impression, but it seems the way some providers speak (on this forum even) is as if a client should feel honored to even get a “hey” back, let alone more details.

@azdr0710 – I always try to be articulate so that I can convey I’m serious, say that I’m contacting after having seen a RM ad and if I could know about overnight and weekend rates. That seems to me a good opener...Not long but clearly not just looking to jerk someone around unprofessionally. Perhaps some guys don’t want an articulate, professional interaction. In that case, say outright “not interested.”

It is a sad phenomenon and you are right about it. It is just courtesy to politely decline and move on. You have no idea, how often that actually happens on the clients' side as well. I can only speak for myself and unless your messages are not rude or demeaning by nature, I always respond to everyone. Bottom line, it is much better that this sort of behavior (whether client or escort side) happens PRIOR to you paying out your hard-earned money to someone who reciprocates it with lack of courtesy, professionalism, and disrespect.

  12. I am curious about the what escorts usually prefer when a potential client makes contact to set up a session in advance when visiting your city. I live in smaller market city, so I tend to look for guys when travelling.

Usually I try to contact through RM or text directly, and let them know when I'm looking. I try to do this when I know my travel dates, which are usually a few weeks to a month in advance. If I know my schedule well enough, I try to set the time and date, but if I don't I try to let them know when I expect to set the date instead of leaving it open until I get in town. A lot of times I don't get responses, but I haven't had any big issues with meeting the guys who do respond.

Do you look at clients that contact for something that far in advance suspiciously? What tends to put you most at ease with visitors?

Setting up dates in advance is by FAR my preference. I love planning my schedule out especially because most of my clients set up their own travel in the same fashion. Since I travel extensively and exclusively (with/to) clients, I can make arrangements much more efficiently, so in conclusion:

NO, not suspicious at all, rather preferred! ;-)

  14. @Benjamin_Nicholas – that’s the other things that aren’t equal ;) When the client demands something other than what is widely available on the market, the curve shifts. If both curves shift (higher demand price and higher supply price), I suspect we’ll see an overall shift in the market. Markets of any nature rarely just fall after adjusting to a new higher equilibrium. It takes major outside forces to push down equilibrium in a homeostatic market. And given the need and desire for money and sex, the market is rather sticky and inelastic. It takes something a global pandemic for us to even entertain the idea of a shift in the market, and even then we’re skeptical it’ll shift.

Good point. Also worth noting here that this market in particular tends to be more sticky than others ;):D
